Location:

Embedded in a quiet and rural surrounding, this spacious house is located only a few hundred metres away from one of Mallorca’s most important wetland nature reserves, S´Albufera. Lovers of nature will find a plethora of wild birds to observe, hiking paths to explore, as well as bike routes to discover.

The scenic view of the nearby mountain Oriolet, creates a beautiful contrast to the otherwise predominantly flat terrain of the area. From the porch of the villa, one has an especially nice view of the picturesque countryside. The well-known, vast and shallow sandy beaches of Alcudia, Playa de Muro und Can Picafort are only a few kilometres away, as well as a huge selection of restaurants and shops.

Description of the villa and property:

Five steps lead from the garden up to the terrace, which surrounds the entire house and is partly covered. The rest of the total living space, of 150 m², is flat and therefore easily accessible.

The property is ideal for families with children. The private, fenced off swimming pool provides safety, and the large lawn, gardens, the sandbox and the play swing give plenty of incentive for fun, while the adults may engage in a game of ping pong.

The smaller, zoological garden is home to some different breeds of birds, pigeons, quails and chickens. The guests may consume as many eggs as they can find. They are also welcome to harvest vegetables from the vegetable patch. The owner of the villa periodically looks after the garden, swimming pool and animals; he lives in the house next door. A small fish pond is located in the front of the house, where there is also parking space for up to three cars. Accommodating your family pet, in case you would like to bring them along, can be arranged by previously speaking with the owner of the villa.

For six people:

The villa has the charming character of a typical Mallorcan house: in the entrance and living room one finds handmade dishes and clay vases, as well as carefully embroidered cushions and wall decorations.

The living room is equipped with a TV with satellite connection and air conditioning. On the left hand of the spacious living room there is a door that leads out onto the terrace and swimming pool. At the end of the living room there is an adjoining kitchen, which is equipped with all the amenities of a modern kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, oven, etc.). The spacious kitchen also contains a dining table for six people. Behind the kitchen you will find the pantry and a room with a washing machine, ironing set, a shower and a doorway that leads to the terrace.

Behind the living room there are three bright bedrooms, all of which have their own built-in wardrobe and air conditioning. Two bedrooms (two single beds each 90 x 190cm) share a bathroom with WC, bidet and bathtub, and the third bedroom boasts an ensuite bathroom, with WC, bidet and bathtub.

Electricity is charged apart according to consumption at 0,23 € / kWh.

The mandatory stay tax is included in the rental price. No other fees apply.

Well equipped villa with good layout and lovely garden

We had a lovely stay in the 2 last weeks of June. Both the owner (Juan) and the agent were very helpful and friendly.The layout of the house is excellent, patio on two sides, and the outdoor table had early morning and late evening sun, but shadow during the day. AC in the living room and all bedrooms. Nice furniture, flatscreen with mostly German channels. There is a large garden, and we played football, volleyball (Juan put up a net for us) and table tennis on the lawn. Well equipped kitchen and outdoor barbecue worked perfectly. The pool is small (2,5m x 6m by my estimate) but clean. Functional sunbeds. The location is not seaside, and a car is essential, but it is not more than five minutes drive to Alcudia Beach. It may be difficult to find, a preview on Google maps/streetview is recommended. The mosquitoes arrived at sunset (the property is located in a wetland area) so we did not sit outside after 9pm. Summed up the villa was very much up to expectations and we stayed more on the property than we had intended.

Drei Wochen im Februar

Wir verbrachten im Februar drei schöne Wochen im Haus von Juan, dieser kam einmal am Tag um nach den Tieren zu schauen und war immer ansprechbar wenn etwas war. Das Haus ist perfekt ausgestattet. Der große Garten bietet viel Platz für die Kinder zum spielen. Juan brachte immer wieder ein paar neue Spielsachen für unsere zwei Kinder. Ein Highlight sind die Tiere, wir hatten jeden Tag frische Eier von den Hühnern. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig am Rande eines Naturschutzgebietes. Man ist aber in 5 Minuten in Alcudia und bis Palma ist es etwas mehr als eine halbe Stunde. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind schnell mit dem Auto erreichbar. Das Wetter war nicht so gut, aber im Haus haben wir uns es mit Kamin und Heizung Abends schön gemütlich gemacht. Seit diesem Jahr gibt es eine Aussenküche die wir einweihen durften. Ein großes Plus ist der eingezäunte Pool, man braucht daher nicht immer Angst haben wenn man mit kleinen Kindern unterwegs ist. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, wenn es nicht noch so viel anderes auf der Welt entdecken zu gebe. Danke Juan

Really nice elderly villa

3½ star :) Very nice, but do not expect luxury.

We travelled as two parents with three kids (1+5+6 years old).

The kids loved the place, but did not use the pool more than 5 min. in total (normally they will stay all day in the pool). Probably a combination of low temperature and espcially because it is very small: App. 1½*3½ meter.

Everything is almost as described. It is a nice house and very children friendly.

The owner who comes every day to feed the animals and walk the dogs appear friendly. Moreover, Petra from the agency are indeed truly helpful and friendly.

We had some minor issues during our stay e.g.:

• We stayed end of April 2016 and the weather was cold (around 8-10 degrees during night and in the morning - 18-19 during daytime) which meant heating was necessary, but the "aircondition" in the “parent” bedroom was not working. It could not heat, so the bedroom temperature was around 12 degrees during our stay.

• Notice: The beds are of economy standards (very short 180/190) and one was broken (as one piece of plastic+wood was missing), so the first night I woke up on the floor, because I turned around and the madress fell down to the ground with a bang. (I am 180 cm and "only" 89 kg ;) ).

• Water supply was closed during night time until 08 am, which was a problem when we should change diaper on our baby without water, or we could not flush out after going to the toilet or wash hands afterwards.

We enjoyed our stay, but we will look for a little higher standard next time.

The villa Es Raco des Puig belongs to the town of Alcudia and is located close to Puerto de Alcudia. This area is famous for it´s vast sandy beaches which extend to Can Picafort and Playa de Muro. The water is crystalline and the beaches are mostly shallow, allowing for great water pleasure. The old town of Alcudia, with it´s historic wall surrounding the core of the town, offers a glimpse into authentic Mallorquin lifestyle. Beautiful specialty shops, delicious restaurants offering tapas, mallorquin dishes, meat and fish specialties, as well as the local market attract numerous visitors each year.

A great variety of summer fun activities and aquatic sports, such as water skiing, jet skis, banana rides, scuba diving, paragliding, sailing or horse back riding, excursions with quads and go-karts, are easily and quickly accessed. A fantastic selection of diverse restaurants is available both in Puerto de Alcudia and in Alcudia: lovers of traditional cuisine or ethnic foods will easily find their favorite spot, just as those with a discerning palate will enjoy the highly elaborated dishes of Puerto Alcudia´s fine restaurants, such as El Jardin.

A large choice of nightly entertainment is at close proximity as well: pretty terraces, spectacular chill-out bars right on the beach, salsa pubs for dancing, life performances, concerts and discos.

All of this you will encounter at only 5 km from the villa Es Raco des Puig.

The well-known sports event “Iron Man” was celebrated for the first time in 2013 in Alcudia. After its great success the “Half Iron Man” is now held each year in May and the “Full Iron Man” takes place in September.
