The accommodation comprises entrance lobby, living room/kitchen, twin bedroom with ensuite shower room. The kitchen has electric cooker with ceramic hob, microwave, & fridge. The living area has TV, DVD, coal effect stove and central heating. Free WiFi is available. A garden gate opens onto the cycle/pedestrian path which gives quick access to shops and restaurants and beyond into the countryside.

About Barbara Legg

My husband and I are retired teachers who enjoy gardening and all things natural. Our holiday accommodation, which was a purpose built extension to our own bungalow, is where we have welcomed guests for the last twelve years from all parts of the UK and abroad. In fact our "returnees" have become established friends. We particularly enjoy sharing our garden with our visitors which makes all the hard work worthwhile!

Why Barbara Legg chose Callander

Morar is situated well off the busy main road but enjoys the benefit of the footpath for quick and easy access to the shops and restaurants. Equally walks from the door are many and various. The Bracklin Falls are a great attraction with the newly constructed bridge and a walk up the Crags affords you some spectacular views across to Loch Venachar and the hills beyond.

What makes this apartment unique

All our guests comment on the peace and quiet at Morar which is only disturbed by the song of the birds and for many it is a great change from the sounds of city life.

Use of well maintained garden for relaxation and bird watching. Immediate access to cycle/pedestrian long distance path (cycle route 7) from the garden. Rivers Teith and Leny meet in Callander creating a large basin with seats to watch the wildlife of the river. Canoeing is popular on the river throughout the year. There is a large Antiques Centre nearby in Doune. Stirling and Doune castles are well worth a visit, as is the Wallace monument. Go-Ape is situated in the Aberfoyle Forest Park which also has miles of forestry walks and a visitor centre with live cameras trained on osprey nests and other wildlife habitats. Ben Ledi, Ben Lomond, Ben A'an and many other hill walks not far away.The amazing Falkirk Wheel and Visitor Centre is situated just the other side of Stirling. Trossachs lochs and hills a few miles away and loch Venachar and Loch Lubnaig only four miles away. Enjoy a Steam ship cruise on Loch Katrine.
