About Lynsey Hodgkinson

We are a family of four, our two boys are aged 21 and 22 are both at University.

We chose to have a holiday home in Bourton-on-the-Water as it is such a pretty and friendly village. We especially love the freedom of being able to walk into the village and enjoy its facilities, such as lovely shops and restaurants without having to get in the car.

Lynsey Hodgkinson purchased this cottage in 2014

Why Lynsey Hodgkinson chose Cotswold district

We chose this property because it has lots of traditional charm and character. When we first walked in we knew it had potential, with it's lovely spacious, bright layout. We just knew, with a lot of hard work and a bit of inspiration, we could make this lovely stone Cotswold cottage, with it's pretty walled garden, a very special place to spend time.

What makes this cottage unique

Jasmine Cottage is within a few minutes walk of the village centre, where you can picnic along the River Windrush or have a cream tea in one of the many tea shops. Several restaurants offer a mixture of cuisine all within 4 minutes walk.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We love the cottage - and an added bonus we were allowed to bring our dog, Sammy. The cottage is stunning with quality and classy furniture and fittings. We wish it was ours!

STUNNING!!!

  • 5 of 5

You will not be anyway disappointed with your stay at Jasmine, it is a beautifull property, but not only that the owners Lynsey and Darren have gone beyond the job of providing a beautifull property for you to stay in but also the cottage is so very well equipped with everything you could need including fresh flowers (which are my fav anyway) chocolates and milk but they have not scrimped on providing you with all you will need for your holiday, apart from the fact they are a delightfull couple and take huge pride in this property for the holiday market, we will be back for sure, and an extra bonus is the location perfect for walking into Bourton on the Water for a stoll around the shops, best holiday by far thankyou to you both from us both xx

Beautiful Jasmine Cottage!

  • 5 of 5

First impressions of Jasmine Cottage, was "WOW", the cottage is absolutely beautiful throughout, I could not fault a thing, such attention to detail, we loved staying here, very cosy, a home from home. Perfect location just a short stroll to the shops, pubs and restaurants. We would certainly stay again!

Perfect cottage in a perfect location

  • 5 of 5

Deborah L

This cottage ticks all the boxes, location, layout, facilities etc.

The attention to detail is second to none, from the milk and chocolates on arrival to the twinkly lights in the trees in the garden. The cottage is spotless and two good size bedrooms and a very large bathroom upstairs and a very handy bathroom downstairs.

We took our 4 year old niece and we had lots to do, visiting Birdland, Dragonfly Maze and not to forget the local baths which is just a short drive / walk from Jasmine cottage.

This was my second stay at Jasmine cottage but deffinately not my last. You won't be dissapointed if you book this cottage "simply perfect".

Thank you Lyndsey

Superb holiday hideaway in ideal location...

  • 5 of 5

Jasmine Cottage was perfect for my week in Bourton on the Water. Everything about it is just ideal, from the courtyard garden to sit in, well equipped kitchent, pretty bedrooms and large bathroom. Five star.

Even before arriving, the helpful owner had made a very positive impression and it is very clear how much care and attention is put into this holiday cottage.

Beautifully presented and spotlessly clean, it was a real pleasure to stay in such a well equipped and superbly decorated holiday property.

Walking to the village (five minutes) via a rear lane was a daily pleasure and Stow on the Wold is a short drive. Burford Garden Company, Daylesford and Hidcote Garden are all within easy distance too.

I would highly recommend a stay at Jasmine Cottage and I am looking forward to a repeat visit in the not too distant future.

Fantastic Cottage and Host

  • 5 of 5

Jasmine Cottage is a bright spacious spotlessly clean holiday cottage in Bourton on the Water. (The photos on web site don't do it justice) It is down a quiet lane but only a 5 min walk from the centre of the centre of this beautiful, busy village.

Lynsey is the perfect host and owner of this fantastic cottage

I would recommend this accommodation to anyone planning to stay in this part of The Cotswolds.

Beautiful Cotswolds Cottage!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a fabulous week in the beautiful Jasmine Cottage in Bourton on the Water. The cottage itself was immaculate, scrupulously clean and very cottage boxy! Well equipped with tulips, chocolates and milk awaiting us on our arrival. The fact we could take our baby (dog Rowan) made it all the more special.
