Castle House Farm offers the opportunity to holiday in 2 individually special cottages accommodating up to 14 guests! The complex is made up of Castle House, a Grade ll listed farmhouse, and the attached newly and sympathetically converted barn, Brownridge Cottage.


About the property

Castle House Farm

Castle House Farm includes a Grade ll listed farmhouse, which has been carefully restored by the current owners. It has been in the same family for 70 years; purchased by Harry and Becky Brownridge in 1947 for their son Arthur Matthew. The oldest part of the house is 17th Century , but it is thought the property is on the site of a much older long barn. The presence of original Yorkshire sliders, Georgian sash windows and Victorian casements provide a clue to the development of the farmhouse over previous centuries. It lies in the historic and picturesque village of Hunmanby. It is about three miles from lovely, sandy beaches and is also the gateway to the gently rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds. It features original beams and tiled corridors, uneven with wear in places. Most of the upstairs rooms feature cast iron fire places. The decor is sympathetic but with a modern twist.

Bedlinen & Towels are provided.

Highchair & Cot are available.

This is a non smoking property.

Up to 2 well behaved dogs are welcome at a surcharge (£25 per pet).

Available for weekend and midweek breaks.

Serenity - fabulous little apartment.

We only booked Serenity for 3 nights but really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was immaculate, and really well placed for all the amenities in Filey. Parking in Filey is challenging, but the owner does allow you to park at the back of his house should you have a problem, which is a real plus. We'll definitely be booking Serenity again.

The parking is challenging in Filey but the owner does allow you to park at the back of his house should you have a problem. We will definitely go back.
