Our modern 2nd floor self-catering, luxury apartment with free wifi is in a prime position at Duquesa Suites which is situated in an elevated position with sea views and surrounded by an 18 hole golf course. Only 1km from the beautiful and secluded Puerto Duquesa halfway between Marbella/Puerto Banus and Gibraltar which are both just 25 minutes away. The apartment is a 15 minutes walk to the marina, bars, restaurants, shops and beaches. It has high quality marble floors throughout and is fully air-conditioned (hot and cold) in all rooms and offers free wifi to renters. It has a well equipped kitchen, with cooker, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster and kettle. The utility room has a washing machine. The lounge/dining room is well furnished with dining table for 6, two sofas (one of which converts to a good quality double bed), TV together with a DVD/CD Player, WiFi connection, with patio doors leading onto an extensive SW facing terrace equipped with table, recliners, chairs and foot stools.

Golf: The area between Gibraltar and Malaga is a paradise for golfers with over forty courses to choose from and indeed the apartment is surrounded by Duquesa Golf Course. This course has all that an expert or amateur player needs. It was designed by the world renowned and prestigious Mr Robert Trent Jones. Located as it is with views of the sea and mountains, this course enjoys a well deserved reputation. there are other superb golf courses within 15 minutes of Duquesa and these include Estepona, San Roque, Sotogrande and the world famous Valderraman. Golf prices and other information about the courses can be obtained in the Port.

Alternative Travel via Seville/Jerez: There are now cheaper flights to Seville (2 and half hours driving time to apartment) and Jerez (1 and half hours driving time to apartment) . Also gives opportunity to explore Seville, Ronda and Andalucian mountains. More advice can be obtained on how to structure such a trip by contacting the owners.

Off season take advantage of low cost, Easyjet, Monarch and Flybe flights into Gibraltar and Malaga as well as Rynair flights into Jerez and Seville.

Holiday in Puerto de la Duquesa

We spent 11 wonderful days in Puerto Duquesa, great weather, and visited a lot. We enjoyed very much the apartment which was well equipped and comfortable, as well as very calm. We had breakfast on the terrace with a marvellous view over the garden and the sea... We really enjoyed it!!

The description was accurate, the appartment very clean.

Puerto de la Duquesa is rather English than Spanish, which is quite surprising for travellers from France who are looking for Spanish food and traditions... We visited Ronda (very interesting) and some typical white villages.

We will come back!!

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay in apt. 335. It is very well equipped, the kitchen has all that we needed and more. Children are not forgotten. Toys for the beach, games. And a perfect wifi connection.

If I could give some recommendations: some of the games are incomplete and could better be removed. A lot of the information about the surroundings is piled up since years and I felt that the terrace furniture could be renewed. For future guests: do not forget the Roman baths. Nearby and very special. And the restaurant at Casares beach, where you can enjoy wonderful food and enjoy beautiful views and the sunset. Forgot its name though.

With regard to your recommendations we are presently staying at the apartment and we shall replace games, toys and literature pack where necessary. So far as the terrace furniture is concerned we have carried out a full inspection and other than dust from the earlier renovation they are in good condition. What a delightful apartment. Absolutely no fault to be found.

Spacious, Well Equipped, Clean and Tidy

I don't think you could want for anything in the apartment.

Gorgeous view of the Sea from the Balcony, very much enjoyed eating Breakfast while taking in the view.

2 Lovely pools and nice gardens also.

Duquesa Port is very nice also, plenty of food and drink options, whilst dreaming about owning one of the boats in the harbour.

spacious & well equipped

Had fabulous holiday in duquesa, the apartment in duquesa suites was spacious, well equipped and very clean. We were less than 10 minutes walk from the port, a bit of a hill walking back to the apartments but very manageable even with strollers. The owner of the apartment, Janice & Eleanor were great to deal with. Will definitely be back.

A great stay!

We've really enjoyed our stay in duquesa suites proprety.

The appartement was clean, fully furnished. From the Terrace we have a nice ocean view. The commun area and the pool are well Maintained.

The owners are a lovely and friendly people. They gave us lot of useful information.

Had a fabulous stay at Duquesa suites. Apartment is lovely, spacious and well equipped. Gorgeous south facing terrace with fabulous views. Owners communication excellent from start to finish. Grounds extremely well looked after with choice of swimming pools and sun bathing areas. Definitely hope to return soon and would highly recommend.

Nearest Airport : Gibraltar (40km) and Malaga at 96 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Court Yard at 300 Metres Nearest Ferry : for Tangier at 40 Kilometres Nearest Golf : Duquesa Golf Club at 1 Kilometres Nearest Train : Fuengirola at 60 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : A7 at Manilva at 6 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Court Yard at 300 Metres Nearest Beach : Port of Duquesa at 1 Kilometres Car: recommended

The apartment's location was selected very carefully, being in a quiet and elevated position with views of the sea, surrounded by Duquesa Golf Course. There are lively bars and restaurants around the Marina about 15 minutes walk away together with all essential shops including a small supermarket, newsagent, internet cafe bank and gift shops. Puerto de la Duquesa is known as the new Golden Mile on the Costa del Sol. It is ideally located midway along the coast between Gibraltar and Marbella/ Puerto Banus each 25 min drive away.

The nearest beach spans both sides of the marina, on one side to the village of Sabinillas (20 minutes walk via the promenade) and on the other to the fishing hamlet of Castillo Duquesa. Sabinillas has a wider variety of shops including 3 larger supermarkets. The resort of Estepona is a 10 minute drive away with many shops and a large hypermarket and a long promenade and sandy beach. Inland you will find Casares and other attractive white towns in the mountains
