About Candace Farley

Having spent 25 years of married life near Cambridge I moved to Anglesey in 2010 after the death of my husband. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful and therapeutic place to live. My home is just 5 Minutes drive from Dewi Sant cottage and I often spend time in the lovely village of Cemaes Bay, enjoying the sandy beaches, friendly shops and historical harbour. I walk the coast path, swim in the sea and enjoy cosy evenings, relaxing by my fire.

Candace Farley purchased this cottage in 2015

Why Candace Farley chose Anglesey

I have always liked guests in my own home to feel relaxed and peaceful, and they do. Dewi Sant is an extension of that. Come here to relax, recuperate from your busy life and enjoy this beautiful Island. Rain or shine it has something to offer. The coast path walks are stunning and the waters are clear and clean.

What makes this cottage unique

Dewi Sant is just a quaint, quirky, comfortable home away from home. With all the delights of the great outdoors and a wealth of Island history to beckon you out each day. Breakfast on the sunny deck, walk the beach/coast path, cream tea in the village tea shop, visit a local place of interest or enjoy a round of golf at the Bull Bay Golf Club, followed by dinner at The Woburn Hill Hotel or a Barbeque in the Dewi Sant garden. I can guarantee your relaxation.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Really welcoming and comfortable cottage. We've enjoyed having everything within walking distance, beautiful beach, woodland and cliff tops.

A gem

  • 5 of 5

A lovely little house. Beautifully presented. Clean and bright and with a lovely deck out the back that gets the morning sun. Perfect for breakfast. Candace is lovely and thoughtful. A super host. And what a fabulous area as well. We came to walk a part of the coast path, having done much of it in other parts of Wales and the sections we looked at during our stay were brilliant with plenty of the Porpoises to keep us company. Llaneilean point is a fantastic place to sit and take it all in. Cemaes itself has a lovely feel with a great beach and everyone was so friendly. Lots of really great places to eat as well, with Mojo's in Rhosneigr being our favourite on this short visit. We can't believe that we've never visited this area before. It has so many things going for it and the A55 takes you straight there without any hassle. We'll be back very soon.

A little gem in Cemaes Bay

  • 5 of 5

Had a brilliant week in this lovely little house and in Anglesey. The sun shone and my tan was better than a colleague who spent the week in Spain! The house is in a lovely position and everything in it was perfect for our stay. We ate in the lovely garden and enjoyed a beer or two after our walks. The coastal walks from Cemaes Bay, blew my mind - just fantastic. Really nothing else to say - just a perfect week. The cakes, milk and tea left for us were just the icing on the cake!!!! Highly recommend.

Sweet & charming

  • 5 of 5

A sweet and charming cottage. Right on the high street two minutes walk from the shops, pubs and bay which has lovely beaches and a harbour. The cottage has all you need and the muffins were a lovely welcome treat. Breakfast on the raised decking in the garden was divine in the morning sun. Hopefully we will be returning soon. Thanks to Candace for the hospitality provided.

Impossible to fault.

  • 5 of 5

Probably the most instantly relaxing short break we've ever had.Location was perfect, right on the quiet high street just up from the harbour and beach. Cottage was spotless and well thought out. Candace, the owner, was caring, friendly and efficient. The perfect landlord. Definitely coming again.
