About this property

Villa sleeping 9 with private pool

It contains four large sized bedrooms, one with a large balcony suitable for private sunbathing and gazing towards the sea on the horizon. It is ideal for two families.

The villa contains a private pool with sun loungers, a large outside BBQ and its own authentic pizza oven. It is equipped with wifi.

However the real draw of the area are the Caribbean-like beaches that are scattered everywhere along this picturesque coast. Perfect for young children the beaches include Chia (voted in the Daily Telegraph May 2008 as one of the world's Best Beaches), Tuerredda, Nora, Santa Marghareta di Pula.

As with many places in Italy the food and wine is also fresh and tasty - but unlike other areas the prices are significantly cheaper. Fresh fruit is available from the road sides throughout the year with peaches and figs particularly popular in the summer months. Local red wine is very good and available to buy by the litre for €1.5

Finally for those with young children there is a water park (www.blufan.it) less than 10mins drive away, while the ancient capital city of Cagliari is a 25min drive.

Stay in Mid October 2019
We stayed in this wonderfully located villa for a week in October to explore the southern half of Sardinia with all its beautiful scenery and beaches. The property was more than anticipated and we can honestly say that the photos really didn’t do it justice, especially the outdoor space which exceeded our expectations. The villa is well equipped and comfortable. A few things need maintenance such as the insect screens and leaking downstairs loo, but these were not detrimental to our enjoyment. Our only disappointment (out of the owner’s control) was that for the duration of our stay we had inconsiderate neighbours in the adjoining property which resulted in us not being able to enjoy the outdoor facilities as much as we would have liked.

Great family holiday for all ages in beautiful southern Sardinia
Firstly, having been to the north of Sardinia before I was a little worried whether the area would be as nice but it really is and in fact I found it more 'authentic': for example it was great to drive into the village in the mornings to collect the wonderful bread and rolls and stop off for coffee and croissant for less than 2 euros! The wine for 2 euros at the local butchers is also a star attraction! So beautiful up in the mountains we explored inland quite a bit and also the coast road drives were simply stunning beyond Chia especially. The house is lovely with lots of different seating areas and well equipped. The pictures don't do it justice. The grounds and pool area are perfect for kids and we had a great bbq one night. One small thing - a microwave would be good - however the kitchen is very well equipped. The views from the property are really beautiful and you can easily walk into the mountains via a little lane close by. The closest beach is Nora (Pula) and it is a really nice beach in my view especially with children as there are pedaloes (not too expensive either) and refreshments available. It was also not too crowded in the latter part of August unlike other places we went to which were packed and it was impossible to really appreciate just how nice they are and there are some lovely beaches. However, for me it is the scenery that is the main attraction in this area. (For the kids it was definitely the Water Park just a few minutes away from the house and absolutely brilliant and good value). Cagliari is a beautiful and really interesting old city with spectacular views from the top of the old town in the evening watching the sun go down. Pula is an attractive little town (the closest) with nice shops and restaurants and eating out, we found, to be quite reasonable which was a bonus. The Tropical Gardens restaurant, nearest to the house, we found to be good in quality and value and enjoyed a couple of nights there. I would definitely recommend this area and this house for family or friend holidays if you like the peace and quiet of being a little out of the way with easy access to lots of places.

Peaceful location, plenty of space
The property is huge with a lovely garden and well maintained pool. There are several seating areas so you can always find one in the shade or in the sun depending on what you want.

Beautiful secluded villa in the mountains
The villa has the most beautiful views across the countryside reaching as far as the sea, whilst not being overlooked. We stayed in this quiet tranquil setting for 10 days to relax. The villa was clean, well equipped with a lovely pool. There were speakers outside which meant we could play our music by the pool. There were lots of games and activities for the kids so they were never bored, and the beach was only a short drive away. The free WIFI was great, we could stream movies and music. The villa is located 5-10 minutes away from the local shops so I would recommend having a car for your stay. I would highly recommend this villa for families, we will definitely go back! Pizza restaurants in Pula are great for dinner and so cheap, make sure you try the local wine!

Why they chose this property

This villa is the perfect place to get away from a hectic lifestyle, an ideal spot for either one or two families holidaying together. I can honestly say that the beaches are some of the best I have even seen (and we've travelled widely).

What is there not to love about Italian food - great fresh fish, about 20 varieties of tomatoes in the local shops, more than 50 types of fresh ice cream in the local gelatarias, and fresh thin pizzas that cost €6-€10 in local restaurants. If you love your pizza then using the pizza oven in the villa is great fun - from building the fire until the finished product.

Local red wine is in abundance, with Cannonau the red grape of Grenache fame and Vermentino producing a white wine which is perfect chilled on a warm evening.

What makes this property unique

The location of the villa was the thing we fell in love with - we can see the sea from one balcony and mountains from the other windows. The entire property is secluded which makes for peaceful and relaxing holidays in fresh air. Pick fruit from the trees in the garden, walk through the hills or do nothing a sit by the pool all day
