Stunning Penthouse Appt With Communal Pool And Private Roof Terrace.

A Unique Appt in an Award Winning Converted Yorkshire Mill With Communal Spa.

This Unique and luxurious Penthouse Apartment is full of character and charm and is at the top of the original Mill Tower with round windows giving views over the magnificent countryside. It has a communal Swimming Pool, Gym and Steam Room... (really luxurious and quiet) and you'll love the private, south facing roof terrace or sit by the south facing lake enjoying a glass of wine, feed the ducks or have a picnic on a bench.

From the hall, go up a flight of stairs up to the dining room in the original tower with it's 3 round windows, offer 3 different aspects of the beautiful countryside. This room has an oval table to seat 6 people and a famous Corbusier Chaise! Go through the double, hand crafted arched doors to the large lounge where you'll find a comfy 3 seater sofa, an Egg Chair and stool, an Eileen Grey side table, two arm chairs and a smart tv with integral internet. There's also a storage box with lots of good old fashioned board games!

The fitted kitchen with granite worktops has a breakfast bar, two bar stools; an integral dishwasher, microwave, hob, oven, fridge and freezer.

There are double French doors from the lounge, opening up to the south facing, very private roof terrace.

From the dining room in the Tower, go up another set of stairs and you're in the roof space of the original tower, with it's window overlooking the private Lake and it's very small but quirky single bedroom/study (not suitable for small children or the less mobile).

A door leading from the entrance hall, takes you to Bedroom Suit 1 which has a King Bed (this can be separated into twin beds) a good sized dressing area with lots of fitted wardrobes, exposed beams and 2 Velux windows. There is an en-suit bathroom with a shower above the bath with a folding shower screen.

Bedroom 2 has a comfy double bed where you can enjoy your first coffee of the day looking out of the large sash window onto the stunning countryside. There's also lots of wardrobe space in here too. A shower room is next to Bedroom 2 with a double width shower cubicle, toilet and sink.

There is a generous car park and the Penthouse can be accessed either by the small lift or stairs. You can walk around or private Lake, feed the ducks, have a picnic or sit on one of the benches watching the wonderful wildlife.

There are a number of excellent, award winning pubs and restaurants within a couple of miles (The Fleece has just won 'Yorkshire's Best Pub' Award, serving excellent food, wine and local beer.)

Outstanding Walking, running and cycling routes (we're on the route of The Tour De France) are in abundance... just walk outside the mill and turn in any direction and you'll be amazed at the beauty of the place.

Kevin and I love living in Barkisland Mill. The idyllic locations means we can do lots of walking in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, while still being close to a wide range of amenities such as cinemas, theatres and numerous cities like York, Manchester and Leeds. We love the nearby bohemian towns of Hebden Bridge and Saltaire and well as the abundance of excellent local pubs and restaurants.

Our other most-loved destination is Italy! Kevin says that if he wasn't a Yorkshire man, he'd love to be Italian... I'd like that too!

We also love hosting, sharing tips on how to get the most out of your stay and if you want us to be we will be on hand for any advice you need

An absolutely stunning property, in an idyllic part of the country. With fantastic views and walks right on your doorstep. A very warm welcome awaited us on arrival from the owners, showing us around the property and were on hand to any need. The accommodation is right up to date, with modern feature whilst retaining all the character of the Mill, great for a family of a couples retreat. A lift is also on hand for the tired legs if needed. The pool, gym and steam room were just a fantastic bonus, to exercise or relax in the peaceful settings. High quality is in abundance at the property. Check out the local village pub, The Fleece, fantastic. I can highly recommend this property. Bragg family,

Wow where do I start! This Penthouse is FANTASTIC - everything you could ever need from a holiday property and more - from the minute you arrive you are made welcome and your lovely host Tina was on hand to show us round and was very helpful with regards to local amenities etc. The pool is superb and in the 4 days we were there we had exclusive use of it which was a bonus. I for one cannot wait to return and will be advising friends and family to book - if you are after a relaxing break in a gorgeous setting then look no further - BOOK NOW and treat yourself - you won't regret it.

We fell in love with Barkisland Mill the first time we saw it The location is amazing, the apartment is so unique set on different levels in the original Mill Tower and is so full of character. The Pool the gym and Steam Room are the icing on what is a beautiful cake. The friendly neighbours make it a delight to live here.... it feels like we're on holiday all the time! So that's why we'd love to share this wonderful place with you! We will meet you on arrival, show you round and leave you to enjoy the luxury of this amazing place. We can also show you some places to visit if you want us to. (We live in the same building and are on hand if you want to know anything, while at the same time, respecting your privacy).

As well as beautiful countryside on your doorstep, the Yorkshire Dales and Moors are a short drive away. HEBDEN BRIDGE the beautiful bohemian town full of local shops and cafes.

Also there's Howarth (Bronty country) and Holmfirth (Last of the Summer Wine).

RIPPONDEN with its many bars and restaurants is less than 2 miles away!

The historical city of YORK is less then an hour away, as well as Manchester, Huddersfield and Leeds.

Fishing in our own Lake or GOLF is just a couple of minutes away.

CYCLING is great... we're on the route of Tour De France.

Excellent pubs, take aways and restaurants are within minutes.

Watersports such as windsurfing, canoeing etc are available just 45 minutes away.

The quirkiness and uniqueness of the apartment and it's views of the countryside made us fall in love with it! Although the pool, gym, jet stream and steam room are communal, it always feels like we have our own private Spa! The exposed brickwork and beams, the granite worktops in the kitchen, the fitted appliances, the private roof terrace, the large sash window, the round windows and the numerous vellux windows all give the apartment a luxurious and light feeling. There are numerous carpeted staircases and the 3rd single, very small room has it's own staircase away from the other bedrooms (teenagers seem to love this room!), with a high ceiling in the original tower of the mill. This is not suitable for small children or people with limited mobility.
