About the property

2 bedroom cottage in the heart of Suffolk.

There are two homely double bedrooms, one of which is a traditional Suffolk landing bedroom with heavy drapes for complete privacy. The other is a fair sized double bedroom with built in wardrobes and a dressing table.

The cottage has a modern kitchen and dining area with a table and chairs for four people to dine comfortably. The bathroom, which is downstairs, has a modern fitted suite with shower over the bath.

The cosy lounge is fully carpeted and equipped with flat screen TV, DVD player and CD player. There is a selection of books, CD's and DVD's.

The cottage has full central heating and an electric' wood-burner type' stove in the lounge for instant heat on a chilly evening. There is a table and chairs in the courtyard garden for alfresco dining, weather permitting.

Please note: Cherub Cottage occupies an elevated position and is accessed by four steps leading up from the pavement. Also there is only on street parking.

Flexible changeover days throughout the year.

It was our second stay in the cottage. We were made to feel very welcome and had all we needed for a comfortable, winter break.

Lovely little cottage

  • 5 of 5

Really lovely and clean cottage in nice village.

Road can be busy but parking was never a problem.

Milk and other items greeted us on arrival.

This cottage was really nicely furnished and everything you needed was provided.

Plenty of places to eat and drink not too far away.

Highly recommend.

Clean, homely, welcoming, well equipped

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our Stay at Cherub Cottage, in an ideal location for us as we were near to people we aimed to visit, the property is lovely and homely, with all amenities you could need. The owner was fantastic, very welcoming and easy to contact about anything with fresh and locally sourced milk, bread, butter, juice and cake left for our arrival which was greatly appreciated afternoon our long journey. After our visit the owner found some jewelry items that had been left behind and quickly contacted us offering to send them in the post, which he did. We were more than impressed by both the property and the owner and are currently looking at future dates to book for a return stay

Very cosy well presented cottage.

The cottage was very clean and the little extras like eggs milk cake and apple juice was a nice touch. Their is plenty of room and the courtyard garden catches the sun. There are plenty of lovely walks from the doorstep. Overall a well equipped cottage.

East Anglia has something to offer for everyone from glorious countryside, beautiful villages, and historic towns to sandy beaches and wildlife reserves. Cherub Cottage is ideally situated in Mid-Suffolk, a perfect place from which to explore the area.

For walkers there are countless miles of footpaths all across Suffolk including some long distance paths. And for cyclists there are many cycle routes, some on minor roads and some completely off road.

Cherub Cottage is just a couple of miles from the A1120 Tourist Route which takes you to the Owl Sanctuary and Teapot Pottery at Stonham Barns where there are also individual retail outlets and a golf course. From there the road goes on to Saxstead Windmill, Framlingham Castle, Easton Farm Park (great for children) and Shawsgate Vineyard.

There are so many interesting places to visit within easy reach on Coddenham.

NEEDHAM MARKET with its lakes, picnic area, River Gipping walks and antiques centre is only 4 miles.

IPSWICH for retail therapy and Christchurch Mansion set in Christchurch Park, 10miles.

WOODBRIDGE and the RIVER DEBEN just 10 miles away.

BURY ST EDMUNDS with its medieval architecture, Georgian squares, Cathedral and beautiful Abbey gardens, 22miles.

The unspoilt seaside towns of ALDEBURGH and SOUTHWOLD, ORFORD & the Ore estuary and RSPB Minsmere, all in areas of outstanding natural beauty, are 20 – 30 miles distance.

CLARE, CAVENDISH and LONG MELFORD where there are two stately homes are well worth visiting.

As is the oldest recorded town of COLCHESTER and the Historic City of NORWICH which has not one but two cathedrals and a castle!

The location of Cherub Cottage makes it easy to plan half or whole day trips to visit many wonderful places.
