Making Waves apartment is on the ground floor, with its own private entrance. Spacious interior featuring double bedroom, bunk room, living room with sofa bed and stunning sea views. Well-equipped kitchen. A private, secluded,sunny garden to the rear has decking and lawn. Central heating for the colder months. Many original features and mod-cons.

Carrack Dhu maisonette is on the first and second floors, with its own private entrance and terrace garden. Spacious and homely, with amazing sea views from the front room bay window and double bedroom. A perfect base for your holiday for those who want the best St.Ives can offer.

About Simon Money

I was born in London and worked as a product designer, model maker and teacher before moving to St.Ives in 1996. I ran a Veggy guest house for 15 years before marrying Sarah and having 2 young daughters. We have now taken over the guest house for our own home and bought the apartments just a minute up the road from us. I have been working on renovating and updating them ever since and hope you will enjoy the results!

Why Simon Money chose Saint Ives

St.Ives really is the best base for your visit to West Cornwall. You can easily lose a week in the idyllic bubble that envelops you in the town - everything is a stroll away and getting lost in the maze of tiny back lanes is part of the experience!

Our apartments are situated perfectly for your holiday - close enough to the harbour and beaches to be able to stroll there and back in a few minutes, but far enough away from the hustle, bustle and noise of it's nightlife to feel totally at peace! Carrack Dhu road is a leafy south facing Victorian terrace and its position just above the harbour area affords it stunning sea views over St.Ives bay and over to Godrevy lighthouse.

Each apartment also has its own secluded, sunny garden with decking and table/chairs, also a barbecue.

The interiors are very spacious, especially compared to the tiny 'fisherman's cottages' around the harbour front and Downalong. We have tried hard to create a homely feeling, with many original features such as fireplaces adding to the atmosphere.

You are staying in a home from home, owned, maintained and cleaned by a local family. We will meet you personally on arrival, get you settled in and answer any questions you may have. We live a minutes walk away and are always on call if you need any assistance or advice during your holiday. No agencies, faceless owners, complicated key pick-ups. And no hidden charges! We are quite new to Owners Direct, but have been successfully running our business for many years.

St.Ives provides plenty of places and activities to keep you busy for a week - and all within walking distance from our apartments. Go seal-watching in a fishing boat, laze on any of 5 clean, sandy beaches, browse art galleries, admire the views from a beach cafe - or enjoy a meal in award-winning restaurants. Follow the coast path west into wind-swept wildness, or an easier stroll east through lush wooded areas.

Further afield, explore ancient stone circles, cycle/walking routes through preserved -and ruined-

tin mines, visit St.Michaels Mount across the tidal causeway, Eden Project, Falmouth Maritime Museum, or take a boat or plane across to the Scilly Isles for a day trip. We have lived here 20 years and have still only scratched the surface of what this beautiful part of the world has to offer!

Lovely apartment in a fantastic location

The property was very clean and well equipped and although I hadn't realised at the time of booking that this property was also let to owners with pets (although a pet owner I don't usually take my dog with me when I go away and wouldn't normally choose to stay in a property that permits pets) I needn't have worried as there was no indication that there had ever been a dog in the property. The property was a good size and comfortably furnished and I would have happily stayed there for much longer as it had a "home from home" feel about it with the added bonus of a beautiful sea view. It was within easy walking distance of the beach, harbour and town and all in all a perfect location. The owner of the property (Simon) met us upon arrival and after showing us around left us to it but advised he only lived a short distance away and if we needed anything to call. All in all a very positive experience and I have no reservations about recommending this property to others and I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Hello Simon,

Thank you so much for all your advice during our stay in St.Ives. It was such a pleasant time. Your place is cosy, lovely and has got everything for the 4 of us. When I write 'everything', I really mean it -- 1 bedroom, 1 bunkbed for 2, 1 sofa bed, kitchen, utensils, and our own lovely little private garden. We really enjoy our stay at your place and it is highly recommended.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt!

Die Wohnung ist sehr gut und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht: Waschmaschine, Spülmaschine, Wäscheständer, Boards, Handtücher für den Strand etc. Es war alles sehr sauber. Die Lage ist super. In wenigen Minuten ist man zu Fuß am Strand und am Hafen. Sehr schöne Aussicht aufs Meer. Achtung: mit dem Auto ist es sehr eng in St. Ives, aber das hat natürlich nichts mit der Wohnung zu tun!

Sehr schön eingerichtete und zentral gelegene Wohnung mit umfassender Ausstattung

Die Wohnung ist neu renoviert und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Küche ist hervorragend ausgestattet, eine Waschmaschine ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Das Bad ist groß mit viel Ablagefläche und guter Beleuchtung; außerdem gibt es ein Gäste-WC. Die Lage in St. Ives war für uns genau richtig, zentral im bewohnten Ortskern, etwas höher gelegen mit Sicht auf den Atlantik. In 5 Minuten ist man zu Fuß am Hafen, die Wohnung selbst ist in ruhiger Gegend. Da das Gebäude etwas hellhörig ist, bekommt man die Geräusche der Urlauber der darübergelegenen Etage mit; die einzige Einschränkung.
