Renovated Stone House With Amazing Views

Situated at the end of a country lane, surrounded entirely by open countryside is our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom holiday cottage, approximately 50 metres away from the owners home, inbetween the 2 properties is a new 12 x 5 salt water swimming pool. The cottage offers a private walled terrace perfect for outdoor dining or just relaxing taking in the stunning views. There is a fully fitted kitchen leading to an open plan lounge dining area with wood burning stove, upstairs there are 2 double bedrooms both ensuite one with a large enclosed shower, the other with a shower bath, this bedroom also has the option to include a single bed. From the landing you can access the first floor balcony and enjoy morning coffee taking in the views. Belle Vue is situated in an elevated position with fantastic views of the beautiful countryside. Moncrabeau is the nearest village just a few km's away which has a swimming pool, tennis courts, café/bar selling a range of organic fruit & veg along with artisan breads and locally made cheeses, many fetes are held in the village but should you want to venture further we are perfectly placed between the lively towns of Condom and Nerac, both have great restaurants bustling markets and navigational rivers not to mention stunning Chateaux offering Armagnac and wine tasting tours.

When renovating and furnishing the cottage it was our goal to create somewhere that we would like to stay ourselves on holiday. After 2 successful seasons we think we have achieved that, please take the time to read our reviews from our past guests some of whom are booked on their 4th visit to us!

Why Leigh Atherton chose Moncrabeau

As soon as we saw the properties location we fell in love! The houses needed complete renovation but the situation is to die for with panoramic views and surrounded on all sides by open countryside with no immediate neighbours.

We are situated at the end of a country lane so no passing traffic or road noise and close to our favourite towns of Condom and Nerac.

Well we have just returned from a 3 week stay at Belle Vue in Moncrabeau and we have had a fabulous holiday, just pure BLISS!

The weather was just brilliant from 37 degrees on most days and some spectacular evening electric storms. The lovely salt water pool was extensively used throughout the day and evening, as a cool off as well as fun and games with the kids. We have visited France for over 6 years and stayed in many many lovely places, this pool was by far the best, the salt water is much kinder to your skin than others.

This property was perfect for our family of 4, kids had their own bathroom with bath and a shower which makes life so much easier with 2 teenagers.The little things such as high quality bed linens and towels make it just that bit more special.

A very private area at the back of the cottage where you have spectacular views over the ever changing countryside is just wonderful, we spend most evenings enjoying sunsets with a glass of wine.

Loved experiencing the local French village lifestyle, lots of local culture to find just on the doorstep. Condom, Nerac, Larressingle, Lectoure (not on market day!!), kayaking at Beaucais, Armagnac tasting at the chateaux

The house has everything that you need we lived very comfortably for the 3 weeks, think the farmer thought we had moved in!

Leigh and Tracy have done a fantastic job in restoring the cottage to such a high standard and we would highly recommend it as a holiday cottage. We wish you and the family all the best for the future.

Winter stay in fantastic Gite

Had an amazing Christmas break at Belle Vue. The views are spectacular and do not disappoint. The gite has been renovated to a very high standard and is so lovely. As our was a winter stay the log burner stove made it very cosy and warm. On arrival Leigh and Tracy had made the gite look so welcoming with the fire lit and the lights on. Just what we needed after our long drive. Would definitely recommend this staying here and we enjoyed our stay so much we will come back again. Merci bien.

Book This Property. You'll Love It And The Setting

Tracy and Leigh - Thank-you for making our stay so relaxing, fun and hospitable. The preceding reviews are accurate....this is a wonderful holiday home perched on the crest of a hill with views that stretch lazily over well tended fields of melon and corn. It's a quiet, peaceful and scenic part of France only a few miles away from the charming town of Condom. The summer climate is wonderful and there's much to occupy you locally. We enjoyed walking thorough the countryside (buying a local map is a good investment) and visiting some lovely historic villages nearby. We'll remember with particular fondness how warm and welcoming Tracy and Leigh were and how well their home is presented. The welcome pack, the beach towels, the BBQ were all lovely touches. We've stay in holidays homes each year and this was probably the cleanest I can recall. And yes, the pool water is the clearest you'll see this side of Macclesfield. If you're after a relaxing and very contended break in a quiet part of rural France then book Belle Vue. If I could give six stars I would. There you go.

A pretty little house with wonderful views. Two en suite rooms are perfect for couples or families.

Tracey and Leigh made us very welcome and ensured we were warm and comfortable. Fresh eggs were appreciated too. Conveniently located with an easy drive to Condom for shopping and restaurants. A lovely area for walking with the hamlet of Lialores nearby a real attraction with its 12th century church and pretty houses and gardens.

Warm, comforting, welcoming. Beautiful views!

A beautifully put together holiday home with amazing views and one of the best log burners I've ever used. Tracey and Leigh are fantasticly friendly hosts, giving us the warm welcome we wanted and the privacy we needed.

We stayed at the end of February and made full use of the log burner after winter walks to the river. Hopefully we'll be back in the summertime to enjoy the pool.

Cosy cottage with well equipped kitchen and bathrooms

Tracey and Leigh, were great hosts and ensured that we were happy with our holiday choice. During our stay they looked after our needs and were always happy to help with any any local information and despite being the end of October we had a swim in the outdoor unheated pool.............quite an experience and something that we really hadn't considered at this time of year!!

The views and quiet countryside location are unbeatable and so if you are looking for a great secluded get away in the countryside...........this is the one...........a car is essential.

Condom is the closest town to us being an easy 12 min drive. There you can find 3 large supermarkets and a choice of restaurants bars and cafes. Wednesday and Saturday market.

Nerac is just 15 min drive, a beautiful town with river and parks good restaurants and the best market around on a Saturday morning also during summer weekly night markets
