About the property

Renovated Stone House With Amazing Views

Situated at the end of a country lane, surrounded entirely by open countryside is our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom holiday cottage, approximately 50 metres away from the owners home, inbetween the 2 properties is a new 12 x 5 salt water swimming pool. The cottage offers a private walled terrace perfect for outdoor dining or just relaxing taking in the stunning views. There is a fully fitted kitchen leading to an open plan lounge dining area with wood burning stove, upstairs there are 2 double bedrooms both ensuite one with a large enclosed shower, the other with a shower bath, this bedroom also has the option to include a single bed. From the landing you can access the first floor balcony and enjoy morning coffee taking in the views. Belle Vue is situated in an elevated position with fantastic views of the beautiful countryside. Moncrabeau is the nearest village just a few km's away which has a swimming pool, tennis courts, café/bar selling a range of organic fruit & veg along with artisan breads and locally made cheeses, many fetes are held in the village but should you want to venture further we are perfectly placed between the lively towns of Condom and Nerac, both have great restaurants bustling markets and navigational rivers not to mention stunning Chateaux offering Armagnac and wine tasting tours.

When renovating and furnishing the cottage it was our goal to create somewhere that we would like to stay ourselves on holiday. After 2 successful seasons we think we have achieved that, please take the time to read our reviews from our past guests some of whom are booked on their 4th visit to us!

About Tracy Atherton

Originally from the north west , near Manchester, we moved to France in 2004 after several wonderful holidays in this region.

I own a small shop in Condom town centre called "Churchill's" selling british products.

Please feel free to call me at the shop during shop hours: Tuesday to saturday from 10am to 12:30pm

Tracy Atherton purchased this house in 2012

Why Tracy Atherton chose Lot-et-Garonne

As soon as we saw the properties location we fell in love! The houses needed complete renovation but the situation is to die for with panoramic views and surrounded on all sides by open countryside with no immediate neighbours.

We are situated at the end of a country lane so no passing traffic or road noise and close to our favourite towns of Condom and Nerac.

Beautiful Property with Panoramic Countryside Views
average rating of 5.0 based on 19 reviews

A pretty little house with wonderful views. Two en suite rooms are perfect for couples or families.

  • 5 of 5

Tracey and Leigh made us very welcome and ensured we were warm and comfortable. Fresh eggs were appreciated too. Conveniently located with an easy drive to Condom for shopping and restaurants. A lovely area for walking with the hamlet of Lialores nearby a real attraction with its 12th century church and pretty houses and gardens.

Warm, comforting, welcoming. Beautiful views!

  • 5 of 5

A beautifully put together holiday home with amazing views and one of the best log burners I've ever used. Tracey and Leigh are fantasticly friendly hosts, giving us the warm welcome we wanted and the privacy we needed.

We stayed at the end of February and made full use of the log burner after winter walks to the river. Hopefully we'll be back in the summertime to enjoy the pool.

Cosy cottage with well equipped kitchen and bathrooms

  • 5 of 5

Tracey and Leigh, were great hosts and ensured that we were happy with our holiday choice. During our stay they looked after our needs and were always happy to help with any any local information and despite being the end of October we had a swim in the outdoor unheated pool.............quite an experience and something that we really hadn't considered at this time of year!!

The views and quiet countryside location are unbeatable and so if you are looking for a great secluded get away in the countryside...........this is the one...........a car is essential.

Beautiful Gite with the most amazing Views

  • 5 of 5

First sight of the Gite was 'wow' as we drove up the lane - the views are to die for, the gite looked even better than the internet pictures. Tracy and Leigh and Bertie made us feel so welcome. We met the boys later.

But the gite is absolutely stunning - it has so much attention to detail and was 'home form home'. Everything was just brilliant - the welcome hamper was a lovely extra. Over the years we have stayed in many different gites, but this one beats the other hands down.

Spotlessly clean and gorgeous linens.

The pool is another added bonus and was spotlessly maintained daily. But even if there were no pool we would still want to return.

It is so peaceful and quiet - it was lovely to sit outside reading and looking at the views, the chickens visited every day ( just in case there were bits that needed finishing!), Missy is such a character and is obviously 'in charge', could almost have a conversation with her!

We cannot say enough about this lovely gite and without doubt we will return. Leigh has done a wonderful job of rebuilding the gite to say nothing of their own home which is amazing. Tracy and he have paid so much attention to detail, we loved it!

They also gave us lots of tips for places to visit, they were on hand if we needed anything.

This was an area we had not visited before and found it has a fascinating history, do visit the Bastide Villages - one of the best is Fources with a lovely restaurant called simply Auberge De Fources! In fact we ate there twice - we enjoyed it so much, delightful!

Another village is La Romieu - there is a story to the village associated with cats and there are stone cat statues everywhere. Again a really good restaurant there in the square.

The weather was kind to us - until we had the most spectacular storm! It was something to see it sweeping in across the countryside, after that the weather did turn a bit cooler but was in fact, welcome after 34 degrees one day!!

It seems as if there are fields and fields of sunflowers in the area - of course they were over, but I have always wanted to see them in full bloom, so hoping to return early enough to see them next time

Anyway we want to return to this beautiful gite and look forward to seeing Tracy and Leigh and family again in the not too distant future.

Plus still so much history of the area to investigate and explore.

A great property with great owners

  • 5 of 5

We loved the house in Moncrabeau. Very tranquil setting with excellent facilities. The pool is of a good standard too. Leigh and Tracy were great hosts and a glass of Rose at the end of the day with them was a real highlight. Leigh was very helpful as I had some car issues and even accompanied me to see the mechanic. Overall I can highly recommend the property for a great break getting away from it all.

The most perfect holiday!

  • 5 of 5

It was love at first sight discovering this gite on the internet. The place looks even better out there. We spent the best week thanks to Tracy. Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Leigh and the children, but Tracy was a perfect host and welcomed us warmly.

The house was super tidy, very cosy, well equiped, and we spent some amazing quality time all together. No close neighbours so it’s the most calm and peaceful place. Lots of space for the kids to play and a big pool to relax.

There are some lovely villages only a couple of kilometers away with markets, supermarkets and restaurants.

We already miss the place terribly and we’re looking forward to return as soon as possible!

Thanks Tracy!

Greetings from Delphine, Luis, Florian, Tobias and Jack :)
