Overview

About the property

Romantic home for 2/3 in converted shepherds' huts with pretty garden nr Padstow

Ideally situated for exploring Cornwall, The Trailers is a delightful quirky dwelling, part shepherds' hut, part modern property, situated in the quiet rural village of St Issey. It is only 4 miles from the unspoilt fishing harbour of Padstow with its famous Seafood restaurants, boat trips and the scenic Camel Trail cycle way. The beautiful sandy beaches of the stunning North Cornish Coast are also only 4 miles away and offer many exciting beach and surfing activities.

Experience the romanticism captured in the two shepherd hut bedrooms, but with all the modern comfort needed for a relaxing holiday, this special detached home will delight lovebirds looking for a unique break from the norm.

The Trailers is accessed by steps leading up from the private parking space to this lovingly restored property.

Both of the romantic bedrooms are original shepherds' huts with double beds and have been sympathetically restored to make the most of their unusual features. Three steps lead down from the bedrooms to the rest of the property.

The sunny sitting room has comfy chairs and a cosy log burning stove. There are plenty of magazines and books in the bookcase, along with local maps, walking books and holiday suggestions. There is a Freeview TV and DVD player with selection of films and if you are unlucky enough to have to bring your work with you, there is Wi Fi broadband.

The conservatory is the perfect place to relax, overlooking the private patio garden, with French doors leading to the sheltered sunny terrace where you can enjoy Al Fresco dining among the pretty flowering pots, perfect for relaxing afternoons on the sunbeds or evening BBQ's around the fire pit.

The open plan kitchen overlooks the pretty garden, and is well equipped with new dishwasher, electric oven, hob and fridge/freezer.

The bathroom has bath with shower, heated towel rail and washer/dryer machine.

Whether your holiday is with family or friends, for beach holidays or an out of season walking break, The Trailers will make the perfect holiday retreat.

Changeover day is Friday.

Loved it so much we've already booked to come back! Highly recommend this beautiful place.

From the moment we arrived we fell in love with TheTrailers. Spotlessly clean, thoughtfully presented and lovingly decorated. From soft fluffy towels to the super comfy beds everything has been considered for the guest's comfort. And the garden was my little piece of heaven. Peaceful and beautiful with an abundance of roses, plants and mature shrubs, it was heaven just sitting in the peace and quiet enjoying an early morning cup of tea. It was excellent for our two small dogs as the garden is totally secure and not overlooked. The Trailers contains everything you need - it's a home from home and we are booked in for our next stay already. What a gem!

A lovely and unique property

  • 5 of 5

Loved the property, and the owner could not have been more helpful.

Clean and tidy accommodation, beds that you sink into for a wonderful night's sleep. Pretty cottage garden with outdoor table and seating.

Unfortunately, the weather was against us, which didn't help, as our dog couldn't have the exercise he was used to. Apart from that, we couldn't fault the property. Well worth considering as a holiday base from which to explore Cornwall's delights.

Did not want to leave, felt like home as soon as we walked in. Quirky, homely and very comfortable.

What a fantastic place, great location too, out of the way of the busy tourist destinations but still in easy reach of so many beautiful places, Boscastle, Port Issac, Perranporth all worth a visit. A couple of pubs within a 5min walk serving good beer and food, though The Pickwick you can't take dogs or prams inside. The property is perfectly proportioned, im sure could get 4 adults in there with all the little seating areas there are. Will definitely book again when visiting this partof the country. A wonderful holiday, thank you x

Perfect in every way possible . Clean , comfortable , well equipped and secure for your dog or dogs

  • 5 of 5

Myself wife and 15 yr old son decided on beautiful Cornwall instead of abroad this year so that we could take our Labrador Albie with us. We booked The Trailers because we wanted to stay close to Padstow, we booked for one week from 19th August 2016.

We were very impressed with this cute , clean , comfortable little place . When I say little it was very spacious for us 4 . The garden is very private and safe and secure for your dog / dogs ( it's also a sun trap if you are lucky like we were ) .

We contacted the owner Jane because the shower was running boiling hot or freezing cold , she was around in a flash and organised a new shower to be fitted straight away . The Trailers is very well equipped with everything you require. The beds are extremely comfortable and very clean . It's situated in a lovely country lane surrounded by farmland but not to far away from everything else you would like to do on your holiday. We walked to the local pub ( about 15 mins walk ) and enjoyed a beautiful meal . We also brought fresh eggs from up the lane for breakfast . We will definitely book again without a doubt . If you get the opportunity to stay at The Trailers you will not be disappointed with your choice . We have already recommended it to our family and friends.
