The Dairy was refurbished in 2015 and is set in a beautiful rural location within grounds of 10 acres. Enjoy relaxing on the attractive outdoor patio while looking across the fields or take a stroll through the grounds stopping off at the lake. Or you can sit in the beautifully furnished and comfortable open plan living room where on cooler night you can light a roaring log fire in the feature inglenook. Being close to the A30 you will have easy access to visit anywhere in Cornwall on both the north and south coasts.

The Dairy is all on one level with the exception of one step down into the main bedroom.

A relaxing few days in beautiful surroundings.

We stayed at the Dairy at the beginning of October for 3 nights and didn't want to leave. The accommodation was perfect, spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated.The owners had kindly left us a cream tea which was very much appreciated by our son and daughter after our journey from Somerset. Our children loved having the wonderful grounds to explore and we all enjoyed cosy evenings in, in front of the log burner playing some of the board games we found in the dresser. Thank you so much Anne and Stephen for a wonderful stay and making us feel so welcome.

Home from home

Beautiful property in beautiful surroundings and well situated for many tourist attractions in Cornwall. The Dairy was spotless, very well equipped and very tastefully and sympathetically decorated. Anne and Stephen were on hand to help if there were any problems or to give us handy tips to help us enjoy our visit more, but they were not intrusive at all. We were greeted with a lovely fresh scones, jam and clotted cream and we could help ourselves to any amount of logs for a cosy log fire if we wished. We were made to feel most welcome and we would highly recommend this property, ideal for two couples or a family of four as both bedrooms had en suite bathrooms. Simply stunning.

First class

Beautiful property and great communications before, during and after our stay.

Tranquil location, but close enough to anywhere you want to go as the A30 is close by. The cottage was pristine when we arrived and as described, as an added bonus the owners had left us some lovely scones, jam and of course clotted cream. The grounds are superb and very well maintained.

Anne met us shortly after our arrival and was lovely, couldn't have been more helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending and would go again in a heartbeat.

Superb accommodation in an idyllic setting, perfect family holiday

Could not fault the accommodation and the friendliness of the owners, starting with a much welcome cream tea on arrival. The property is very tastefully furnished with all needs met. The setting is simply beautiful, we ate on the terrace some mornings and the children loved playing cricket on the large garden in the evening. Access to the 10 acres on site with a beautiful walk with a few surprises along the way was a bonus! The location just off the A30 means easy access to all parts, we travelled to Padstow (highly recommend Rojano's on the square), Wadebridge, Watergate Bay, Crantock, Holywell Bay and Newquay. Some great pubs and restaurants nearby (try the Plume of Feathers at Mitchell!). We would not hesitate to recommend this property and hope to return.

Excellent Quality and location.

This was one of the best self catering lets we have stayed at and we would not hesitate in recommending it for a relaxing and private break. The converted dairy has been tastefully decorated to a high standard and has just about everything you need for either a short or long break. The private grounds afford a lovely walk and just serve to complete a lovely stay. Our hosts were very welcoming and it was reassuring to know they were 'on hand' should anything have been a miss! 10/10 - a top visit!

Simply wonderful...

Where do we start.. the barn is beautiful, set in idyllic land with a lake, fields and much more to explore. Perfect after a day at the beach to relax and plenty of space for little ones! The barn itself has so much character but with modern luxuries which makes the stay feel homely but practical. The location is perfect, set just off the A30. The owners Anne and Stephan are extremely welcoming, we had logs for the wood burner readily available and scones and milk on arrival (which was heaven after a 7 hour car journey) I cannot recommend the barn enough.. already talking about booking again for next spring.

Goenrounsen House is a beautiful property with exceptional grounds which were once part of the National Garden Scheme. Since moving in we have worked hard to restore them and we hope our visitors enjoy them.
