Stoneleigh Cottage is situated at the edge of the very popular village of Muker which offers you both the handiness of all the village amenities such as the famous Swaledale Woolens, Tea shop, The gallery and the Farmers Arms which is an ideal place to take in a bar meal and a pint in the evening, as well as the beauty of putting on your walking boots and taking in the stunning scenery on one of the many walks through the hay meadows to the fells from just outside your door.

With Hawes known as the home of Wensleydale cheese with its own visitors center, as well as shops, cafes and Pubs only 9 miles away via a journey over the Buttertubs pass with stunning views of both Swaledale and Wensleydale, and with Reeth, Ricmond, Leyburn, Barnard Castle as well as the Lake District all within easy reach means this cottage is perfectly situated.

The fully centrally heated cottage offers a sitting room with a woodburner effect electric stove, TV and DVD and two comfy settees.

A fully fitted Kitchen with built in cooker/ hob and washer as well as a Microwave and under counter fridge and freezer which leads out to a lovely south facing walled Patio with Patio furniture.

Upstairs comprises of two double bedrooms one of which has the option of being turned into two singles ( with prior notice), and a shower room with electric shower, toilet and hand basin.

To the rear of the cottage is private off street parking and a secure garage for bike storage.

Sorry, No pets and no smoking allowed in the cottage.

About The Owner

I was born in Stoneleigh in Muker and have lived here all my life. My late brother and myself developed the cottage back in the 1980's. We bought the barn adjoining the main house and together with part of the main house turned it into Stoneleigh Cottage . We were brought up with our parents always developing our home. My husband Dave a local builder and myself got married in 1999 and lived in another property we developed next door but we sold that to buy the local pub which we ran till 2010. On selling that we moved back home to Stoneleigh and have recently redeveloped the main house and most of Stoneleigh Cottage. We both love Swaledale for such amazing scenery and for its walks.
