Recently refurbished throughout, walking distance from pretty market town centre and train station, and a lovely family home.
The house is in a leafy, peaceful road and has a big garden which is not overlooked. It's a 5-8 min walk into Sevenoaks market town centre (weekend market, boutique theatre, cinema, shops, cafes, restaurants and Summer events). Knole Park, a really lovely deer park with National Trust House and lots of space to walk and cycle, is a 10 min walk away. Hollybush play area for younger children is a 4 or 5 min walk. Boutique shops and a great little café are just round the corner.
Countless attractions across the South East are easy to reach by car or by train, including beaches, castles, gardens, theme parks, zoos, safari parks, Legoland, golf, sailing, horseriding, country walks, shows, live music and lots more. Sevenoaks has a good tourist info centre for local events.
Sevenoaks mainline station is 11 mins away on foot, with direct trains to London City Centre (26 min journey). The Aquarium, London Dungeons, London Eye, Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, The Shard and The South Bank are all quick and easy to get to.
Sevenoaks has been proclaimed the ‘happiest place in Britain’ (We would agree!)
The is our family home, hence we rent it out during school holidays only. It's perfect for a large family, or for two small families / grandparents / friends, wanting to spend time together and explore the South East & London.
The open plan kitchen diner is our favourite part of the house. Plenty of space! There's a breakfast bar, day bed, craft/desk area, wood burning stove, solid wood table for up to 10 people, Fisher & Paykel fridge freezer, TV, sonos speaker, and enough space to swing a few cats. French windows and bifold doors open onto the patio for al fresco dining.
The lounge is peaceful, with a second wood burning stove, TV, sonos speaker and comfy sofas. The play room has big bean bags, TV & DVD player, toys and games.
There is plenty of storage in the hall, and a Bosch washing machine & tumble drier plus drying space in the utility room. There is also a second fridge freezer in the utility room.
Upstairs there are 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a study. The master bedroom has a TV which can be watched either from the king size bed or from the luxury bath, glass of wine in hand! There is also an en suite shower room. The second bedroom has a double bed and en suite shower room. The third bedroom has a single bed (plus camp bed as extra). The fourth bedroom has bunk beds. The fifth bedroom has twin beds.
The family bathroom has a bath and a shower.
Off-road parking for up to four cars.
Large secluded garden, not overlooked, with Weber BBQ, 14’ trampoline and a 20m zip wire.
We can provide one pop up cot and one high chair (please make sure to ask about these). There are no stair gates or potties in the house, so you will need to bring these if required.
NB there is a waist-height walled ‘drop’ in the garden between the patio and the lawn, and no netting surrounding the trampoline. Small children will need supervising. We hope you enjoy the house and garden, but we’re afraid we can’t be held responsible for any accidents either inside or outside the house.
Cleaning & maintenance
Court Lodge is our much-loved family home. We hope we are renting it out at a reasonable rate, in return for a bit of forgiveness on your part if there is a bit more 'stuff' around than you'd find in a standard holiday home. We will endeavour to leave it as beautifully as we would like to find it for you! We hope you will find it to be home from home. A local friendly expert will be on hand to answer any questions or respond to maintenance issues. Cleaning and gardening will be organised for your stay.
Annie grew up in Sussex, and Jimi grew up in Stratford Upon Avon. So Sevenoaks seemed the perfect place to settle and start our family!

We love the kitchen / diner. It's light and big and we have a lot of fun in it, and it opens out onto the garden. It's also great to have a play room and a sitting room to escape to, so it's not completely open plan. And it's brilliant being able to walk into town (restaurants, shops etc) or to Knole park (long walks, picnics).
We had a great time in Sevenoaks and the house was a real home from home. Annie had been fantastic and made us feel very welcome.
Very clean and a true family home, we felt privileged to stay here.
We managed to visit all the pub's in town, as well as eating one night at the Argentinian restaurant - great steak and a lovely way to end our week.
Good communication throughout, we would definitely recommend this home to others.
Great location in tree lined street and only a few minutes walk to the town Centre, the place was spotless and extremely comfortable so we felt at home straight away, kitchen diner was even better than the impression we got from the pictures and very well equipped. Knole Park was a great day out, however Chartwell house was very busy on the day we went, I would certainly recommend this to friends and family.
Propriété tout à fait conforme à la description, et plus encore. La maison est propre, tout est à disposition, il ne manque rien (vaisselles, jeux jouets pour les enfants). Nous n'avons pas eu la chance de rencontrer la famille Gale mais les relations par email ou par tel sont chaleureuses. Sevenoaks est une ville vraiment agréable dans laquelle on se sent vraiment bien. Nous ne sommes qu'à 30 mn de Londres par le train. Si nous devions retourner dans le Kent sans hésitation ce sera à Sevenoaks et dans cette maison.
Had an absolutely wonderful week in this gorgeous house. The garden is great with the huge trampoline and zip wire, beautiful bedrooms, well equiped kitchen, lovely playroom for the children and Sevenoaks is a
Lovely town. Spent a day in London, easy to get there by train, train station is nearby. Great pubs nearby. All in all had an absolutely wonderful time, hope to be able to go back Some day.
