Fabulous villa, superb location & wonderful break

  • 5 of 5

What more can be said that hasn’t already been stated!! A fabulous villa in a superb location resulting in a wonderful break! My wife and I visited in early December with our son and his fiancée, returning home just before the Christmas festivities. The weather was consistently hot & sunny, with the odd tropical downpour.

What a delightful find on the lovely West Coast of Barbados. Porters Court No.7 is just perfect with every amenity you could ever want, the décor is tasteful and the villa is furnished to an exceptionally high standard. The villa is set within peaceful grounds with immaculately kept gardens and pool area.

The location of the villa is perfect with the lovely Alleynes Bay just a stone’s throw away from the villa across the main coast road. Membership to the Fairmount Beach club is included in the rental cost which was an added bonus, should you fancy a break from the pool or travelling further afield to the many lovely beaches around the island.

There is so much to do in Barbados and particularly around the Holetown area. We had an amazing day on the Catamaran Stiletto, which sailed from Bridgetown, the crew Sheldon and Shaun were excellent hosts, they even produced a cake for my wife and everyone on board sang Happy Birthday. Drinks were flowing all day & also a tasty lunch provided, swimming with turtles & snorkelling around shipwrecks. A memorable fun day at a very reasonable price. We didn’t hire a car but found the trips on the local and reggae buses an interesting experience, a great and cheap way to see the island.

There are so many excellent restaurants close to the villa, the recommendations that Steve and Amanda provided were tremendous. It would be difficult to choose a favourite from the variety of places visited, as each was wonderful & individual. The local people we met were so friendly.

Wilma the housekeeper was chatty and always full of fun. Thank you so much Steve and Amanda for all the help and information you provided prior to our trip and for answering our queries whilst over in Barbados. We will definitely be returning to the island!

Wonderful holiday in Paradise!

  • 5 of 5

My family (husband and two teenage children) and I stayed at No 7 Porters Court this summer. Our first visit to beautiful Barbados.

It was everything we hoped it would be and we had a fantastic holiday. Amanda was helpful and informative from the beginning of the booking process through to the end of our stay. The villa was wonderful and exactly as we had imagined it, and we felt very at home and comfortable there. We enjoyed the pool but fell in love with the beach and spent many hours snorkelling and swimming both in the day and often at sunset. The beach club passes were certainly a huge asset. We always like to see and experience as much as possible of wherever we travel to, so enjoyed many a reggae bus ride (!), a great catamaran cruise, some water sports including a surfing lesson for our son in the south, cooking some of the local fish and making our version of a Bajan curry and "Paella" in the well equipped kitchen, and experiencing the sensory overload on a night out to Oistins! We were also very privileged (with out really realising it beforehand) to be there for the Kadooment Day of the Cropover Festival, and loved getting into the atmosphere and celebrations along the streets with the locals.

Wilma the housekeeper was wonderful - helpful, warm and charming, as were all the people we met there.

Thanks again Amanda, and for making the booking and arrangements for the holiday very easy.

We really hope we can return one day.

Everything we could have wished for ... and more!

  • 5 of 5

A lovely villa where everything was just perfect. Elegantly furnished, kitchen extremely well equipped, very comfy beds and good bathrooms. The wifi worked a treat without any problems. The veranda outside was used extensively at meal times, eating breakfast was very tranquil and even for just lounging during the day while our 10 yr old played in the swimming pool - which he loved! I have to agree the position of no.7 is one of the best on this small development. We were able to overlook the swimming pool and the open countryside at the same time. We felt very secure even when our house was the only one occupied for one or two nights. The gardens surrounding no.7 and this development are beautiful and very well looked after by the gardener.

The location of the villa is perfect for the beach, a 5 minute walk away via a secure pathway to bottom of hill and across the road. This pathway is lit perfectly at night so no need to carry a torch. The road is where you can catch the bus, both stops on either side very convenient. The beach club membership at The Fairmont was a massive bonus as the beach was beautiful, fine sands and crystal clear warm waters. The sun loungers and parasols available every day at whatever time we arrived. No need to walk to the public beach and hire loungers! It is not necessary to hire a car - we travelled around on the reggae buses taking in the local charm.

Housekeeping was to a very high standard and Wilma was very helpful with everything. The booking process from initial enquiry to arrival was perfect.

We had a very memorable holiday at Porters 7, to which we really hope to return one day. Thank you so much Amanda.

Absolutely first class

  • 5 of 5

There were 4 in our party plus a six month old baby. Porters7 was perfect. Everything you could wish for - home from home. Extremely well equipped, spacious, clean, beautiful bed linen, exactly as described. The pool was great. Like a bath - even when it was raining! The beach and Lonestar Restaurant (frequently visited) only 5 minute walk. The passes to use the Fairmont Royal beach club were great. We went there every day. I will certainly going back and would recommend you go there too.
