City Centre Apartment close to Royal Mile

Waverley Park Apartment is a modern, well appointed apartment with two spacious bedrooms, one double with ensuite facilities and one twin room. It is situated on the ground floor of a well maintained building with a secure entry system, clean and tidy communal areas, free on street parking and an external bicycle store. The bright front-facing lounge has wood effect flooring and gas fireplace with a solid bathstone surround giving a cosy feel to the room. The lounge also includes a comfortable sofa bed for additional guests. A flat screen Smart TV with Freeview is installed. Free WiFi is available in the property.

The modern, fully equipped kitchen includes an integrated oven, electric hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine and microwave together with a dining table and sufficient chairs to seat 6. There is ample good quality cookware, crockery, cutlery, glassware and bakeware. A toaster, kettle, teapot and cafetiere are also provided. The main bathroom is set internally off the spacious hallway and is fitted with a bath and overbath shower.

The Master bedroom is carpeted and contains a comfortable double bed, bedside units and lighting and ample hanging space in the built in wardrobe. The ensuite facilities include an electric shower, vanity unit and basin. The second bedroom, also carpeted, contains comfortable twin beds with bedside cabinets and lighting and a built-in wardrobe. Good quality bed linen and towels are provided. An iron and ironing board, clothes airer and hair dryer are supplied. Broadband is installed in the property. A welcome pack with supplies to get your holiday started is included.

We can accommodate parties of up to 12 people between this apartment and its sister apartment Holyrood Park Apartment (Owners Direct Property ID 8158641) which is two minutes walk away in Tytler Gardens.

Mandy studied in Edinburgh 30 years ago and always loved this part of the city. We have been coming here as a family at least once a year for a holiday and knew we wanted to have somewhere permanent in the city which we could share with others.

Why James Phillips chose Edinburgh and Lothians

The apartment is very centrally situated close to the Royal Mile, Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament. We have another apartment in the same area and we have had favourable comments on the area, we therefore decided to purchase another property in the same area. Despite its central location the apartment is wonderfully quiet and peaceful and its location right on the edge of Holyrood Park opens up a range of excellent walking, cycling, running and hiking activities should you be so inclined.

Had a long weekend in a spotless well equipped apartment. Nice cosy touches which make you feel at home, lovely thick towels and nice bedding too! In a good location and plenty of parking spaces.

December stay in Edinburgh

Had a truely fabulous time in Edinburgh. The city is beautiful, the people friendly and there were just lots of incredibly interesting sights to see and visit. Wherever we ate out the food was delicious and well presented.

Waverley Park was excellently placed for our stay and as described was a 5 minute walk to the Royal Mile. It was also just round the corner from the entrance to Holyrood Park and it was lovely to walk through the park to the city centre. The apartment was really comfortable and well equipped. There is a large Sainsburys very nearby for those times you might want to eat in.

The apartment was very clean and warm. The instructions we received from James before our stay detailing which bus to catch, where to get off the bus and the photo showing the route to the flat were extremely useful, as were the photos showing the road the apartment was in and the location of the apartment inside the entrance hall. The only thing I would mention is that the bus journey from the airport on the 35 bus to the stop by the apartment took an hour. There is a much faster bus service that takes 30 minutes but this costs around £5 and the longer journey costs £1.60. Being 5 minutes from the town centre was not inconvenient but did mean we got a good nights sleep as it was very quiet at nighttime.

We had a really good time and fell in love with Edinburgh. Very much hope to visit again.

Great location for getting to city centre. Apt had everything we needed for our stay. Very comfortable for 4 adults. Could use more detailed instructions on the garbage sorting and disposal. Would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable property with everything needed for an excellent stay.

The flat is in a very convenient position, close enough to walk to the royal mile across the beautiful park land behind Hollyrood Palace.It was very comfortable with every amenity you could need and it was nice to be welcomed with some milk in the fridge and a packet of shortbread biscuits. .

Perfect location, very comfortable.

The apartment at Waverley Park was in the perfect location for our week at the Festival Fringe. It was close enough to the Fringe venues, castle and other tourist attractions, yet far enough away to escape the crowds and madness when we needed to. The apartment was bigger than it seemed on the photographs, which was a nice change, had ample space for five adults, and a well equipped kitchen. There is a Sainsbury within easy walking distance, but I did an online shop with them before we left, which was delivered with no problems at all for anyone that wants to try this.

Excellent Location

This is not a flamboyant property by any stretch of the imagination but if you want a small, comfortable, two-bedroom apartment located within a short distance of Edinburgh's most popular destinations, then you couldn't do better than this. Parking can be a hassle but is not a deterrent to enjoying this lovely location. The owners were very responsive to my queries and the apartment was clean and well-maintained. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property in this beautiful city.
