Lovely big rustic house surrounded by farmland without a road in sight...

If you are looking for a modern house with straight walls, without the odd crack (inside and out), Le Plaud is probably not for you. If by contrast you are looking for something idyllically charming you’ve just found it.

Formerly the owners’ home of a 50 hectare Vineyard, Le Plaud sits in a shallow hollow surrounded by sloping fields of wheat, sunflowers, corn (depending on the year), sheep grazing happily in the adjacent meadow and a four acre woodland at the bottom of the garden. It is, in short, a natural Paradise.

Why Michael Amphlet chose Chermignac

Sophie and I bought this property for three particular reasons.

in the middle of nowhere yet only minutes from the City of Saintes and even closer to our local Village of Chermignac, one of the most beautiful and vibrant in the circumference of Saintes.

LAYOUT...The downstairs living area is more than twice the size of the upstairs sleeping area.

LIGHT... Unusually for a lot of old houses we have lots of windows and thus lots of light.
