Siesta time under the pergola with large round bed. Play to your hearts content on your own dart board, Wii and PSP2. Relaxing in your own Madhatters bar.

Beautiful very large, semi-detached villa, 9 years old: front patio with gates and palm trees, 4 marble steps to the front door. From the patio doors in the lounge, dining and kitchen you are taken to the main patio and 8m x 6m private swimming pool with beautiful plants and palm trees. With built-in BBQ, sink, fridge, 5 ring gas and 4 cubic metre electric oven and TV.: Mosaiced shower adjacent to the pool. Wicker sofa, wrought iron scroll work table with 8 chairs, 8 sun loungers and parasols give ample relaxation both in and out of the sun and for your alfresco dining. Flight of steps takes you to a further sun terrace with sea views furnished with pergola and 2 sofas and table which turn into a very large round bed great for siesta times after a hard morning in the sun and swimming!

Large garden roof terrace has commanding views to the sea and Tavira Island: bask away in the sun on the sun loungers. Sun and shade with cool water to plunge into in your own 8m x 6m swimming pool with eco friendly solar heating and jacuzzi, watch TV and BBQ: what ever you want you can find here without moving a muscle. Decadent! and sheer bliss! You will go home tanned and relaxed.

Wrought iron and marble staircase winds its way from the bar to the glorious roof terrace with views of Tavira Island and the sea.

All bedrooms have air con, sat TV, DVDs. 1 and 3 with sea views. 1 and 2 with pool view. With Dorma bedding, duck down duvets and pillows. (Electric blankets for cosy winter nights):

Log burning fire for cosy winter nights.

You have your very own bar " Mad Hatters" complete with Dartboard, Sky TV. A huge library of books, DVDs CDs and games.

Beach and pool towels are provided. Hair dryers in every room and a pair of straightners!

Towels and linen are provided.

High chair, 2 cots, safety gate, booster seat, potty and toilet seat all provided.

Life jackets, umbrellas you name it we provide it even "Bug" doors where required.

Thanks to Sue for a very warm and helpful welcome. The villa is every bit as good as it's description, it having everything you would need and the location is very close to Tavira centre. All in all perfect. Booked for next year already.

Location

Tavira is a fantastic all year round holiday and working town. It has the most amazing friendly people, with excellent and value for money restaurants and bars .A gorgeous beach to rival any beach. It is an experience not to be missed. The villa is huge and in a great location close to all amenities and town. Taxis are cheap too! The pool area is just so nice and relaxing it is such a pleasure to just sit, relax and unwind. The villa is spacious with every home comfort including christmas tree and decorations for a christmas home from home in the sunshine. Spain is only 20 minutes away. Gibraltar only 4 hours we have easy access to the whole of europe. 6 golf courses close at hand. Beautiful places to explore on the coast and in the mountains. Bird watchers and walkers will love the many beautiful and exotic birds, including flamingos and storks. Watch the fishermen cockling in the river. Fresh fish and seafood is in abundance here.

Coast/Beach:

Tavira Island is the more lively of a selection of beautiful beaches in the area. Reached by small ferry boats and aqua taxis that travel up the Gilao river, dotted with many colourful and traditional fishing boats and yachts. The island has a good choice of restaurants and bars. It is more than a day on the beach it is an experience not to be missed. Quieter less populated beaches can be reached by car, miniature train and on foot, all belonging to the Ria Formosa nature reserve.

Golf:

5 minutes car drive away are Benamor golf course, Quinta da Cima and Quinta da Ria. Beautifully maintained golf courses, par 72, around 5,500 - 6110 m, 18 hole well situated with coastal views. Monte Rei now opened tipped to be the best course in Europe within 2 years only 11 minutes away .Castro Marim 20 minutes drive Quinta De Lago/Villamoura 30 minutes drive. Discount green fees available.

Travel:

Car hire is not essential, though an advantage for seeing all the beauty and places of interest this region has to offer.

Tavira has all the amenities and a vast choice in good restaurants, bars and pavement cafes. Divided by a small river crossed by pedestrian and Roman bridges. Tavira remains an authentic and charming tapestry of old and new.

Distances:

10 minute stroll brings you to the west of the river with charming bars and restaurants. To the east are churches, and a castle. Choice of 6 supermarkets supply ample fresh produce, with the local fish, meat and vegetable market not to be missed. Traditional working fishing villages boast excellent fish restaurants bordering Tavira.

Small shopping mall on the outskirts of Tavira only 10 minute stroll from the villa.

Not to be missed:

Take a trip over the Guardiana river to Spain and Ayamonte, 25 minutes by car. Seville is only 1 hour and 30 minutes away. If you do not want to go by car, then catch the train to Vila Real de St Antonio and catch the ferry to Spain. There is a train stop near to the villa where you can catch the train along the Algarve.

Cacela Velha and Fabrica. are not to be missed the views rival the Bahamas only 10 minutes drive away.
