Beautiful 3 bed cottage on Maenporth Estate. Private patio & shared use of pool.

Bay View Cottage, or 26 The Crags, is a beautifully presented cottage on the Maenporth Estate. It's primarily decorated in warm magnolia with striking white furniture and accents of blue, and is packed with personality.

The apartment has a designated parking bay right outside the front door which makes unpacking easy and stress-free. Step inside and you'll find one double bedroom, one twin room, plus the family bathroom with a double shower cubicle, completely tiled in modern, earthy tones. The bedrooms have plenty of storage and the beds are tastefully dressed in crisp white with navy blue accents. There is also a cupboard on this level which houses the washing machine and tumble drier.

If you go up twelve steps from here, you'll reach the master bedroom. It's a spacious room with a window seat to sit and enjoy the gorgeous sea views. There's an en-suite bathroom with both a large, modern bath and shower cubicle. It's tiled throughout in sand-coloured tiles. As an added extra, we are now supplying each guest with one bath and one hand towel, free of charge.

Downstairs again and descend a further five steps to the large, spacious open-plan living and dining area. It has a huge, four-seater sofa and a matching two-seater, both with scatter cushions in bold, stripy fabric that matches the curtains and various ornaments. The room has A-frame beams so the ceilings are high, adding to the light, airy feel of the space. The television and DVD player are wall mounted which saves on floor space and allows a perfect area for the dining suite.The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you'll need for a week or two away. It has been designed with glossy white units that run the width of the kitchen. There is plenty of workspace so even the little ones can help prepare lunch.

Outside through the patio doors and you'll find yourself on the private terrace. It's a large space, not overlooked, and has a table and chairs, plus sun loungers and a barbecue. Imagine throwing some steaks on the barbie, opening a bottle of red and chilling in the evening warmth. A perfect way to un-wind.

For bookings of one week or over, we'll have a welcome hamper of red wine, Smugglers tea, Taylors filter coffee, milk and a selection of Cornish biscuits, ready for your arrival, plus you'll have 29 acres of established gardens to explore and full use of the leisure centre.

There is a £100 refundable deposit against damages required on this property.

Enjoyed our stay at no 26. Lovely sunny spot in quiet location. Bedrooms & bathrooms nicely furnished & outside area great if you have good weather. Would definitely book to go again.

Activity and Interests

The Maenporth Estate is just two miles from Falmouth and overlooks the beautiful Maenporth Beach. It's a private complex with a coded entrance gate, making it safe and secure for all guests.

Set in 29 acres of natural woodland, with stunning views of the cove, it's a perfect base for family holidays. You'll find two all-weather tennis courts, a children's play area, and, of course, the Leisure Centre where we have our indoor, heated pool, sauna and Jacuzzi. There are pool and table tennis tables - all free of charge.

The famous award-winning Cove Restaurant is on site, or if you'd prefer something simple, try the Life's a Beach Cafe - you guessed it, on Maenporth beach, for fresh crab sandwiches or a Cornish clotted cream ice-cream. Two miles along the coast and you'll come across Helford Passage and the wonderful Ferryboat Inn which specialises in serving local seafood dishes. From here you can catch the foot ferry across to Helford Village, or hire a rowing boat or paddle board for the afternoon.

Maenporth's a sheltered cove with shallow waters, making it perfect for all kinds of family beach activities: the little ones will love paddling, splashing daddy, and clambering through rock pools. There's plenty of sand and piles of pebbles for sand castle building, and beautiful clear water for swimming.

Arvor Sea Kayaking offer guided kayaking trips throughout the year, and Cornwall Divers will take you on a scuba diving course from the beach! And, at low tide, you may spot the famous Scottish trawler, Ben Asdale, that was wrecked off the Maenporth coast on 30th December 1978.

The nearest town is Falmouth - the third largest natural harbour in the world - take a boat trip along the Carrick Waters to a smuggler's cottage, or hop on the ferry to St Mawes. Visit the Maritime Museum, great for children with its hands-on approach. Catch some Grand Medieval Jousting at Pendennis Castle. Or simply sit with a cold glass of white wine and watch the boats glide by.

Whatever you choose to do, you'll be sure to unwind from the stresses of life, and simply relax...
