Number 4 The Ridges is perfect for a family holiday as it's close to the beach, the leisure facilities and to the town of Falmouth which is bustling with activity for all ages. It's a super little apartment that's bursting with colour and personality, and is decorated throughout in a theme that reflects the bold colours of the sea and the sand.

Step through the door and you'll find yourself in the spacious, open-plan living, dining and kitchen area - the walls are painted in a sandy fawn colour with bright, turquoise accents. There are two soft sofas with plenty of scatter cushions for reclining comfortably at the end of a busy day, both in front of the French doors, so it's a light and sunny space. The dining table is tucked away to one side, with plenty of space for relaxing over a long, family supper, or even for inviting a friend back for tea. If you're looking for an informal spot to eat, or just a space where the children can help make sandwiches for a pirate's picnic, there's a breakfast bar with two tall stools. In fact, a brand-new kitchen has just been installed, so you'll be working in a space with gleaming ivory-coloured units with chrome accessories. You'll find a new oven, hob and microwave, plus a dishwasher, so all kitchen duties should be easy and fuss-free.

Through to the master bedroom, all styled in a warm sunny yellow and sea-blue. The twin room is cool and contemporary in ecru and a navy blue. Both bedrooms have blinds at the windows as well as curtains, so you can choose to block out the light, or allow the early morning sunshine to filter through as a natural wake-up call. The bathroom has recently been renovated with a modern, white suite. There is a bath and an electric, overhead shower to suit everybody's needs. As an added extra, we now supply each guest with one bath and one hand towel, at no extra cost.

Outside, via the lounge, is the private balcony with chrome table and chairs. The views from here really are stunning - of the beach, but also of Falmouth Bay and beyond. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a late-afternoon Cornish Cream Tea before showering off the day's sand and getting ready for the evening ahead.

You have full use of the leisure facilities, all free of charge and for bookings of one week or more, we'll have a welcome pack of Taylors filter coffee, Smugglers tea, milk, a bottle of wine and a selection of Cornish biscuits ready for your arrival.

Ridges 4 has been awarded a four-star rating from Quality in Tourism. There is a refundable £100 deposit against damages required on this property.

Location great although beware very very steep hill to climb to get back from the beach.

Apartment looked like it had been left over the winter and not cleaned properly there was damp in both bedrooms and living room the kitchen has tape holding the work surface together and it looks like it hasn't been updated for many years the dishwasher leaked water and was unusable overall nice location great pool and view but poor apartment.

Owner's Response: Hello Mr Butler, We are so sorry you experienced those problems. Had we known about the dishwasher at the time, we would have had it repaired/ replaced. The kitchen is about to receive an overhaul, including new worktops, dishwasher etc, so we appreciate your comments on these.
