WhitBeck is a Newly Refurbished house to a very high standard, for all your Holiday needs,Excellent Views of Skiddaw -Latrigg -CatBells,Excellent location for all levels of walking,biking, Bedrooms are 1 king size room,1 double room,and 1 twin room ,which can all so be a superking bed together,upstairs bathroom with shower and toilet,Down stairs has a living room which seats 6 and a log burner and a smart tv,which also opens through in to dining area,and again opens through in to a sun room with great seating and a tv/dvd room,Kitchen Has a gas Hob with electric oven,Abundance of kitchen units with a fitted fridge freezer,Dish washer,Wash machine,also a small kitchen table with TV,with a Fantastic shower room with toilet,Then the fantastic back garden with fabulous seating for all the family on a evening with a barbaque,On front another garden and drive with plenty of parking,5 mins walk in to keswick for restaurants or pub food,But just around the corner there is a little spar for all your. amendities.please ask for dates if they are a day out or in ,i can help,thank you,PLEASE CALL OR EMAIL NEARER TIME FOR ARRANGEMENT FOR KEYS.

Nice duplex on the edge of Keswick

Spent a week in Whitbeck with another couple. Cottage was nicely furnished and clean and had great views out the back windows. It is located slightly outside downtown Keswick, but stores and pubs etc are within easy walking distance. It is also situated near the main highway, so you can get on the road without going through Keswick. The backyard has a grill and picnic table for when the weather is nice (it was for us!) and the cottage has 2 parking places off the street, which is a big plus. In our six days we visited Ambleside, Windermere, Bowness and Grasmere. Also saw Dove Cottage, Hill Top Farm and Muncaster Castle down south. Took one day to visit Hadrian's Wall and the nearby stone circles. Unfortunately the pencil museum in Keswick was still closed due to recent flooding.

We mostly self catered, but did get to the nearby pub The Pheasant for dinner, as well as the Morrel restaurant in Keswick. Both were excellent.

Only one caveat - we had a bit of trouble finding the cottage because Google maps was somewhat misleading. It located the cottage on the north side of High Hill Road, but it's on the opposite side. Look for the name Whitbeck carved into the low stone wall in front of the cottage.

Immaculate family house in a fantastic location

We have never stayed in Keswick in high season (school holidays) before and so the cost of this house was more than we'd paid before. However I am happy to say that it was worth every penny. It was actually no more expensive than the going rate for other accommodation but the standard was way above and beyond what we have experienced before.

All the furnishings and fittings were of the highest quality with the kitchen and living areas having everything you could possibly want, including a double oven, coffee pod machine and smart TV with the all-important wifi for the teenagers.

The back garden was big and fenced securely allowing dogs and small children to be safe, and the front garden gates also meant that area was secure. There was a set of garden toys (badminton / volleyball etc) too!

Plenty of hot water and the heating was great. The 2 bathrooms came in handy at times of peak demand too.

Last of all the location was excellent. The walk into the town centre was about 10 minutes, to the foot of Skiddaw / Latrigg about 15 mins. Also, it was easy to get straight onto the A66 to avoid queuing through the town centre traffic lights in the car on the way out for day trips.

The contact and communication with the property owner was quick, easy and friendly.

I really cannot recommend this home highly enough and will be telling my friends and family all about it! Thanks for a lovely stay.
