Contemporary 2 Bed Chalet in Snowdonia National Park

Parkway chalet is situated in perhaps one of the most beautiful settings in Snowdonia National Park with stunning views both out to the front and to the rear, and is just off the Welsh Coastal Path. The location of the chalet is perfect for walkers and fishermen as well as those wanting a quite retreat with most facilities within 10 miles.

The chalet has recently undergone extensive refurbishment, turning it into a stunning two bedroom chalet with a private decking to the front. The chalet sleeps up to 5 people (one double and one trio bed) and comes complete with quilts, pillows and bedding. Sorry, no pets or smoking allowed.

Stupendous all round!

From start to finish this was the best experience we've had in a chalet break.

It was very easy to book, to pay and the communication was quick and very informative.

The chalet was the best we have ever stayed in, clean, modern, comfortable and with stunning views to boot!

Kim was exceptional when we asked for help, thank you.

We really couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. Breakfast on the decking in the sunshine with Dot, the little dog, long walks along the local trails with peace and tranquility all around.

Easily accessible towns, 5 minutes drive away with all amenities.

The spa was immense!!! Sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, gym, indoor pool and a heated outdoor pool all for £11 per person. The food and service in the Macdonald spa resort was also of a very high standard.

We could not fault our stay in any way and we cannot wait to return for a longer break next year. Maybe we'll even bring the children, but I doubt it!

Absolutely loved it!

A lovely, cosy chalet which is nicely equipped. The underfloor heating was terrific, and the sofa and beds were really comfortable. It's an ideal spot to explore this beautiful corner of Snowdonia.

The only reservation would be if a member of your party is particularly infirm: they might find access a little tricky.

Mooi modern ingericht en comfortabel chalet op een prachtige plek, maar.....

Het chalet ligt prachtig met Snowdonia en Midden-Walesvoor de deur, dus een goed uitgangspunt voor wandelingen. Mooie omgeving. Goed restaurant (Plas Talgarth) op loopafstand. Ruim aanbod aan voorzieningen op 7 km afstand (Machynlleth)

Er zijn ook kanttekeningen: het is naar onze mening vooral geschikt voor 2 personen met eventueel 1 kind; dus beslist NIET voor 5 personen.

Er is binnen ook geen eettafel ; buiten eten op het terras kan wel, maar is in Wales niet altijd goed mogelijk. En: hoewel de keuken goed is ingericht zijn de koekenpannen niet meer geschikt om te gebruiken. Wij hebben daarover contact opgenomen; hierop werd geen actie ondernomen. Later zagen we dat er een half jaar voor ons ook al over was gereclameerd: dus geen goede beurt voor de verhuurster!! Al met al ontbreken essentiële zaken. Gelet op wat het pretendeert, zouden we - zoals de stand van zaken nu is - deze accommodatie niet aanbevelen.

Owner's Response: This man is the first negative I have experienced with my chalet. He was a very rude and certainly someone I would NOT recommend to other property owners. The chalet seats and sleeps five comfortable (see other reviews), and I have had many positive reviews from guests of five. In fact, this is my first negative review. It is clearly photographed and stated the seated, sleeping and eating arrangements. It took me 40 minutes to explain to Herman F.L Hendriks how to turn on a plug socket that was in plain view, as he insisting on being very abusive on the phone to me telling me my appliance was broken before trying sockets. There was a choice of 3 frying pans alone at the property, so not the only pan he could have used, and having viewed all pans, I cannot see one that is unusable, but still bought one more.
