Our charming spacious two bedroomed apartment - Le Petit Nid - "the little nest", is situated on the first floor of a traditional building looking down into Rue Carnot in the gorgeous and colourful town of L'Isle sur la Sorgue. The apartment's central situation means you can sit back and relax with your fresh croissant or glass of local wine and enjoy watching the life of the village with people strolling along the streets below. With the Sunday market you can look out onto an authentic Provencal scene! The apartment is flooded with early morning sunlight and is a really great location to explore the excellent restaurants and bars of the town which we can happily recommend.

The location is also perfect to explore the antique shops, boutiques and art galleries and is only minutes away from Isabella's Ice Cream café which famously makes the best ice cream in the region!

We completely refurbished Le Petit Nid in spring 2015 and have endeavoured to make the apartment welcoming and comfortable, whilst keeping modern needs and requirements in mind. It is furnished with quality furniture and uses excellent linen from the UK.

Bedroom 1 has twin beds which can be combined to provide a king size bed so you can choose how you want the beds set up; bedroom 2 has a double bed. Both bedrooms also have ample wardrobes with drawers and chairs.

Store room - An additional room is available for you to use to store your travel cases etc.

The living area is laid out in typical French style with open plan sitting and eating areas and an ‘American cuisine’. The sitting area has a sofa and two armchairs, with beautiful soft furnishings while the dining area has a good-sized table and four comfortable chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, electric hob, electric fan oven, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and all utensils.

The modern bathroom has a WC, washbasin, a walk-in shower, heated towel rail and a hair dryer. All linens and towels are provided.

The apartment has English-speaking TV, reversible air conditioning (which cools and heats) and WiFi internet. Town centre parking is available near to the apartment.

Newly renovated in 2015, with old world charm and practical modern living in mind, Le Petit Nid is an ideal base for exploring the lovely town of L’Isle sur la Sorgue and this idyllic area of Provence.

For your arrival at the apartment, we will provide you with a key code to access the apartment and we have a local contact should you have need whilst you are staying at the apartment.

Excellent location and comfortable good sized rooms.

This property is very well situated and close to the station. We found the beds to be very comfortable and the bathroom is excellent. We did however find the washing machine tricky to understand - the spin cycle didn't always work. This is probably down to the operator rather than the machine!

The kitchen is very good but we would have appreciated a microwave. The dining and sitting area is good.

All in all an ideal property although a wee bit noisy especially in early morning when the rubbish is collected and the streets are being cleaned.

We were more than happy with the rental. It is well maintained and clean and lives up to its description.

One thing that could be emphasised is the convenience of getting to l'isle sur la Sorgue from Avignon TGV or central station.Rather than taking a taxi the rail option is a good one as the property is so convenient from the station. Perhaps the owners could supply a train timetable when giving the final details to guests.

We will certainly be recommending this property to others.

Excellent central location.

The apartment was in an excellent location - a couple of minutes walk from the central square. We really felt we were in the heart of the town one which we would recommend for its character and ambience. The apartment had all you need for a comfortable stay - the air conditioning was welcome at times as the temperature was mid 30's most of the time. L'isle sur la Sorgue was a town full of character and I enjoyed goes to the bakers each morning for fresh bread and croissants. The twice weekly market was full of fresh produce and a lovely atmosphere.

Comfortable, Convenient, Clean

We thoroughly enjoyed our too short stay at le Petit Nid. L'Isle Sur La Sorgue is a charming town: many good restaurants, lovely ambiance with the river running through the town, stupendous Sunday market, convenient base for regional exploration of the Luberon. Its only drawback is its obvious popularity with many vacationers making it a bit too crowded at times. The apartment was well equipped, clean and very conveniently located to restaurants, stores, and other amenities, although access by car is tricky. The air conditioning was a feature we highly appreciated due to the hot weather we experienced. The only minor quibbles are the absence of a microwave oven and the tiny bedside tables in the second bedroom that were inadequate to accommodate our needs which included use of a CPAP device.

No other guest has suggested a microwave or found the size of the table inadequate but we will certainly look at your suggestions. The town does get very busy during markets - we tend to use the central location of the apartment as a way to get out early and miss the very busy period. Great location, lovely apartment. Couldn't get the WiFi to work but 4G works fine. Overall a lovely stay. Would recommend!

Great Apartment

Very comfortable apartment with a wonderful location. in the heart of the old town, everything in the town is walk-able. Beautiful windows let in light and breeze. There were four of us. We loved it!

Lovely apartment, fantastic hosts!

Wonderful stay at Trevor and Janes apartment. It's location was ideal and very central - easy for quick trips to the shops and cafes each morning and just steps away from the grocery store as well.

The apartment was equipped with all emenities one would want to make the stay easy and very comfortable.

A binders with helpful hints and tips was a great resource for exploring the local area.

Our hosts were very helpful and responsive, no detail overlooked! They even went through the extra trouble of helping us with a cot and high chair for our baby to use during our stay.

We would highly recommend them and love to return someday.

Location

From the Owner

We just love L'isle - overtime we return we find something new. The restaurants are great, the markets amazing and we also enjoy riding bikes on the well marked cycle tracks which are very quiet and safe. The position of the town is also brilliant as a base for touring if you want to explore further.

The location of this property is just perfect - right in the centre and literally next door from the top restaurant on trip adviser - Mistral. The apartment gets early morning light through the living room windows and, having double glazed windows and reversible air conditioning, is very comfortable throughout the year. We have an 3rd additional room which we decided not to convert into a bedroom as we wanted guest to enjoy the space - the room is ideal for cases, laundry etc and guests have found it very useful.
