Thank you for giving consideration to our home in the Florida Keys.

We hope we can welcome you as our guests, and look forward to helping you plan Your P E R F E C T Dream Holiday.

Our home is situated in the Kawama Tower at Kawama Yacht Club and is modern and spacious with contemporary furnishings that give a sense of light and airiness and tropical marine themes.

In 2015-16 we have replaced the windows throughout, repainted, we removed carpets and as you can see have just fitted the modern rectified rectangular Tiles throughout. We have a very good cleaning lady so you are going to find a clean, fresh, bright place for your vacation. We also just fitted brand new Air Conditioning and a brand new Sofa-Set in May 2016. i.e. the place is well cared for and maintained....

A combination of beautifully maintained gardens, pools and waterside facilities ensure a lovely base for a Family or a Romantic Couples holiday and to explore the unique Florida Keys.

Two of the pools are tiled 'heated' pools including the 'Oasis Pool'. Additionally one of the pools is a large palm fringed saltwater swimming lagoon which is approximately 300 metres long and incorporates swimming platforms for the children and has many colourful Fish to feed. There are two all weather floodlit tennis courts. There's a marina and dockage slips are available to rent locally. We have a small beach area giving access to the Ocean for swimming and snorkelling. together with some seating and sun loungers just 2 minutes walk or 150 yards from the Kawama Tower. The property as a whole enjoys landscaped areas with PalmTrees and themed ‘South Seas’ style Tikki shelters and Gazebos for shade in relaxation areas.

The community is gated for privacy and enjoys 24hr manned security.

The property is maintained to high standards and we renew soft furnishings each year brand new, we re-decorate as necessary on a 3-4 month cycle and replace major furnishings on a structured cycle.

Elevator access to Kawama Tower. Parking is free under and around the building.

Unique Features of the Kawama Yacht Club :

Quiet location = 1.5 Km from busy main highway US.1.

Most other accommodations in the Keys are right alongside busy US1 and suffer from Road Noise.

We enjoy an Ocean Front setting in a region of incredible natural beauty, situated on a peninsular between a Bird Sanctuary to the west and John Pennekamp Marine Coral Reef State Park adjoining to the East.

Kawama Yacht Club is gated for privacy and security.

Ocean access and waterfrontage for swimming. Kawama features two sandy beach areas 450 feet from the Elevator. These have thatched palm sun shelters and tables, plentiful seating, together with some outdoor cooking facilities.

The Oasis Pool is located just 100 feet / 30 metres from the elevator.

The community benefits from maintained tropical foliage and gardens in the main public areas.

Guests have access to two tiled, temperature maintained pools. Oasis Pool is heated in winter, cooled in summer.

A 1000 feet long Saltwater lagoon with swimming platforms for children and full of colourful fish to feed and snorkel with.

Two floodlit hard tennis courts, and a pier which is a popular location for the daily sunset celebration and which also offers fishing opportunities from the point. There is also a modern children’s play area with climbing equipment and swings.

The marina offers facilities to individuals wishing to bring their own watercraft, with a free to use ramp for renters together with dockage rentals (at additional cost).

There are several paths and private roadways around the Yacht Club so you can walk around the saltwater lake, out to the pier, past the waterfront and around the wider property and outwards to explore the local vicinity.

The Florida Keys with their elevated aerial highways are undoubtedly one of the great scenic drives in the World. It’s also a place of immense natural diversity and beauty and through the network of State and National Parks and the many recreational opportunities available to the visitor along the Keys and the local region, you will find the natural world is very accessible. Every water sport or activity on, above or below the sea is popular.

Excellent fishing is available as well as boat trips to suit all pockets. Boating, swimming, kite surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, water skiing, jet skiing, snorkelling, scuba diving and sailing are simply a way of life for Keys residents. A host of opportunities exist for visitors to join in. If you fancy something a little more relaxing there’s simply lounging in the sun with a book, bobbing in the water, romancing and sunset dinners to enjoy.

Then there’s diverse cultural interests from arts, a rich music scene, and sporting activities also competing for your enjoyment on vacation.

As regular travellers ourselves, we have continued to champion the Perfect Vacation experience for all our guests.

Sally is a chartered accountant =CPA , so our honesty and professionalism may be relied on. Andrew develops and manages our wider portfolio of investment rental properties in various locations. Bottom line, is that we have a broad experience of property management and good standards and ownership practices.

We are licensed with both Monroe County and Florida State with the appropriate professional standards documentation to undertake vacation rentals.

What makes this apartment unique

We had been vacationing in the Keys for many years and looking for a suitable property to buy which would offer a range of quality amenities, space and a tranquil location.

Our choice was eventually easy after reviewing every condominium community virtually from Key West, through Marathon and upto Key Largo. We even rented some to test the locations for potential purchase and living in those locations.

We settled on Kawama Tower owing to the unique combination of location as it's in the middle of everything and the location amenities within the community are what we were looking for.

These include three swimming pools for your use.

Two are tiled 'heated' pools including the 'Oasis Pool' which is conveniently situated just 30 metres/100 feet from the elevator. Additionally one of the pools is a large palm fringed salt-water swimming lagoon which is approximately 1000 feet long and incorporates swimming platforms for the children and has many colourful Parrot Fish to feed and snorkel with. There are two floodlit hard tennis courts. There's a marina and dockage slips are available to rent locally. We have a beach area just 2 minutes walk or 150 yards from the Kawama Tower. This is landscaped with palm trees and themed with ‘South Seas’ style Tikki shelters for shade with plenty of seating and several beach barbecues for your free use.

The community is gated for privacy and enjoys 24hr security.

The grounds are landscaped, with tropical foliage and flowers growing everywhere, and there is a landscaping contract that maintains the grounds each week.

In combination, all of these elements make an attractive destination to visit. Both for us as owners, and for you as guests looking for quality accommodation for your vacation.

great winter retreat

We just stayed in this condo for 3 weeks & had a wonderful time. The condo was exactly as described, was spotless clean, & was equipped with everything you could possibly need. We did really feel like we were in a tree house with all of the palm trees out every window. The pools were very nice, clean & warm, the people were very friendly & helpful with great suggestions of where to eat. We liked Snooks outdoor restaurant across the road, Mrs Macs, The Hobo café, and buying fresh fish and shrimp at the fishery to cook ourselves. We snorkeled at the Pennencamp state park, and drove 2 hrs to Key West twice. Our grandchildren visited for 5 days, {10 months & 4 yrs old}, the condo had a crib and highchair, and they enjoyed the pool & playground.

Andrew & Sally, the owners, were great to talk to & called several times to see how we were doing All in all it was one of the best vacations we've had. It was hard to leave and go back to 10 inches of snow. We had exceptionally warm weather our whole stay. I would recommend this property to our friends or relatives. Hope to go back every winter.

Perfect Honeymoon

We stayed at Andrew's and Sally's lovely apartment for two weeks. The facilities at Kawama are superb and the location is great for exploring the Keys.

Communications were great throughout.

We hope to be back in the not too distant future and would recommend this property to anyone.

Excellent service and accomodation

The owners were very easy to work with and responded quickly to questions. I really appreciated the time they spent making personal recommendations for activities and restaurants. We took full advantage of the state park pass they graciously provided and spent time at the beaches where my boys found tons of crabs, watched kite surfers, and saw iguanas and snakes beside the paths. The resort is very nice and in a great location. The lagoon is so beautiful, watch for the tarpon and lobsters. The condo itself is clean and fresh, Andrew's artwork is a nice touch. My only criticism is that the glass on the glass top tables move, we had to educate our boys to be very careful. Wonderful place, it really adds to the whole vacation experience!

Great place to stay

We stayed at Sally and Andrew´s place for a week. When we looked for a place to stay, we wanted a place not to far of Key West and Miami, and this place was just great!

There were lots of places to eat out, things to see, and Key West and Miami was not to far away.

The apartment was great, Andrew was too! Everthing regarding the stay were done in a professionel way. Both before the stay and after. The way of paying could have been easier though, but that is not a big problem

We had a great time, all four of us visiting from Norway. If anyone should ask me where to stay in that erea, I have absolutely no problem telling them about Sally and Andrew´s place!

PS: Make shure to have the time to eat at Mrs Mac´s Kitchen...

Beautiful place! Great condo!

My fiancé and I rented Andrew and Sally’s beautiful condo for one week in January and it was one of the best vacations we’ve ever had!

Driving up to the Kawama Yacht Club, the first thing you see is the palm trees and tropical growth. The grounds of Kawama are very nicely manicured. Check in, the lock box /key entry, finding the condo from the main road in Key Largo was all very unproblematic. Being at Kawama Yacht Club feels like you’re away from the world, yet your only a minutes’ drive from events, dive centers, stores, excursions, and restaurants. There’s Ballyhoos restaurant, where we ate the best lobster, key lime pie, and all you can eat stone crab claws in all of Key Largo. We had a wonderful breakfast at the local’s favorite, Docs Dinner. The Conch House, and had a great Conch Chowder, which if you go to the Keys, you have to try! The Pilot House and Calypsos was also nice! They are both on the same road as Kawama Yacht Club and are within walking distance. If you eat at the outdoor bar you get a great view of incoming boats and pelicans in the marina. The Big Chill, is on the water, and the sunset from the outdoor bar is nothing short of stunning! There is also a Kmart and Publix grocery store close by. If you go to the Publix, you have to buy one of their key lime pies, they’re amazing!

The condo was perfect! When you walk in, you’re greeted by beautiful tropical Florida design! The leather couches are clean and in great condition, both bathrooms are very nicely done, the carpets are clean, the balcony is tiled with clean furniture to relax on, and the kitchen is very clean and fully stocked with everything you would need to cook a meal! The new bathroom with the tiled shower is very nice! The other bathroom is good also, as it has a bath tub, perfect for taking cool baths, after a long day in the sun. The TV in the living room is big and has a great picture on it. Over all the condo was updated, clean, and comfortable.

My fiancé and I spent our days lying by the pool, we’d move to the beach and then to the lagoon! I didn’t know a lot of history about Kawama until we arrived and I was greeted by some of the friendly locals at the complex. Apparently the area was host to the navy seals training program back in the day. The lagoon, at the deepest is 65 feet deep and has two ladders that extend down to the bottom. There is a plethora of tropical fish and coral in the lagoon. I strongly suggest going to the local dive shop and purchasing

  • The fully air conditioned accommodation at our home is all on one level. Queen in the Master, 2 x Full Doubles in the second bedroom, sleeping six guests, with the useful option of accommodating two more people on a pull-out double sofa bed in the lounge. Both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with the master being luxuriously appointed with walk-in double shower and fine fixtures & fittings. In addition, for persons sleeping on the Sofa bed, the 2nd Bathroom is annexed in such a way that there's private access from both the 2nd bedroom or the living area. WIFI access is free. WHY OUR CONDO ? Notes:
Kawama Tower features three swimming pools for your use. Two are tiled 'heated' pools including the 'Oasis Pool' completed in 2007 which is conveniently situated just 30 yards from the elevator. Additionally one of the pools is a large palm fringed salt-water swimming lagoon which is approximately 1000 feet long and incorporates swimming platforms for the children and has many colourful Parrot Fish to feed and snorkel with. There are two floodlit hard tennis courts. There's a marina and dockage slips are available to rent locally. We have a beach area just 2 minutes walk or 150 yards from the Kawama Tower. This is landscaped with palm trees and themed with ‘South Seas’ style Tikki shelters for shade with plenty of seating and several beach barbecues for your free use. The community is gated for privacy and enjoys 24hr security.
