We live in Hitchin but have been coming down to Christchurch for many years to enjoy the milder weather, sandy beaches and sailing.
Robin / Helen Annett purchased this bungalow in 2014
We bought our holiday cottage 3 years ago and spent several months renovating it into a modern open plan space, ideal for our family or for relaxing with friends. We hope you will love it too. The house is filled with sun light and the walled garden quiet and full of birds.
The house is in amazing location with easy access to the beach,Hengisbury Head nature reserve and to the pretty town of Christchurch with many bars and restaurants. We rarely use the car when we are down, walking or cycling everywhere. The house is in a peaceful cul de sac so is suitable for families but not for loud parties.
I would like to say how much we enjoyed our week in your lovely bungalow. Everything we needed was provided and it was beautifully clean on our arrival. The open plan living was great for all our family being together and the beds were very comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness as the photos don't really do it justice. We were lucky with our weather at the start of our week and were able to enjoy the barbecue provided when family arrived to visit. The beach is close enough to get to and return to the bungalow for lunch and a rest before setting out for the afternoon . We enjoyed ferries to Christchurch and Muddeford and the children loved crabbing off Muddeford Quay. Hengistbury Head was also a favourite walk. When the weather was not so good on the last two days we found Adventure Wonderland which the two younger grandchildren enjoyed (ages 7 and 3). My husband and I would be very happy to return on our own sometime as we love the area and would feel very relaxed in your house.
We had a very nice week. The bungalow is in a perfect walking distance to Southbourne beach, our four kids loved it there.
We had a very nice and friendly contact to the owner. The house was in a good condition and the equipment was also perfect. We would like to come again.

Very good open layout and very well equipped. Lots of nice little touches
Plenty of space in the house, lovely and bright. The neighbourhood is very quiet and peaceful. Great area to explore. Walk to the boating area at Tuckton tea rooms. Take the ferry to Christchurch or walk in half an hour. Great for playing on the beaches in the evening. Tips: the kids games are kept under the single bed, we didn't find them for ages. The on suite bathroom is tiny but my elderly mom used it ok.
Property had almost everything you would need for a 7 day holiday. Good location for all your holiday entertainment. Beds very comfortable. Plenty of room to relax at property.
The bungalow was beautifully presented and in a very good position for touring and also visiting nearby beaches Most rooms were a good size and the conservatory was really roomy and helped to form an open plan living area where conversing either from the kitchen or lounge or conservatory parts.was easy. Utensils were plentiful and invariably smart. Facilities were good although the main loo could have been better. The shower in the bathroom was very popular and was excellent. The en-suite was very useful and the main bedroom was a good size and very attractive. The 2nd bedroom was a good size with adequate facilities for storing clothes, etc. It would have been nice to have a chair in there for 2 oldies like us! The 3rd bedroom also had good storage facilities.
As the weather was so changeable during our week it would have been excellent to perhaps have a DVD player available as I did take some DVD's along in case, but if one could be supplied this would be such an asset for bad weather days.
We were a family of 5 adults who were happy we chose this bungalow for our week's stay. The quietness of the cul-de-sac was perfect and, as said before the design of the bungalow was exactly right for a holidaying group of up to 6..
Overall it was a near perfect place to spend beside the seaside even though the weather for our visit wasn't as good as we'd had for weeks before in London. No one to blame apart from climate change!
