Splendid view, what a nice place to make holidays

  • 5 of 5

We spent a very good time in the Boat Yard in Appledore. A very comfortable house, well equipped, especially the kitchen. Cooking, eating and enjoying ourselves in the brilliant conservatory with the gorgeous view over the rivers Torridge and Taw. We will keep this place deep in our minds.

If you like you support the local library, just buy a few things in Walter’s Emorium, opposite of Richmond dry docks. Do not forget to visit the local shop John’s, very friendly and the Beaver Inn, not far away from the Boat Yard.

Best regards from northern Germany

Stunning house. We loved every second.

  • 5 of 5

What an amazing house. Clean, tidy, comfortable, warm and the view was amazing. Appledore is a fantastic place to visit with lots to see and do. We spent a wonderful 7 nights enjoying the area and coming back to enjoy the house in the evenings. We honestly wish we could of stayed longer and we are already talking about our next visit.

Spacious, well equipped, homely home from home

  • 4 of 5

The Boat yard in Appledore met all our expectations. Ample room for us with six adults and two children over the weekend. We spent evenings in cooking and eating together in the conservatory which even though it was October maintained a nice temperature with the central heating. A log burner would also add to the warmth in the winter months. Bedrooms clean and attractive with great views across the estuary. Parking ample on main Appledore carpark just a short distance away.

Appledore was a charming little place with plenty to see and do locally. Local people very friendly. Would without doubht return to property and Appledore

Brilliant. Every amenity one could possibly want. Cosy, comfortably. Beautifully furnished etc

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is magnificently situated on the water side. It is easy acces to the quay and all its sociable benches and coffee shops etc. It is a great base for the local walking , either along the beech or the coastal path. Loved the friendly people and the relaxed north Devon environment generally.

Thank you Richard .

Sorry to disturb your peace so far away. Have left the spare keys /receipt in the cottage

Many thanks

Very well equipped house in perfect location with stunning views

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful week in Appledore. The house is perfectly situated with just a short walk in one direction to the shops or to the beach in the other direction. I dont think we've stayed in a house that was so well equipped. The fact that there was a cot, high chair, pushchair and lots of toys was a godsend for the children (not to mention saved us lots of space in the car) and the coffee machine was very much appreciated by the adults! But the best thing for us was the fact that we could crab fish off the end of the terrace. Our two older boys made us arrange every day around high tide so they could have their daily crabbing contest!
