A great family retreat which is beautifully decorated, fully furnished self-catering 1st floor apartment. Located in the central square of Los Alcazare village, no car required. 5 minute walk to the glorious golden beach. San Javier Airport is 5km away, 40 Min drive to Alicante and an hour’s drive from Benidorm.

We are located directly behind Hotel 525 facing a green area along a no car access route (Google map search: Rio de Espinaredo) which opens out into the main 'Market Square' so you are ideally located.


There is ample communal parking if you wish to hire a car)

About Los Alcázares

Pronounced Los Al-Katha-Res— is a small, but expanding coastal spa town and former fishing village on the western side of the Mar Menor in the autonomous community and province of Murcia, south-eastern Spain. Murcia a saltwater lagoon separated from the Mediterranean Sea by a 22 kilometre long strip of land called La Manga. The World Health Organisation has named the waters of the Murcia Province the cleanest in Spain.

The Mar Menor is always 3-4 degrees warmer than the Mediterranean and the area enjoys an average of 320 days of sunshine each year.

Winter is also Mild on average the temp does not drop below 10 degrees C. which make it an all-round destination. Typically receives 320 days and 3000 hours of sunshine.

Los Alcazares is a relatively low-key Spanish resort, making it ideal for those looking for both relaxing and active times. Couples and families will enjoy the many excellent restaurants in the town or just lazing around on the beach or by the pool all day.

There is a variety of bars, cafes and restaurants, and over 20 tapas bars dotted along the beach serving fantastic value local tapas and drinks, the old town’s narrow streets have numerous hidden gems and the Balneario plaza offers drinks, tapas, meals and entertainment. When it comes to eating out,you will be truly spoilt for choice.

Whilst Los Alcazares has some nice boutiques, perfumeries and restaurants and a really nice street market on a Tuesday, serious shoppers should head for Cartagena or Murcia where large dept. stores and designer label outlets aplenty can be found.

Murcia is around 40 minutes away by car. This vibrant city was founded by the Moors in 825AD and boasts a beautiful Cathedral and University, as well as Botanic Gardens, Museums and other historic buildings around its narrow, but characterful streets. Shops include El Corte Ingles, (the Spanish equivalent of Selfridges or Fenwicks etc) and numerous designer label shops on the Calles Traperia and Plateria, dozens of great restaurants and a lively nightlife, especially during fiestas and carnivals. Head south for about 25kms and you will come to Spain’s oldest port.

Cartagena is one of Spain’s oldest cities, and still of major maritime importance to Spain, both commercially and militarily. In the heart of the city is a modern shopping area, which spills down past the tapas bars to the recently revitalised harbour.

Welcome to our 2bed apartment. We currently live in the UK with intentions of moving to Spain once our daughter has completed her education. We love Spain for the food, atmosphere, history but ultimately the guaranteed sunshine.
