Conveniently located in the heart of the village and just stone’s throw away from the Teifi Estuary, Tivy View has been lovingly presented with parquet floors, stain glass windows and comfortably furnished with contemporary pieces throughout. Perfect for alfresco dining and cooking up ’the catch of the day’, the enclosed patio area provides a sun trap during the summer months. Take a scenic stroll into the village and enjoy its selection of traditional welsh pubs and restaurants, or take a step back in time and explore the ruins of the 12th century Historic abbey. The River Teifi is a haven for peace and tranquillity and is a natural playground for bird watchers, ramblers and water sport enthusiasts. Explore the Ceredigion Heritage coastline and discover the popular coastal resorts of New Quay and Aberaeron, encased in their picturesque fishing harbours where bottlenose dolphins and grey seals can be spotted on a clear day. Just a 30-minute drive away lies the quaint, historic city of St David’s, featuring its magnificent 12th-century cathedral and medieval ruins of Bishops Palace. The charming market towns of Cardigan and Narbeth are within easy reach, as are historic sites and leisure attractions.

All gas, electric, bed linen and towels included. Initial fuel for wood burner provided. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate. Welcome pack.

Perfect holiday home for exploring west wales.

Wow, we had a fantastic family holiday in sunny west wales. The house itself is beautiful, we loved the style and decor. It's clean modern and fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The welcome pack was a really nice unexpected touch, and the location is perfect for the beach. I would recommend crabbing by the marina, dinner at the pizza tipi and a glass of the welcome pack fizz in the garden in the evening. We can't wait to return and have already booked again for next year!

Gorgeous house in an amazing location

Absolutely LOVED our week at Tivy View. What the owners have done with the house is just lovely. Not your typical soulless holiday house but real home-from-home. Great décor, quirky design and luxurious bedding. It's 10 mins from the gorgeous Poppit sands and the town of Cardigan is a 5 minute drive with all the amenities you could need. There's so much to do in the area with kids that we didn't have time to do it all. Look forward to booking again next year!

Nice area but property not as good as expected

The area around St Dogmaels was splendid and is in an excellent position for costal walks. The locals are very nice and friendly and there are plenty of local places to visit including Poppit Sands which was just a short trip down the road.

We had high expectations of this property having read the other reviews online. The property itself was ok although the kitchen oven (and roasting tray) was in a pretty bad state and didnt look like it had been cleaned for quite some time. We ended up either cooking meals using the kitchen hobs or eating out in the local pubs. The upstairs shower wasnt hot enough and started to leak onto the downstairs dining table when it was used. Unfortunately we had some electrical equipment (camera and laptop) on the dining table and which needed some drying out after being exposed to the water leaking from upstairs. When we looked at the ceiling from the dining room it looked like it had been leaking for some time as there were quite a few water stains. When we noticed the leak we called the owners of the property who were very apologetic and understanding. Unfortunately we didnt feel as though we could stay for the whole trip so left a day earlier than planned.

Maybe we were just unlucky but we probably wouldnt recommend this property to friends or relatives given our experience.

Fabulous retrea!

What a great place to stay to explore such a beautiful part of Wales. This was the perfect base - cosy, clean and stylish. Loved the decor, log burner and amazing goose feathered duvets and bedding. We loved every aspect of the house and would love to stay another time. We left with heavy hearts - a good sign! St Dogmael's is both beautiful and friendly - we have returned back to Cambridge with such happy memories of our stay at Teifi view. We would so love to return one day.

A unique and beautiful holiday home

We've just returned from a great 4 night break, and will be returning next year for a full week.

The house is beautiful, roomy with lots of thoughtful details that make the house very liveable. The bath tub in the bedroom was a great touch, but also loved the well designed kitchen and wood burner in the lounge.

The house was very clean, with high quality bed linens and towels, the owners provide plenty of info on the house, village and local area.

The setting is also fantastic- close to a lovely beach, local gastro pub and the cafe by the ruins of st dogmaels abbey. There are plenty of great day trips in the local vicinity too, more than enough to fill a week.

I would certainly recommend to friends.

The perfect setting for a great holiday

We stayed at Tivy View over May half term loved it. The house retains some lovely original features and the owners have added contemporary decor and furniture giving the house a really fresh feel. We especially enjoyed the quality feather & down duvets, the luxury roll top bath and of course the log burner.

It is the perfect base for touring North Pembrokeshire and beyond. We would recommend Mwnt bay, it was our fav trip, the kids ran straight up the hill, we looked around the little 14th century church then played on the beach for the rest of the day. Other must 'dos' are Castell Henllys Iron Age Hill Fort, Fforest Pizza Tipi, St Dogmaels local produce market Tue am and The Cliff Hotel & Spa for posh afternoon tea and these are all within 15 min drive!

We will definitely go back and look forward to walking along (some) of the Pembrokshire coastal path which starts down the road at Poppit Sands and outdoor activities like coasteering when the kids are a bit older.
