Perfect for groups!!! Lovely manager!

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect for my group of friends. The beds were comfortable, the balcony looked over the beautiful canal and the kitchen was well equipped for the 9 of us (two ovens helped to make sure there was food for all our food). The house was located in walking distance from shops and pubs. It was in a caravan park which was quiet at night. The manager (lady with pink hair) was an absolute star and made our stay special, checking in with us every day to ensure we had everything we needed! Would definitely recommend to all big groups! X

Fantastic place, large airy and beautiful

  • 5 of 5

What a great place! Right in the heart of new mills, but with views going out over the valley and the canal with rolling fields and hills. It's really nicely decorated with plenty of bathrooms and living space, and lovely touches (like the cosy reading nook I wish I had in my own place!). The owners were super organised and great to deal with, they were able to accommodate my last minute requests and were courteous and pleasant at all times. I can't wait to have an excuse to stay there again!

Fantastic apartment

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from a long weekend at the Bikeshed with the family -- 10 people in total and had a great stay. The Bikeshed was immaculate on our arrival, towels, bed linen and a well equipped kitchen, heating on and the fire burning. Certainly made us feel at home from the start.

Peter and Heather were very helpful with local information and their knowledge of the Peak District.

In summary the Bikeshed was easy to book, Confirmed on email within 24 hours. Peaceful location that our grandchildren loved also the adults.

Now on our list to stay there again --- Andy Milne 4th. April 17

Fully equipped and much bigger than expected.

  • 5 of 5

I took my grandchildren and two dogs. The property is huge. We all felt very comfortable and at home during our stay. Everything you need is supplied. The children loved having ensuites. The dogs could run around inside and on to the balcony, the canal path is only over the bridge and a park 5 minutes walk away. Wonderful view. Peaceful. Lots to explore in New Mills so no driving required. The village was very friendly. Small shop over the bridge.
