Charming recently renovated south—facing villa in total calm and tranquility, offering high-end amenities and splendid views of les Massif des Maures.

This is an exclusive property, that is entering seasonal renting in 2015!

Only 15 minutes from the famous village of Fayence and 10 minutes from Riviera’s most exclusive golf course & spa resort, Terre Blanche and about 30 minutes from Cannes.

The house of 280 sq. offers 5 bedrooms, one of which in a separate pool building, a large & spacious sauna, heated pool and a totally renovated and fully equipped open kitchen. The house, not overlooked by any neighbours, is surrounded by a 5630 sqm lot with terraced back-yard. The property is closed and has wifi, automatic irrigation system, alarm system and electric gate.

The elegant hall which opens to the living room, has entrance to two en-suite bedrooms: the main bedroom which is recently painted with hand-painted stucco and has a reversible air-conditioner as well as a second (children's) bedroom with stylish Italian style shower room in hand-painted stucco as well as a renovated walk-in wardrobe.

The main guest room, located in its own tranquillity in the new wing of the house has a reversible air-conditioner unit. Adjoin is its own Italian-style bathroom with hand-painted stucco and handmade tiles.

The new wing of the house includes also an office (w reversible air-conditioner) and a guest toilet – and one floor down, a spacious utility room (with access to the garage and back gardens) and a second salon with wooden floors and sliding doors to the garden. The whole new wing has floor heating.

The light, newly renovated open kitchen with kitchen isle and lots of working space is neatly planned with high-end finish (Italian style stucco walls, silestone working surfaces, latest easy-close drawers, Nordic drying cupboard, a pharmacist’s drawer for dry food and separate drawer for oil & vinegars etc).

The deluxe kitchen amenities (Siemens) include American fridge (w ice-cube maker & filtered cold water), induction stove, dish-washer, pyrolyse oven, micro-wave oven, steam oven as well as a filter coffee machine and Nespresso. The kitchen leads to a glassed and heated veranda (“breakfast room”), with sliding door to the large terrace. The open terrace has a magnificent view over the calm valley and offers often breathtaking sunsets behind five layers of Massif de Maures -hilltops.

The kitchen opens towards the dining area and living room with the above mentioned terrace views. The dining table is in glass & wrought iron (sits up to 8), a high chair can be organised for smaller children.

The living room has recently been painted with 100% non-toxic “artisan” chaux and has a fire place with glass doors and two large sliding doors onto the approx. 100 sqm terrace. A large stone dining-table for (10 people) and 4 Italian design sunbeds welcome the visitors on the terrace.

The pool house on the lower level includes a deluxe sauna, a shower/toilet room as well as a guest room and overlooks the 4 x 12 m heated pool and terraced terrain. On this level you will find another dining area and the gas bbq. In the pool area there are two more sunbeds + comfy outdoor cushions.

The attic includes an entrance with wardrobes, office space as well as a Provencal, romantic sloping ceiling bedroom.

The terraces & garden

The house is surrounded by a 5630 sqm lot with terraced back-yard. There are 3 levels of south (and pool-) facing terraces, all with either dining area or sunbeds. There is also a the north facing lounge area under a roof, outside the 2nd salon in the new wing of the house. This is where you can relax in shade during the hottest hours and sheltered from rain, listening to the little water cascade on the front side of the house.

The naturally laid out garden, which include a more than 200 year old olive tree, lavender, wild Provencal herbs, Mimosa and Magnolia trees has an irrigation system. On the front corner of the garden there is a playhouse for small children. The south-facing rustic back-yard is terraced. The whole property is fenced, so safe for pets.

The property is located in a calm “cul de sac” in walking distance from the picturesque village of St Paul en Forêt. Several nature walks can be accessed directly from the property. The closest one being a nice family walk (2 km) with botanical information panels around the small lake of Lac Rioutard, which can be seen from our terrace.

The village of St Paul en Forêt offers a restaurant, a bar/tabac, a bakery/food store, a butchers and a post office. There is a provencal market (mostly vegetables and fruits) on Sunday mornings. The sister-village Bagnols en Forêt is on 8 min driving distance, with several restaurants. The picturesque village of Fayence (15 min drive) has a famous provencal market on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings.

The nearest local wine caves (Grande Bastide, Tourrettes) is only 1o min away, and more interesting wine caves can be found towards le Muy/La Motte (our favourite is organic wines by Le Jas d'Esclans).

Terre Blanche golf course and Spa Hotel (Tourrettes) is at 10 minutes driving distance, as is Europe’s top gliding aircraft centre (Fayence). The large Lac St Cassien, which offers canoes, pedalos and other water activities is only a short drive away.

Cannes and St Raphael/Fréjus are 30 minutes away, Nice 50 min and St Tropez at 1h 15 min drive.

Everyone, who has visited says we have a breath-taking view and that pictures do not do the view any justice! The house is a real "hidden gem", not overlooked by anyone, secluded, safe but not isolated.

La Colette Villa has the most amazing terrace

Amazing terrace for watching sunrise and sunset. Fantastic pool and sauna. Villa has loads of space so everyone can chill out and have a relaxing holiday. One suggested minor improvement would be to add a couple of fans in the rooms without Air con.

Villa La Coulette or La Jas de la Maure that it used to be called before we bought it was our treasured home 2005-2014. It is a piece of heaven on earth, away from the crazy bustling coast and has a view to die for -- it calms any stressed soul the minute you lay your foot on the terrace and eyes on the view over the hilltops. We love the nature surroundings and have discovered, together with our dog, every path and every stone in the nearby forests.

The house is located less than 10 minutes from Côte d'Azur most prestigious golf & spa resorts, Terre Blanche.

The house has a spectacular view over 5 layers of Massives de Maures. Several nature & hiking paths can be joined directly from the house. You can reach Cannes in 40 min, Antibes or Nice in 60 min and several beaches (Mandelieu, Juan-les-Pins, St Raphael-Frèjus) in approx. 40 min by car.

Lac St Cassien is with paddle boats and other water activities is only a 20 min drive away. There is a local market at St Paul en Foret on Sunday mornings and the reputed Provencal market in Fayence village (15 min drive) is open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Europe's top gliding aircraft centre is also located in Fayence..

We love the "calm absolu", the tranquility and no "vis a vis" from any side of the house. And of course, the five layers of hilltops, coloured in different shades of blue in the evening or different shades of rose-purple when the sun is going down! We have enlarged and renovated the house slowly during 10-years, mostly with non-toxic traditional chaux and stucco paints and with great love and patience. The house has all modern amenities, but has kept its authentic provencal soul.
