Alpe d'Huez, is set on a high sun catching plateau in the middle of snow fields and just 63 kms from Grenoble; It has a superb microclimate - its position in the Southern Alps ensuring plenty of sun, whilst its height ensures good snow and a long ski season.

Typically French in style, it has a lively après ski scene with a good selection of restaurants, bars and clubs.

Alpe d'Huez has 220km of south-facing runs with wonderful panoramic views of the Ecrins mountains.

The skiing in the Grandes Rousses, is excellent for all abilities with ample gentle slopes for beginners close to the resort. Many of our chalets give immediate access.

There is a wide choice of runs for intermediates including runs to the interconnected villages of Auris, Oz en Oisans , Villard Reculas, Vaujany and La Garde.

For experts the cable car to the Pic Blanc at 3330m gives access to the longest black run in the world - the 16km long Sarenne and also to the infamous Tunnel, as well as giving stunning views over the great summits of the Alps - the Mont Blanc, Mont Cervin and the Meije. A sixth of France can be seen on a clear day.

Alpe d’Huez has a wide range of non-ski activities including the heated outdoor and indoor swimming pools and open-air ice rink as well as an indoor golf range, fitness centre, tennis and squash courts and gym . These are included on the ski pass as well as one day’s skiing in the nearby resorts of Les Deux Alpes and Serre Chevalier.
