Close to Shropshire Hills
We really enjoyed staying in the cottage. It was warm and comfortable and had everything we needed. It's a great location for walking in the Shropshire Hills, and for visiting places in the area.

Comfy stay
Ideal spot for us to meet up with family. Lovely property, cosy and welcoming as all older (properly built!!) houses mostly are! We wanted for nothing as the place is very well equipped. Plenty of room for 4 of us and our dog. Well situated for the touring we wished to do with decent eats and drinks across the road. The host was very friendly and helpful and our check in process was a piece of cake. All in all an excellent stay, thanks, definately 5 stars!!

Family Visit
A beautiful cottage with everything we could possibly need for our holiday visiting this lovely area of Shropshire. Great walks nearby and nice towns/villages. Easy to have food in the pub opposite or pick something up in nearby Church Stretton or Craven Arms. The cottage was perfect for our family, lovely outdoor spaces and nice to relax in the conservatory in the warm sunny evenings. We would definitely like to come again.

About the host

We are a retired couple who live in Formby , Merseyside but spend a fair amount of time at the cottage and are delighted to share it with our guests. It's a great base for exploring towns such as Much Wenlock, Shrewsbury, Ludlow and further afield into the Welsh Marches. We enjoying local walks with beautiful scenery and pub lunches from a range of options !

Why they chose this property

We have been fond of the area for many years .Feel that it is still undiscovered and unspoilt and has enough to interest us all the year round from National Trust and English Heritage properties to walks on the Mynd and winberry picking on the Stipperstones in the summer. Church Stretton just 3 miles away offers a good selection of shops for our needs and the pub just across the way from the cottage is friendly and does great food.

What makes this property unique

Our guests tell us that they feel this is a home from home! The cottage will be prepared for you with beds made and towels provided. You can do Christmas here !
We are easy to access but you will feel part of the countryside!
