The views from this cottage are breathtaking.
Lying in bed and looking out at the ocean is like looking at an ever changing oil painting.
Set in one of the most unspoilt corners of Cornwall it is surrounded by history.
It is a place where you feel how much stronger nature is then man.
At night the stars shine bright, by day the bird life fills the skies.
It is truly one of the most magical and energetically restorative places I have ever experienced.
The cottage is a typical Cornish cottage and was a joy to stay at. Very comfortable and everything you need to enjoy a fantastic holiday. We love going on long walks and the cottage is close to the coastal footpaths. There are a lot of interesting places to look, Geevor mine/museum is a must and is just next door, the Telegraph/theatre at Porthcurno and not to forget Lands End. We incorporated many of our trips with walks around national trust, coastal and public path ways and this enabled us to see a lot of historical interesting places. The cottage isn't right next to a beach but there are some beautiful beaches in close proximity, such as Sennen Cove, Porthcurno and St Ives.
In all, we had a great holiday and would recommend the cottage for anybody who loves walks and seeing places of historical interest. We had a mixture of weather when we were here but it couldn't do anything to stop us enjoying a wonderful holiday, in a lovely cottage, in our favourite place Cornwall.
We had a great stay at the cottage which suited us down to the ground. The location is amazing too.
We loved the cottage and the coastal views are magnificent. This cottage was so cosy, warm and we both felt so at home there. We would recommend this special place to anyone visiting the area. Thank you Helen for letting us share your magical Cornish cottage.
We arrived at the cottage on a black, stormy night but the directions from a Helen were great. Pennyfarthing was welcoming with a toasty Aga, which we learned to use with a helpful book right next to it. And the next morning, while still very windy, we woke to an AMAZING view from the bed! The cottage is a great location—great walks along the coastal path, and an easy walk to get some groceries or a pint at the North Inn. Our only recommendation to Helen is to have all the appliance manuals booked together in a prominent location in case needed. Wonderful stay-hope to return again!
We found the cottage very easily even in the dark and we're amazed at the location when we woke the following morning we will be back
This was the second time we had stayed at this property. We love the cosy setting amongst the rugged West Cornwall cliffs and old mining ruins. The property gives easy access by car to many wonderful places and remains very close to our hearts. We will undoubtedly be looking to return again.
