No Need For A Car or To Drive anywhere!

This beautiful, 300 year old finca has been carefully restored to retain its traditional rustic charm. Set on an elevated position of terraced land it is surrounded by citrus, almond and olive groves, pines, herb garden & water well.

The gated entrance drive leads up to the enclosed pool area, covered garage, BBQ area. A few steps lead up to the enclosed pool area with covered seating area, loungers and flower garden. Views of Ibicenco pastures stretch out across the valleys way into the distance.

The pretty village of San Carlos is 2 mins walk with restaurants, play park, chemists, banks, bars, the eventful Las Dalias 8 mins walk and many beaches 5 mins drive.

Leading from the high beam-ceilinged entrance hall on the ground floor there are 2 bedrooms with twin beds, a bathroom, lounge & dining room and kitchen. On the upper floor are 2 double bedrooms and a large exterior covered dining area with beautiful views and now WiFi.

Tranquil surroundings yet easily accessible as 2 minute walk from San Carlos village & all amenities, Las Dalias & 5 minutes drive to various beaches. Covered pool area & mature garden for natural shade make it child friendly as pool can be enclosed and surrounding land is fairly flat for play and pleasant walks nearby.

Plentiful dining areas inside & out. There is newly installed WiFi and dishwasher. Also puzzles and toys for children!

I have been living and working in Ibiza for 25 years with my husband the French artist Dominique Sanson, resident for 50 years, who painted the series of 20 paintings The History of Ibiza and The Human Galaxy which shows scenes of esoteric knowledge throught the ages.

We live near Santa Eulalia with our child throughout the year. We enjoy meeting and caring for guests who love the villa for its many attractive qualities. Clients are usually very happy and often express surprise at how lovely the villa is and usually say the photos do not do it justice. We have many repeat guests, some who have been coming for 10 years.

Because it is one of the few remaining original, yet unspolit, reasonably priced fincas, within easy walking distance to so many amenities in the village.

It is the perfect holiday home in so many ways that is why we have return families and friends every summer. And now we have been making improvements on the finca, it is more comfortable and value for money.

This farmhouse has been standing for around 250 years and still retains its original charm, coolness in the summer heat and two terraces from which the sea breeze and valley views can be enjoyed.

What makes this villa unique

This is one of few villas within a short stroll to picturesque, friendly villages. Here you can walk down and buy a litre of milk before your tea goes cold.

The villa stays lovely and fresh all summer even if it is baking hot outsidse due to the meter thick walls.

The fenced in swimming pool means parents with young children can close the gate and relax knowing their young ones are safe.

It is a real, genuine Ibicenco finca, so while you are there, you feel you are really a part of the island and its herirage. There are many artefacts and family heirlooms to be seen, also a little library of English books and some childrens toys.

Near the house there is a lovely country museum you can walk to and other country walks along pleasant winding lanes. Even taking a strolll around the property is pleasant and pretty wild birds to be seen.

Almonds can be picked from the trees as well as oranges, lemons and the herb garden beside the water well will add flavour to your cooking.

Free cot and high chair hire will help keep expenses down and the children will love there lovely old fashioned bedrooms.

There are great good restaurants, bars and boutiques, even a play park. At night and during the day Las Dalias offers entertainment including family events. Taxis are pretty frequent and beaches, Santa Eulalia and other resorts a few minutes drive away.

Its the first time I´ve had a rental villa and been able to relax properly, due to the fenced off pool area and spaciousness of this lovely old house. My little girls had room to run around inside and out in the garden while my husband and I enjoyed a glass of wine and read papers. At night we walked down to the play park and later went to see some live music at Las Dalias which we could also walked too. Everyone is child friendly and San Carlos village caters perfectly for our needs .

People love Cana Maria as it is typical Old style Ibiza. Fresh, airy, spacious, innocently minimalist and peaceful. Surrounded by a large expanse of its own fenced-in land with a pretty garden offering natural shade keeping the pool private and a gate to prevent access by small children. The covered poolside eating area is handy with sunloungers & umbrellas for lounging. A three minute walk from the village so no need to venture far for your supplies from newspapers to wine, dining and pleasant company. Even nightlife is close at hand with the lively Las Dalias just a stroll through the village and down a bit. The East coast has a great variety of sandy beaches a few minutes drive away and good local restaurants are abounding. Cana Maria is an inexpensive, people friendly home with a variety of areas to relax and unwind. Also a TV, music system, CD player/ DVD player and fans in every room. The walls are 1 meter thick so house stays cool in summer. Great value for money.

A wonderful property- Big, Beautiful & Charming

Cana Maria was easy to find, nice and close to the village.

There was a nice little picnic hamper for us in the fridge and free cot and high chair. We were greeted and shown around and given lots of local infomation- very helpful. Excellent customer service.

It´s much beautiful than photos can show and bigger too. The rooms are nice and cool and the swimming pool area pleasant with a shaded area a pretty flower garden beside it. The children loved the huge gardens and picking oranges and almonds for breakfast. .

It was great to sit on the upper terrace enjoying a cocktail and watch the sun go down over the mountains. Then the whole family would walk down to the village for dinner or a few drink in one of the many friendly bars, Las Dalias was good fun on party night too.

We liked touchesthe book library, the little herb garden and the Ibicenco drinks cabinet in the wall!

Have already recommended it to our family and friends!

Maison typique d'Ibiza idéalement située

La maison est spacieuse, calme et confortable. Elle est idéalement située, proches des commerces de San Carlos et des magnifiques plages du nord de l'île. La jardin et la piscine sont magnifiques et très bien entretenus. Marianne nous a merveilleusement bien accueillie et nous a fait nous sentir chez nous. Merci beaucoup !Nous reviendrons très bientôt chez Marianne !!

Villa Cana Maria is a 2 minute walk (Easy for Children and More Mature Guests) from the loveliest village on Ibiza.

A spacious, attractive, safe, typical Ibicenco villa with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere set in a huge garden with a beautiful view amongst fruit and nut trees.

Many of our guests are like old friends as they have been coming for years.

They love the simplicity and peacefulness of the villa and proximity to the village.

There is a variety of shops restaurants, tapas bars, lovely old church, village square and playground.

Nearby is the well known colourful and entertaining Las Dalias Hippy market which also holds early evening musical events a few times a week.

Approximately 6 beautiful beaches are within 4kms of the village. The resorts of Es Cana and Santa Eulalia are both within 6 kms. Transport is easy as main roads link Sant Carles with both buses and taxis are available.
