Unique location with breathtaking views
We used the villa as a base for exploring Tuscany. But it was wonderful to return after a long and arduous day to this mountain top outlook. The local support was friendly, prompt and helpful. Several good local restaurants within walking distance plus village shops. We would return in a heartbeat.

Loved our week in Roccatederighi!
We all loved this house. The incredible view and unique character of the house with the 3 lovely terraces. Kitchen was well equipped. The upstairs bedroom with the roof terrace is magical at night with the clear view of the stars. The Borgo is full of life and nice bars and restaurants. Riccardo was super helpful too. Thank you!

Amazing views!
A lovely, large home in a beautiful and very friendly village. Chris was a very efficient and helpful owner to deal with. Ricardo in the village was very helpful and very quickly resolved the small water supply issue that we had. A gorgeous and relaxing area of Italy to visit.

Last House on the Left
That is how I described our location for my face book friends, and future visitors. Since we stayed a total of two months, I am not sure all of our experiences will be helpful to the one or two week vacationer. First of all, the house was a revelation. It was hard to conceive of what a house was going to look like, perched at the end of a medieval village. It met our needs very nicely. The bedrooms were cozy, and the kitchen was large. It was equipped with a dishwasher, that saw quite a lot of use. The Internet (very important to me) was more than adequate, and reliable. Over the course of two months there were a couple of instances where items needing fixing. Fortunately the hardware store in Ribola was well stocked, and I was equal to the task. The view was inspiring, from every window, of every room. I wish I had paid more attention to the distances to landmarks (Florence, Sienna, Lucca, etc) from our house. That was my fault....not Chriss's. The people in the village were friendly, and the shops were good enough....the bakery was more that good enough! We had a great time, walking all over the countryside, and there is some walking involved. What a great experience!

Atmospheric old property, in friendly village, with lovely views.
We loved Casa dell' artista and would happily recommend it to other visitors. The property is romantic and has fantastic views. The village is friendly and the restaurants provide good Tuscan food. We enjoyed our stay a lot and would love to go back in due course.

I am a retired solicitor and my wife is a teacher. We have two sons in their thirties and we acquired the property when they were teenagers. After 16 years, we all still love the house and village

Why they chose this property

We came for a holiday to Roccatederighi in 2002 and fell in love with its beauty and uniqueness. We had no intention of buying a place in Tuscany but we were enchanted by the place and the people. We decided to look around to see if we could find a place suitable for our family. Our one criteria when we were looking at properties was that the property should have adequate outside space, good views and also be within easy driving distance of the coast and hill-top towns.

We were therefore thrilled to find Casa dell'Artista with so much outside space, two terraces and a garden. We were very fortunate to find this unique house.

Although it was perfectly habitable and an artist and his family were living there, we totally renovated it. We have continued to improve the house over the years.

What makes this property unique

One of the unique qualities of Roccatederighi is that it is a genuine Tuscan village, full of charm and life. The people are wonderful, friendly, helpful and genuinely kind.
The uniqueness of the house is, without doubt its location and the astounding views, which extend across the Maremma plains to the sea and the islands of Elba, Giglio and Corsica.
It offers peace and tranquility and yet in less than 5 minutes you can be in the heart of the village with its bars and restaurants.
The Medieval character of the house is also unique. It has a history but is modernised and comfortable.
