House 'Fontana' is licensed to be rented commercially by E.O.T., the Hellenic Organization of Tourism, licence no. 1174K91001131101.

Stay in House 'Fontana' for an authentic taste of the real Greece. The property is located in the heart of the Greek community and close to other properties inhabited by friendly, welcoming people of all ages.

78 sq. metres (including a large, private, dining terrace) and sits on a plot of 116 sq. metres including a small, private, garden.

Suitable for couples, a family of up to 4 people (or 5 if child is sleeping in a cot) or a couple and 2 friends. Please note that we cannot accept bookings for single sex parties unless by prior arrangement. We also regret that we cannot accept a booking if the lead booker is under 25, again unless by prior arrangement. This is a non-smoking house and pets are not permitted.

This single level, detached house has recently been completely refurbished to an extremely high standard by it's current owner. Including:

- marble flooring throughout.

- air conditioning throughout.

- double glazing throughout including integrated mosquito nets.

- wood burning stove and electric heating throughout so ideal for year-round occupation.

- luxury bathroom with walk-in rain shower.

- satellite television package showing live English Premier League games and films (included in price).

Rental prices quoted also include a full professional clean and full change of bed linen and towels midway through and at the end of each week's stay.

My property manager will meet you at the port or airport, on your arrival, and accompany you to the house to explain how everything works. She also lives in the town and will be available to help should any problems arise during your stay.

House 'Fontana' is located in the main town - Chora - of Naxos, at the base of the 13th century Venetian castle and close to the beautiful 18th century Orthadox cathedral and archaeological museum. Despite it's easy access to all local amenities, this is an extremely quiet house and location.

The 'Paralia' (road in front of the harbour which has many cafes, restaurants, shops, car/scooter rental sites and banks) is within easy walking distance as is the ferry port, public bus stop and the 2,500 year old 'Temple of Apollo'.

There is a stone beach - suitable for swimming - a couple of minutes walk away but the best sandy beaches are either the blue flag beach of St George (in town) or the stunning blue star beaches of Prokopios, Agia Anna and Plaka on the west side of the island (approximately 15-20 minutes by car, scooter or bus).

In addition to it's beaches, Naxos is wonderful for all outdoor activities including water sports, walking, swimming, cycling (mountain and road), horse riding and tennis. All of these are within easy reach either on foot or by public transport, scooter, car or bicycle.

Comfortable 2 bedroom apartment in the Chora of Naxos with big patio!

House Fontana was great! There were only 3 of us and the apartment was definitely big enough to house us all. This place is great for 2 couples, or a family. It has a big kitchen and a large living room. Also, former guests have left maps and other information that you can use during your trip. The only complaint was figuring out what to do with the trash but we eventually found a dumpster in a nearby parking lot. Would definitely stay here and visit Naxos again.

Fantastic property in a great location

We had an amazing week at House Fontana in Naxos. The house was very comfortable and in an ideal location in the old part of town. Fantastic restaurants are only a short walk away and the beach was easily accessible by bus. Would love to go back

Great house in a fab location with everything you need!

This is a great house in a very quiet location, convenient to all the amenities in walking distance. The house is finished to a very high standard and has everything you need and feels very home from home, especially the toaster and kettle!

On arrival at the airport we were collected by Janine and taken to the house. Janine made us feel very welcome and was really informative about Naxos. The property was spotlessly cleaned by Janine during our stay, she visited the property on 3 occasions to clean and change the linens. This house is possibly one of the cleanest properties we have ever stayed in on our holidays. Also on our arrival the property owner emailed us to check we were happy and to contact him if we needed anything, we could not have asked for better service and we felt very looked after.

We enjoyed our stay at the house and especially the shaded terrace, under which we enjoyed many pre dinner drinks and the odd BBQ.

We have two children, one 9 and one 16, they loved the fast internet speed and the selection of DVDs in the property, and also the Pokestop at the local church!

The local beach, with pristine water, is easily reached within 5 mins and was a bonus to enjoy a last minute dip in the evening, however, you can take a bus to the other beaches very easily from the bus station, 5 minutes walk from the property. In the port you will find numerous agents, where you can buy day cruises and ferry tickets giving easy access to the other islands.

Naxos town really comes alive in the evenings with many restaurants and bars, and if you love people watching this is definitely the place for you. Our favourite restaurants was the Italian Sue e giu, this made a welcome change, and also the Meze Greek restaurant, which was of a really high standard and great value, both of these were located on the sea front. However, if you were to stroll into the maze of the old town (2 mins from property) there you will find many excellent and good value restaurants.

I would recommend this house to my friends and family and will definitely book it again when i return to Naxos.

Perfect - even better the second time...

We visit Naxos a lot and stayed in this house last year.

House Fontana is a great house in a great location. Beautifully decorated with great attention to detail and - a must in this heat - new, high quality ac units in every room. The property was also spotlessly clean.

Possibly even better than the inside of the house is the large terrace leading from the living room. It is covered (essential in the heat) but partially open at the sides so wonderfully cool and light. I would also imagine the cover would offer full protection from the rain, although this isn't something we had to consider! There are a couple of steps from the terrace down to a small garden where it is possible to sit or lie in the sun for many hours each day.

Overall I can't praise this house and Naxos enough.

Fontana House

Having searched for several weeks to find suitable property on Naxos that met our requirements we chose Fontana House and on arrival we were not disappointed with our choice. We had our 4 year old son with us so wanted a quite safe location but in distance of the port and bus station plus restaurants.

The local beach was a 20 minute stroll to the east of the harbour and this was very family friendly. The Bus station and port was only a 5 minute walk from the house and the bus service had buses every 30 mins to the local beaches on the south side of the island. There are loads of ticket offices for day trips around the inland or to near by islands. All in all the house had all you required for your stay, very clean and the AC worked very well in all rooms. We would recommend this House to others, there is a book case with over 300 books for your use. There is a local supermarket 3 mins from the house on the way to the port. There are 3 great restaurant just towards the bottom of the road to the port very traditional Greek food.

Great central location

House Fontana is tucked away in a quiet spot but only steps away from the winding alleyways of Naxos Town. The house is very well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Very nicely funished. Great shower and bathroom.

The private terrace at the back of the property is a good size with BBQ etc for use. The only drawback for us was the permanent shade across the area which means we had no sunshine in the morning (stayed May) but this is probably the best place to be in July and August when the sun is strong and the temperature high. Certainly wouldn't stop us from booking again.

Janine (the Manager) was of great assistance, showing us how things worked etc on arrival.

We had a great stay in Naxos with a wide choice of restaurants, bars etc all within easy walking distance.
