Marine carpenter and boats mechanic in my yard in Saint-Malo for 37 years, I decided to move in 2006 after discovering the old farmhouse ruins in this beautiful Gers region. Becoming a bricklayer, an electrician, and a plumber, for 5 years I have renovated this large stone house that had considerable potential. In addition, the site is superb with a unobstructed view which we never get tired of. We enjoy the sun on the four facades from morning to night. It is really calm, no neighbours or nuisance of any kind. With my wife Christine, who helped me, we found peace without boring us. We find pleasure welcoming guests who are happy with us. Our four sons with their wives and children feel happy in this big comfortable house. In addition, we are the 'activity center' of our 11 grandchildren Grandma spoils outrageously. The 10 hectares of grassland are the delight of our horse, which is our second passion, for hiking. My third passion, with my son and my grandchildren, is paragliding at the top of the hill for learning and training. You spend magnificent flying hours in the Pyrenees. In addition, Gersoise kitchen with duck and all the wineries that surround us have replaced the seafood, Breton pancakes, and cider! Live in Gers without forgetting who welcomed us so nicely.

Why they chose this property

This area was completely unknown to us. Following the invitation of our sister who has a holiday home in Mirande (20 km away), we discovered this treasure. Suddenly, the two families come very often to this magical place that has charmed everyone. The comfort of the accommodation is not completely foreign to either!

What makes this property unique

The beauty of the site overlooking the Gers countryside with the Pyrenees in the background. The beautiful farmhouse built of stone, surrounded by nature without any nuisance, on a 17-hectare park. The pool and leisure facilities. The renovation was particularly good with a high level of comfort (3 stars approval by the Committee of tourism and leisure of Gers).
