The Cedars is a 5 bedroom Cedar Clad country lodge nestled amongst woodland on the prestigious Pullwood Bay Estate, making it a truly peaceful retreat. This unique property has been recently renovated and converted to an exceptional standard. The kitchen offers Neff appliances and a cosy fixed seating area. The large lounge dining space is equipped with a log burner, and french doors that lead out onto the patio. There is also a mezzanine above the lounge offering a second lounge area with comfy corner sofa and TV. There are 5 bedrooms three of which have ensuite bathrooms. The masterbed offers a large dressing room area and cosy seating area.

The nearby village of Ambleside has a wide array of restaurants, cafes, pubs, shops and galleries. The Cedars has lake access and is surrounded by the woodland and it's extensive wildlife. The Deer can be spotted wandering through the woods most days.

It has direct access to the Lake and Pull Woods, its the perfect property for a family holiday. If you are into walking many footpaths are accessible on foot from the property, we are also a short 2 min drive from the acclaimed Drunken Duck Inn! Please note the property has access to Pullwood Bay Estate grounds and the Lake but is not lake fronted.

Fabulous house

Spacious, well furnished and in very good condition. We would return to this property. Squeaky wooden floors upstairs makes it impossible to sneak to the loo in the middle of the night, but otherwise perfect.

Superb woodland lodge, great for families as very secluded and safe for kids to run free.

Highly recommended, beds are very comfy, use of private jetty for boat owns was brilliant as we traveled to Ambleside and Bowness daily by boat, far faster then driving and allowed for a few extra drinks! We will be back for sure next year..

a perfect house for a large party of mixed adults and children

We loved our house in the woods, within 3 minutes walk of Lake Windermere, with 4 bathrooms and 5 bedrooms for 6 adults and 4 girls, aged 6-12. The upper mezzanine made a perfect playroom, with its own television. Downstairs we watched the film of Swallows and Amazons, just right for the Lakes. The kitchen was lavishly equipped, though we never got to grips with the complicated coffee machine and the dishwasher was less than perfect. On the other hand, thank goodness for the efficient washer and dryer and the warm utility room. Our one time on which we reported a problem to Helen Smith it was sorted out right away. Certainly we will recommend this property and HomeAway to friends. And our 12-year-old said it was the best holiday ever!

Fabulous property in great location

Have just returned from our third annual family holiday in this property - our grandchildren aged 9, 7, 5 and 3 love going to 'their holiday house'. The outside space is extensive and only yards away from a jetty onto Lake Windermere where they go kayaking and swimming. The accommodation is perfect for our family of ten - it is very well stocked and everything we need is there. The decor is really nice and it is always very clean and well cared for.

The location is ideal and a good starting point for visiting all of our favourite places.

Customer care is excellent and Helen is very helpful and a pleasure to deal with - we are already planning next year's visit to this property.

Exceptional cottage quietly located near the lake

Fantastic property maintained to a very high and modern standard within a stone's throw from the lake and a short drive from lovely Ambleside town. Extremely well located for all the key Lake District attractions. The bedrooms are well equipped and bright. The living area is really the winner here with a cozy kitchen table and double height living area with open views of the woods. Heating, hot water, parking, kitchen appliances worked well! We had no complaints and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and look forward to returning some day!
