3 Bed/3 Bath Villa Close to Beach With Lagoon and Countryside Views

3 bedroom, 3 bathroom villa. the 2 upstairs bedrooms have private bathrooms with showers, the master bedroom also having a bath. Both of these bedrooms have private balconies with space to sit and enjoy.

The ground floor has a bedroom, a bathroom with shower and an open plan kitchen/dining room and lounge area.

The ground floor bedroom has patio doors which open on to the ground floor patio area.

The house has a private, heated swimming pool (6mx4m). Pool heating is available at additional cost.

Outside there is also a patio area with a charcoal barbecue, private parking and further grassed area on which to play or sit.

In addition to the barbecue, the patio area has 6 sun loungers, plus an extending wooden table and parasol with 6 chairs. There are further chairs and another small table, usually situated on the upstairs balconies.

The house has 2 adult bicycles and 2 child bicycles (one with 20" wheels, the other 16" wheels).

The kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, oven, fridge/freezer, a DeltaQ pod coffee machine, a filter coffee machine, a kettle and a toaster.

Nearby are the 3 beautifully landscaped golf courses of Royal Obidos (7 minutes drive), Bom Sucesso (12 minutes drive) and Praia D'EL Rey (12 minutes drive), each of which are designed to take advantage of the surrounding beauty of seaside, countryside and Obidos Lagoon.

The closest beach, Bom Sucesso, is approximately 5 minutes' drive away, where the restaurants Bica Da Lagoa and Edgars seem to be ever popular.

Legends Restaurant (7 minutes drive) at Royal Obidos is also worth a visit, as is Argento (12 minutes drive), which is located in a beautiful spot, overlooking the Atlantic coast on the North edge of Praia D'EL Rey. Another, more casual dining option is to visit the lagoon side bar, which is located near to the turning to the Bom Sucesso, where various activities, such as sup, kayak and lagoon boat rides can also be booked. More bicycles can be hired at the lagoon side bar or at the restaurant Rio Cortico Lagoa (Bom Sucesso beach).

For those who prefer to leave behind the calm waters of the lagoon beach and like to surf or simply to enjoy the larger waves of the Atlantic coast, the beach of Praia Rio Cortico (not to be confused with the similarly named restaurant at Bom Sucesso beach) is a nearby option. The renowned surfing resorts of Baleal and Peniche are also worth a visit.

Inland, the municipal park in Caldas Da Rainha has a nice play area for children and also shady places to walk and sit.

The Buddah Eden Garden in Carvalhal (near Bombarral) also makes for an enjoyable and memorable afternoon out, with the added bonus of being able to visit the wine shop, since it is located at the Bacalhoa Wines' Quinta dos Loridos.

There is a small shop at Bom Sucesso beach, a small supermarket at Prais D'El Rey and larger supermarkets located in Caldas Da Rainha or Obidos.

A visit to the historical, walled city of Obidos is also a must. There are many options for sightseeing, dining or simply to take coffee whilst enjoying the medieval architecture and watching the passers by. Obidos hosts several events, including medieval markets, which are usually held in July, a chocolate festival, the time of which varies and also Easter and Christmas events.

To the North, Coimbra is worthy of a trip (approximately 1hr 45 minutes drive), with some beautiful walks.

To the South, the sights of Lisbon and Sintra are about an hour away.

We love this area of Portugal. The countryside is green, the beaches are golden and the weather tends to be beautiful and bright, but rarely oppressively hot. the locals are friendly and welcoming.

What makes this villa unique

The house is spacious and airy, with a private pool. It's a great place to relax. We love to barbecue in the evenings, to walk or cycle to the beach, or to buy bread from the local bread-man who visits in the morning.

Beautiful villa - clean, well-equipped and maintained.

We loved the villa and had a lovely stay, despite there being some cloud and/or sea mist most mornings. However, every day - even if not ALL day - we were able to enjoy the comfortable garden and pool and sunshine. It is remote and a car is definitely needed, unless you're the sporty type who can cycle up and down the local inclines! The nearby lagoon is beautiful and there are friendly restaurants nearby - again, a car's ride. Nice area. Lovely holiday! Thank you!

Fantastic week in Portugal

We had a really fantastic stay at the vilia we really couldn't fault anything about our stay. The vilia was spotless very spacious had everything we needed. One day the power to the pool had gone off we called Paula who manages the Villia she dealt with it straight away and the pool man arrived within a hour.The gardens at the Villia were beautifuly keeped. When we contacted Jonathan the owner he got back to us very quickly and was very helpful and friendly. we will definitely book again in the future. Many thanks for some very special family time in relaxed surrounding priceless.

Fantastic villa and lovely location

As a family of four we found the villa exceeded our expectations and the kids loved it. From initial booking to finalising arrangements the owner was always available to answer any queries .The pool was great especially as we decided to heat it, which on a cloudy day was definitely worth it and it meant we could swim early morning and evenings when the outside temperature cooled.

Overall I would definite recommend staying at the villa for comfort and space. The area was quiet, just as we wanted, but not too far from the lagoon and restaurants.

excellent holiday accommodation

We have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at this property and although we have visited Portugal many times this was our first visit to the Silver Coast The villa is very well equipped complete with bicycles. The property is very well maintained with the pool and gardens well attended during our stay. Accommodation is exactly as described .The garden and pool offered endless entertainment and lots of sunbathing opportunities during a very pleasant spell of weather. We choose not to hire a car and instead utilized the services of taxi driver Jose as recommended by the owner.Jose was not just a taxi driver but our own personal guide to the Silver Coast. Restaurants at Bom Successo beach were within walking distance and definitely worth a visit. Obidos and Peniche are definitely worth visiting.also. If we visit this area again we will consider hiring a car.

Family holiday in Portugal

The villa, garden and pool was very spacious and extremely well equipped and maintained. The surrounding area is beautiful with amazing beaches that were safe for the children to swim in at the lagoon. The local towns are picturesque and historically interesting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the owners were extremely helpful and lovely to deal with.

A lovely clean, spacious house with everything needed for a great holidy.

The house is in an ideal position to enjoy the wonderful beaches on the Silver Coast. We were glad that the pool was heated so that we could use it at all times even though it was early in the season. This was our first visit to this area and I am sure we will be back.
