Enjoyable stay

  • 4 of 5

Stayed with family for a week in June. Great size and even though there were 9 of us did not feel cramped. Weather was not the best but we still used the pool and ate outside.

The layout in terms of the kitchen could be better and the oven which is gas is not very good so put on well in advance so it gets reasonably hot. The stairs to the mezzanine level were very narrow which was a worry if you needed the loo in the night as the toilets are on the ground floor.

Owner left some of her excellent white wine for us to purchase which at 3 euro 50 cents was a bargain. Loved it and have ordered some back home from a local wine merchant

A car is essential and the journey from Bergerac airport was very straightforward. Also we had an excellent meal at La Terrasse in Duras

Overall I would recommend this property.

Quiet, beautiful, relaxing and fun!

  • 5 of 5

As quiet as you wish and on the other hand lots of fun inside the house and outside the house. Only a few cars (2 or 3) come by per day. The owners are nice people, we enjoyed a good wine tasting afternoon at the winery of the owners. The house was clean and very well maintained. Lovely views, nice BBQ place, good pool, The petanque was super nice, yes we will or would for sure recommend this place!

Quiet and peaceful, the ideal getaway

  • 5 of 5

The accommidation was beautiful, clean, spacious and well equipped. The private pool was ideal with little ones and the seclusion made it feel really safe. It's the ideal place for families and friends.

A wonderful place to relax

  • 4 of 5

We spent a lovely week here in July 2015. The photo shows the view of the house from the other side of the pool, but the view from the oppostite direction, over the pool and of the vineyards, is just beautiful. It's such a relaxing place. It is HUGE, and was lovely and clean, nice decor. The layout is a bit unorthodox, with two single bedrooms on a mezzanine floor, but in fact we all fitted into the three double bedrooms. There's not that much to do nearby, unless you're keen to venture into Bordeaux, or are really into wine, but this just made it extra relaxing - we didn't feel we were missing out on tons of attractions and were happy to enjoy the house and pool, the petanque piste, the table tennis and the snooker table.

Owner's Response: Carolyn. Thanks very much for taking the time to review your stay at Jubin and we are delighted that you had such a good time. We will endeavour to take more external photo's of the views to help show future guests. We note your comments that there is not much to do locally, there are lots of interesting places to visit including ancient bastide towns, chateau, a fresh water lake with beach, kayaking and wine tours to name a few, I will double check that the owner supplies sufficient information at the house to help guests get the most out of their stay, however as you say it is a lovely spot to just relax, take it easy and enjoy the facilities provided at Jubin. Thanks again. David & Tracy
