The Sundial is a beautiful 5 bed property on the seafront in Lyme Regis

The Sundial is a beautiful iconic Grade II Listed Arts and Crafts house

situated on the sea front in Lyme Regis overlooking the Cobb and harbour

with stunning panoramic views across Lyme Bay taking in

Golden Cap and Portland.

The mesmerising views and glorious light serve to

enhance a lovely house which is as special and iconic as its

setting. Listed Grade II as being of Significant Architectural

Importance and Historic Interest, there is a wealth of charming

period detail, from the window catches, stonework, to the

beautiful and unique plaster ceiling motifs, a particular feature

of the house.

There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. A kitchen with an AGA and separate dining and living rooms.

Perfect location along the sea front - a wonderful character house with stunning views

The house is beautiful and the location along the sea front can't be beaten! We stayed for four nights nights - a family group of 9 (7 adults, 2 children) age range from 7 to 80. There was plenty of room for everyone. Given that it is a tall house be mindful of the stairs and also the room layouts as some adjoin each other / one of the bathrooms. The walk up to get the cars from the main car park is pretty steep so we 'volunteered' the youngsters to get them and drive them down the hill to pick up us oldies! We all agreed this is one of the loveliest holiday homes we've stayed in and would love to go back. Mark, the owner, is super helpful - also he lives locally so is on hand if needed.

Sundial - a spacious and modern historic home

Our large party of eight enjoyed the spacious, comfortable bedrooms and updated kitchen. It's location on the beachfront Marine Parade in Lyme Regis places everything within walking distance including restaurants, shopping, buses and convenient parking. Our group loves hiking and fossil hunting so we could walk out the door and very soon be on the Southwest Coastal Path. The house is an architectural gem and you can relax in the evening to the sound of the surf!

Beautiful house and location!

We had a great time in Lyme Regis. The location of the house is great, beautiful views and close to shops and restaurants. I recommend setting up a Fossil walk through the museum on your trip.

Return visit to a wonderful house in perfect location

This was a return visit having stayed last June. The house was as lovely as I remembered and views just as amazing. Very well equipped, comfortable and some nice additions with the garden and front terrace having had some work on it since our last visit. Can't beat the location to make the most of a visit to Lyme Regis. We found lots to do - great guided walks from the museum. Good choice of restaurants too. Everyone catered for!
