Brand new lovely 3-bedroom villa with views of the hills and ocean, sunny area

Located below Estreito da Calheta, with nearby access to the expressways for ease of exploring Madeira, in a quiet countryside location and with great views of the green hills and ocean, the beautifully appointed Villa Rouge is 3-bedroomed property that offers everything you may seek in a villa holiday.

Light airy and ample, and benefiting from views to the sea, the living space has a very comfortable seating area with cable flat screen TV and wi-fi, a dining table for 6 and an open-plan kitchen.

All bedrooms are on the first floor and open onto a large front balcony with wonderful views. The Master bedroom is spacious and features an en-suite shower room. There is a further double bedroom and twin-bedded bedroom that shares the family bathroom.

The pool is perfectly positioned to catch the sun, and is surrounded by glass panels, allowing you to appreciate those lovely views whilst swimming. The surrounding deck is furnished with sunbeds and leads to the fantastic built-in barbecue with outdoor eating facilities

There is free wi-fi connection throughout the Villa

A large garage offers secure parking for three cars

Ein sehr schönes Ferienhaus.

Ein sehr modernes und super eingerichtetes Ferienhaus. Wir haben es mit zwei Paaren genutzt, dafür ist es sehr großzügig gebaut. Ein super Service von der Buchung bis zum Empfang am Haus. Unser Fazit ist. absolut Empfehlenswert.

Ein Hinweis an den Vermieter, die Pumpe für das Wasser in der oberen Etage funktioniert nicht immer zuverlässig.

Six Stars - went beyond expectations

I would whole heartedly recommend this property. much bigger than it looks in photos, spotlessly clean, ample storage, great owner communication, we wanted for nothing. Little unexpected gems are the garage under the house to keep your car cool, the sound system in every room including the pool area - a particular favourite, electric shutters on all upstairs rooms, pool towels supplied, 5 mins by car to great supermarket and lovely row of restaurants by the marina. I could go on.

We went with kids 10 and 13, who both loved the pool and the lounge area for chilling. Wifi only seems to work downstairs but this is a great excuse for getting teenagers out of bed!

I would recommend a car for this property as not much is walkable (shop and snack bar which is useful) but so much more is a short/medium drive away.

This is a touch of luxury with beautiful finishes and space for everyone.

Fabulous 5* villa in great location

The villa was fantastic and the photos don't give justice to the amount of space the downstairs open plan living space has. A very well stocked fitted kitchen and a supply of things like salt/oil that are always valuable if you are cooking. BBQ outside was also used on many occasions. Upstairs is spacious and the master has an ensuite. It is all so modern and well thought out. Getting in and out of the garage was initially a challenge but we soon got to used to it!

The pool was the cleanest we had ever had - beautiful set up outside and actually more private than we had first thought when we arrived.

Views are great and you are less than 10 minutes drive away from a cafes and a mini supermarket. We would fully recommend!

The nearest facilities (a café/snack bar and chemist) are a mere 200 metres away, and closer to the village you can find a couple of mini-markets.

It is 2 Km to the resort town of Calheta, with its man-made golden sandy beach. Here you will, find a selection of cafés, restaurants, a larger supermarket, the marina (boat trips can be arranged), banks and a chemist.

A 5-minute drive will take you to either of the two surfing meccas of Jardim do Mar and Paul do Mar, at sea level and with trendy café-bars (try the caipirinhas).

Funchal is an easy 35-minute drive and the airport less than 50 minutes along the motorway.
