We throughly enjoyed our weekend stay rediscovering the beautiful Gower peninsula. A lovely welcome by Sharon who was on hand if needed. The house was spotlessly clean, we would not hesitate to recommend or indeed return to in the future.
The property was immaculate, extremely comfortable and very well positioned.
This property is beautiful. It is decorated and maintained to a very high standard and has all the comforts you need for a lovely holiday. It has a perfect location on the cliffs for walking and exploring the area. Sharon (the owner) is lovely. She will meet you and show you round and is on hand nearby for anything else you may need during your stay. If you are wanting to visit this area, I would highly recommend this property.
Lovely location. Spotlessly clean. warm welcome
Great location. Could have found better places to eat so more local info. would be welcome. Accurate description of property. Would recommend the property but think very weather dependent. We were lucky
Immaculately presented and very comfortable
Lovely location on the beautiful south coast of the Gower. Property in excellent condition throughout and Sharon made us very welcome indeed. There are stunning beaches, numerous walks, castles galore and many excellent restaurants and pubs all within easy reach. We would recommend around Mumbles in particular for restaurants.
Comfortable stay in stunning location
We stayed for a long weekend and were very impressed by the quality of the furnishings and the facilities provided in the property which we found was reflected accurately in the photos and description and was immaculately clean. Sharon was a very welcoming host who made us feel right at home straightaway and gave us a much appreciated bottle of wine. Although the bedrooms were not huge, they were very comfortable and we were able to fit a travel cot in the double bedroom.
The surrounding area was quiet and the scenery stunning. Although we had mixed weather, when it was good it was very very good and there was plenty to do even in the rain. Mumbles is a charming spot and there is plenty on offer in Swansea. If staying longer, there is plenty more to visit within easy travelling distance. We can recommend Caswell Bay for a pleasant sunny afternoon, although our granddaughter was not sure about the feel of sand on her bare feet - she's 18 months old! However, the cows in the field next to the property saved her holiday as she absolutely loved them.
The cafe at the top of the road by the National Trust car park served delicious ice creams, including one called Cow Mix which was a lot nicer than it sounded!! And there is also a shop there which sells every day essentials together with other local and souvenir items. We enjoyed a very good roast dinner at a pub in Bishopston and I am not often impressed by pub roast lunches. I usually find them rather plastic but this one was extremely tasty and the meat very tender.
This was our first stay in The Gower and we thoroughly enjoyed it and would happily consider returning. Everyone we met was very welcoming and friendly. It's a beautiful area and well worth a visit.
An immaculate and very attractive property
Sharon was a very welcoming host and was very helpful when we arrived. The house was immaculate and well-equipped, and very comfortable if a little warm upstairs with all we needed to make our stay a pleasure, including a very nice bottle of wine. There is plenty to do in the neighbourhood whatever the weather as we found out even though we were only there for 3 days. The scenery at the house and around the Gower is delightful and the cows in the field next door made the holiday very special for our small granddaughter. Caswell Bay was beautiful on the Sunday (the best day weatherwise of the stay) and we had a very nice roast lunch at a pub in Bishopston. The café/stores at the top of the road was well-stocked and sold delicious ice cream, especially the 'cowmix'!! The Gower is a beautiful part of the world and we shall be very happy to visit again.
