This is a truly Beautiful villa with stunning views of the Monchique Mountains, olive groves, & surrounding countryside in Albufeira. Peaceful & scenic location, yet minutes to all beaches, amenities by car/bus/taxi or bike! A welcoming 'home from home' villa, a more sophisticated decor/furnishings, all amenities, beautiful private pool, & views to dream about! It's all about outside space when in sunny climes, & this villa has just that & more! Sophisticated decor inside & out, yet retaining Portuguese charm! The two main bedrooms lead down a beautiful curved stone tile staircase from the lounge to the ground floor. The master bedroom is a very large room with a walk in dressing room with plenty of space for your holiday clothes, & on the main wall a bespoke custom made shoe hanging cabinet, as well as a bespoke handbag cabinet! Remote control air contioning. The large en suite has a jacuzzi bath, his & her sinks, bidet, WC/shower. Two sets of double patio doors lead out to the wonderful swimming pool, & an L shaped cushioned rattan settee with coffee table all covered by an awning for shade. Bedroom 2 has two 3 foot beds, walk in dressing room, plenty of storage space, large bathroom with a bath, & overhead shower, bidet/WC. One set of patio doors lead out to a bistro coffee table overlooking the pool! The third bedroom is on the main floor, & is a good sized room with a queen sized bed, & has an en suite. At the rear of the villa there is a very well shaded area with a huge tree as can be seen in the photos, & an awning extending from the outdoor kitchen. The villa has an abundance of seasonal fruit trees, bananas, oranges, tangerines, lemons all year, peaches, pomegranates, & olives.There is an outside fully equipped kitchen to the rear of the property with an original coal pizza/bread oven, gas BBQ, & lots of space for entertaining. The outdoor kitchen is accessed by a sliding metal shutter, & there is an awning outside for shaded eating. The kitchen has a sink, worktop units, lots cupboard space, washing machine, electric hob, & further into the kitchen a door leads into a workshop & the pool room. There is plenty of shade by way of awnings, terraces, tree shade, & verandas. The swimming pool has gentle steps easing you into it, the pool is not heated, but is maintained by a professional pool man once a week, as well as a gardener. The villa has air conditioning in the lounge, the master bedroom, & bedroom 2, bedroom 3 has a ceiling fan. A travel cot is available if needed. The villa is accessed by electric gates, & a pedestrian gate. There is a swimming pool changing area in the wooden house by the pool, & an outside shower for cooling off. We have neighbours on either side, & over the road, we are not isolated or secluded, the villa just faces the fields

Large open plan lounge/dining area. 2 seven foot leather settees, plasma 32 inch tv, DVD player for movies, wi fi, cd/stereo system, 6 seater dining table. Air conditioning, stone tiled floor, amazing uninterrupted views to countryside.

Please bring your own DVD's of your choice.

Other:

Walk out wrap around balcony with 2 separate doors leading out. Coffee table & 2 rattan easy chairs to unwind, have early morning coffee, & fall in love with that view over a gin & tonic come early evening! The sunsets here are sensational!

Cleaning/Towels/Linen/Maid service once every 7 days.

All towels & linen provided free of charge. Your own beach towels must be washed by yourselves, not for maid laundry service.

Linen & towel change once a week.

Beach towels are not supplied. Can be bought cheap locally either in supermarkets or at the beach. You must wash your own beach towels, not included in the price. There is a washing machine in the outdoor kitchen, & an abundance of hanging washing lines, & plenty of pegs -dries very quickly in the sun!

The villa was built for the view & the living accommodation is upstairs, & 2 bedrooms are downstairs, apart from bedroom 3 on the main floor. There are lots of steps accessing all areas to this property, especially outside, therefore not suitable for people with mobility problems or wheelchairs...

At the front of the house are 2 lawns, & a large car port accommodating 2 cars, electric gates & ca pedestrian gate gaining access.

There is an abundance of outside space & eating areas, & areas of privacy if needed. There are already erected washing lines to hang your clothes at the rear of the property.

About The Owner

We bought this property as soon as we saw it, with other buyers queuing eagerly wanting to purchase it also. We instantly fell in love as soon as we opened the front door, & saw the view we keep mentioning, & the vast expanse of the lounge! We especially loved the spaciousness of the property inside & out, & the beautiful landscaped outdoor areas. As well as our walk in wardrobes, huge master bedroom, & bedroom 2, & we also have a very large annexe too! We love the fact it is contemporary, even the pool shape, our beautiful cactus plants stand proud by the pool, & our well established & high yielding fruit trees, even the banana tree has a great crop of the most sweetest, with a hint of lemon bananas! The view is interesting all year round, in February the fields are lush & green, you will see the shepherd herding his sheep, & yet in July it takes on a almost desert look, (stunning backdrop by our cactus plants!) still picturesque to look at with the scattered olive trees. We even own our very own flourishing, very old lovely olive tree!

All of this, coupled with the fact we are close to some of the very best restaurants, from Michelin 2 starred to cheap & cheerful, but so very good! The beaches are minutes for us in the car, & are just sublimely stunning, this is why we purchased our lovely villa! We hope you love it as much as us!

Relaxing holiday in a beautiful villa - home from home

We have just returned from a fantastic 2 week stay in Villa Gabriela. This is a very spacious villa, clean and freshly painted. The outdoor space is huge and there are plenty of sunbeds and room around the pool to relax. They two main bedrooms are on the same level as the pool which we found really useful and the views from all levels of the villa are outstanding. The villa is built within a friendly and safe community but backs onto fields so feels very private. There is a lovely balcony we used frequently for eating breakfast or having a drink as the sun set. The villa has everything you would possibly need for a home from home holiday. The outdoor kitchen is really useful if you choose to have meals within the villa. It also has a washing machine and plenty of drying space.

We hired a car for our stay but you can walk to a small town called Pateo within 15min. We frequently stopped at a lovely cafe that had the most delicious coffee and pastries, very cheap too. The other side of the cafe had fantastic views of the marina and Old Town. We even walked into Old Town on numerous occasions which is about another 15min walk from Pateo and caught taxis back which are fairly cheap. Great choice of restaurants and atmosphere in Old Town - if you like Italian we recommend Riccados which is near the sea front.

We had six people staying at the villa and there was more than enough room to avoid that feeling of falling over each other's feet that we have experienced in other properties - you will not feel cramped at this villa, even around the pool. There is also plenty of shade and the air conditioning is very good. The pool and gardens were cleaned twice during our stay. Beds and towels were changed half way through.

Would we return? Absolutely! Portugal was stunning and staying here made it even more worthwhile. Thank you!

Superb time at this exquisite villa!

We had a lovely holiday here in March! The villa is superb, very impressive, beautiful, it's top notch inside! Very clean, everything you need is here! We had long days out, then tranquil evenings by the pool or on the balcony! The BBQ is great & outdoor kitchen area is very nice! Swimming pool & gardens immaculate & well maintained! Lots of nice restaurants nearby, & great walks along the cliff tops, lots of water sports available too. We used lots of lemons from the trees, & the oranges too! Thank you for a fab holiday, & all your help!

beautiful during the day, barking dogs ruined it at night

villa was beautiful in general, during the day was fine, when the sun went down it became a nightmare from sunset to sunrise the dogs in the surrounding villas barked loudly many times throughout the night making it difficult to sleep as you could still hear them clearly from all the bedrooms in the villa in fact it was that loud it sounded like they were in the villa with you! it was impossible to sit out on the balcony and relax in the evenings as you couldn't hear each other speak due to the noise of the barking dogs which drove you insane after a while of sitting out there. it is hard to believe that the reviews did not mention the barking dogs!

Also we were unable to make use of the dishwasher as everytime it was switched on it tripped the electrics even after tracey called out an engineer it still didn't work.

We certainly have no control over any dogs in the neighbourhood or in the distance barking. We love our beautiful villa & enjoy our holidays there immensely. We feel we did everything in our power to help you have a good holiday, even so far as our manager taking you to the shops to get baby food when you arrived, sending you numerous informative emails before the holiday that all went unanswered etc. We received no complaint from you by email or telephone whilst you were there, & neither did HomeAway, & you stayed the full 7 nights. As we say we are sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. We wish you our best wishes & success in your next rental holiday. Thank you.

Fantastic!

We stayed at villa Gabriella for 10 days and had a fantastic time. The house was beautiful. The pool was fantastic. We hired cars and were able to visit all the local beaches and restaurants. The villa is in a quiet residential area and very private. The owner Elizabeth was very helpful with all enquiries. I hope to visit again next year.

“Hi, I’m writing to say that we had a wonderful 12 days at Villa (1724391) in Albufeira. The villa is beautifully finished with all the amenities, including that refreshing pool. The view from the balcony over looking the olive groves was a source of tranquil relaxation after busy days of beaches and visiting the local towns of Villamoura, Loule and Lagos (all within an easy drive).

This is golfers paradise territory, so many stunning courses to choose from. Dolphin world is nearby in Guia. The roads are very quiet in this area, as you are away from the crowds, so mountain bikes are an option for exploring as well as a car.

How to get there

Faro Airport transfer 45 minutes to villa. We can arrange private transfers to collect you from the airport, meet & greet service at a reasonable cost. Car hire can be obtained directly from the airport. As we said before, we would highly recommend a car to get the most from the villa, but not essential as bus stop at top of road, taxis etc.

Distances

Supermarket 2 mins in car Pateo. 15 minutes if walking.

Fresh fishmongers 5 mins in car.

Guia 10 mins in car.

Gale less than 10 mins in car.

Great Portuguese supermarket 5-8 mins in car, ( not walkable, as very steep hill on return), next to fishmongers.

Further Details

Car is highly recommended for this property to really enjoy the villa, & the area, although there is a bus stop 5 minutes walk out of the residential road, & there are very reasonable taxis. Bike hire can also be considered. It is approx 15 minutes to Pateo walking, there is no pavement as such, just pebbly... A chemist is walking distance of approximately 10 minutes.

House swap

A house swap would be considered for a week of a similar calibre property to this anywhere in Europe.
