A beautiful and rural cottage. Somewhere to enjoy true peace and quiet.

Nadine and Guy were the perfect hosts and the house was in a wonderful location. We were all made to feel very welcome. The cottage was comfortable and clean. If you enjoy being away from the WIFI then this is the place for you. Lovely rural area. Lake Ramade was great for daily swimming and there’s a lovely little cafe set up there this year (2018), but no toilets, so come prepared! Crocq was well worth a visit, as was Mount Dore and the lake at Chambon for swimming. We preferred the little beach at the far side of the lake, as it was a little quieter, but the first beach has lots for the kids to do.

Séjour au grand calme…

Très bon séjour de deux mois dans une charmante petite maison malheureusement dans très mal isolée pour l’hiver, à moins de consommer énormément d’énergie pour la chauffer chose difficile vu la période que nous traversons tous. J’ai eu la mauvaise surprise au début de mon séjour de subir un début d’incendie dans le conduit de cheminée. Intervention d’urgence des pompiers de Giat à 22 heure, la cheminée n’avait pas été ramonée depuis plus d’un an et demi …ouf j’ai risqué le pire!!! d’après la propriétaire, qui m’a répondu que ce n’était pas grave car ils sont couverts par leur assurance. 😅 aucune d’excuses de leur part!!! A la fin de mon séjour la propriétaire m’a demandé si il était possible que je la paye en espèces … ne voulant pas déclarer mon deuxième mois de location à Abritel. J’ai trouvé cela gonflé vu le passif de l’incendie et sans me proposer aucunes contrepartie… Bref certains propriétaires se trouvent des ailes quand il s’agit d’amasser de l’argent mais en terme de sécurité, propreté ( poubelles des toilettes et salle de bain pleine a mon arrivée !!) n’ont aucun scrupules… En bref passez votre route…

Fantastic!

The house is cozy and well equipped. The hosts are very kind and generous. And the surroundings, close (Limousin) and a bit further (Volcans d'Auvergne) are absolutely fantastic. We had a great time!

Very nice location

We stayed one week in the Guy's and Nadine's house. It is a very beautiful and relaxed location with a lot of things to do and see (though you need to be prepared a drive a bit). The arrival was very friendly and welcoming. The interior is a bit 'rustic' If you like to relax and rest or do some walking this is the place to be.
