Situated near Galashiels in the heart of the Scottish Borders. In the centre of the 2000 acre family farm called Blackhaugh, which has been in the same family for nearly 200 years. The house is named after a world record price Cheviot Tup ( male breeding ram) sold in 1920 for a record breaking £1200 guineas

Dignity sit's within it's own grounds with private parking. Gardens are maintained regularly. There is a lovely view from the patio garden, where you can make use of the charcoal barbecue and picnic bench. Cool boxes and picnic ware is available, if you want to take advantage of the many beautiful border walks - there are maps and details of walks printed off, or if you would rather, walk to the loch with a picnic and try to catch a wild brown trout. One of the Border cycle routes passes by the road end. ( Edinburgh is within easy reach (32 mile away). Galashiels is 6 miles away with 24 hr Tesco, Asda, a Marks and Spencers simply food shop, cinema, swimming pool and parks.

Dignity sleeps up to 8 adults and one infant.

The open plan kitchen is spacious and fully kitted out relax over dinner, sitting at a beautiful oak table admiring the view through the large arched window. It boasts an electric range cooker and an American larder fridge/ freezer. There is also a wireless digital music system., to be hooked into and of course free BT homehub wireless internet. there are plenty of indoor board games, books and DVD's as well as electric piano and a guitar.

Dignity boast 2 living rooms, ideal for family parties of different ages. Both with flatscreen TV's/ DVD players

All bedrooms have ample clothes storage, mirrors, hairdryers, bedside cabinets.

The Scottish Borders Area

Dignity is situated in a secluded valley 6 miles from Galashiels and 8 miles from Selkirk, in the Central Borders. It carries a sense of peace and seclusion, and yet are so close to the many attractions within the Borders.

Dignity makes the ideal base from which to explore all that this beautiful area has to offer, whether it be the world class fishing on the nearby river Tweed, a round of golf on one of the many golf courses, or a day spent at Glentress (just over the hill and one of the best mountain bike trails in the country). For those requiring something less energetic, the Borders has an abundance of country houses and castles to visit and explore, with Bowhill and Abbotsford both within 10 miles.

Refundable Damage Deposit £300

Bookings are accepted for a minimum period of three days. Changeovers are normally Monday - Friday .
A binding contract will exist once a deposit is paid.
Only those persons named on the booking form are entitled to stay in the accommodation, the total number in the party shall not exceed the advertised capacity.
We cannot accept bookings from anybody under 18 years of age.
A non returnable deposit of 30% of the rental amount is payable with each booking. The remainder of the rent plus a fully refundable household deposit of £300 will become due six weeks prior to your arrival. If paying via card this will be "held- not deducted" by the card company until a week after your departure.
The household deposit helps to cover the cost of any damage or breakage’s in or to the accommodation. This deposit will be refunded one week after the holiday as long as there has been no damage or loss and the accommodation has been left clean and tidy.
For your safety and comfort we operate a strict no smoking policy within the house.
Pets by prior arrangement only. Up to 2 well behaved dogs are welcome, they can stay in the utility rooms which have adjustable underfloor heating. Dogs are not allowed upstairs and are not allowed on furniture downstairs. The cost is £25 per dog. Please do not leave pets unattended in the properties.
Electricity is included in the cost of your rental with a supply of logs. If additional logs are required, contact details of local suppliers are in the hand book.
Towels and bed linen are supplied.
Whilst children are welcome to explore the surrounding gardens and woodland we advise that they are supervised at all times, particularly younger children. We will not be held responsible or liable for any accidents which occur.

Situated in the middle of a 2000 acre stock farm, in it's own valley, hidden away from the rest of the world, yet only 10 minutes from the train station to take guests into the centre of Edinburgh within 45 minutes, or 6 miles into Galashiels. Very well located for many of the Border Historic Houses, golf courses, walks and cycling routes.
