Very young babies are welcome and a travel cot and high chair can be provided. Children of any age must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
No floatation devices such as lilos, inflatable boats or similar to be used in the pool by children without responsible adult supervision due to the potential to float over the sheer edge of the infinity pool.

About Joanna Robertson

Joanna Robertson purchased this villa in 2015
Why Joanna Robertson chose Lycian & Turquoise Coast
I'd never been to Turkey before 2013, but was wanting to buy a holiday home in a beautiful location that wasn't over developed and was easily accessible from the UK so started doing online research. Turkey was not my destination of choice until i read about Kalkan; there were loads of articles in praise of the place all noting that it was more sophisticated than other Turkish "resorts" and that it was the type of place that people who loved Tuscany would enjoy.
I decided we had to visit for ourselves and in February 2013 we headed over to Dalaman. The estate agent showing us around told us he thought we should see other areas as well to get a fuller appreciation of what was on offer as well as Kalkan, so he took us to Fethiye, Çalis Beach, Overçik - none of which "did it" for us at all and we were convinced we were not going to buy in Turkey. And then we rounded the mountain and looked down on Kalkan Bay........ and instantly fell for that view! Kalkan's quaint charms and the quality of the villas themselves were wonderful and we knew if we liked it so much in February then it could only get better during the warmer months! We concluded the purchase of our lovely Villa JaySea in May 2013 and have never looked back, we love it - but it's been so popular we decided to get another villa and so became the very proud owners of the even more gorgeous Villa Amycha in May 2015 . We absolutely love its cool crisp style, it's easy layout, the incredible views, and the huge terrace and infinity pool.
What makes this villa unique
Villa Amycha sits on a 700m plot so the terrace is huge which was a big attraction.
It already had the amazing 50m infinity pool with sunbathing areas on 3 sides but we knew that there was also plenty of space to install a large marble bar for entertaining.... which now looks fab.
We also added pool heating (don't know how anyone can enjoy using an unheated pool, particularly in low and mid seasons but we also heat it in high season - just makes the place so much more inviting!) The views from the terrace are incredible but these views are also viewed from every room in the villa with the exception of the single room (which has mountain views)
We love to really relax on holiday and though the privacy of a private villa suits our requirements we do like the luxury of hotel type offerings: someone else making the beds, cleaning the bathrooms, preparing breakfast and clearing it away and we also like to know that we don't have to carry over hairdryers or bathroom amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, hand cream etc so we decided that all these things would be included for our guests too.

The best villa we have ever stayed in 😎
Joanna was so helpful at getting everything organised for us. Villa was amazing with a fantastic view and more than we could have dreamed of. Would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family. Can't wait to visit again. The couple looking after us where fantastic making lovely breakfasts and nothing was too much trouble. Kalkan town is so pretty with lots of restaurants and shops. 😀😀
Absolutely stunning villa and location, a hidden gem in Kalkan & highly recommended
Wow, wow and wow again. We’ve just returned from a week in Villa Amycha and what a holiday! The villa is even more spectacular than the pictures and Joanne really has thought of everything including all the finishing touches. This really is a special place which I would thoroughly recommend to anyone. The villa has lots of space, all the amenities you can think of and even some you can’t.
Inside is beautifully decorated with lots of space and cleaned daily by Joanna’s team. My nephews 4 and 2 made full use of the Wi-Fi to watch films when they needed a break from the heat and full use of the games room and all the pool inflatables provided. And that pool, with that view, it really was like being in a dream. The Jacuzzi was put to daily use by all of us and was great to relax with a drink or two in the evening. From start to finish Joanna has been amazing, she is really responsive to emails, and couldn’t be more helpful organising our transfers, massages on the first day, a chef to cook for us, booked our boat trip and even organised a birthday cake for us. She even managed to accommodate a late check out. Everything Joanna organised went seamlessly and her recommendations couldn’t have been better.
We had Chef Kazim to cook for us at the villa and I am so glad we did this. (He is an amazing cook, we wish we had booked him for more than once). As we had the two young boys with us he suggested a BBQ for our main mean and the boys loved it. All the food was delicious and he has some Kazim specials which you really must try. He literally comes to the villa, cooks your meal, serves it to you and even cleans up afterwards!
The extra touches such as Joanna’s team (Kadir and Ayfer) who came daily to clean and cook breakfast are really what makes this such a special holiday. It’s the beauty of a villa with the luxury of a hotel. The location of the villa gives unspoilt spectacular views of Kalkan (particularly sunrise and sunset) and the harbour and we made good use of the recommend driver (Ian) to drive us to and from harbour. It costs us about £3 each way which is nothing (and those hills are hard work after an Efes or two) and he was really good with the children even taking a less bumpy route home with they had fallen asleep.
All in all a magical holiday in a beautiful villa made all the more special by Joanna and her team. Thanks so much Joanna, I’ll be in touch soon to book for next year!
Natalie and family xx
LUXURY VILLA IN A BEAUTIFUL LOCATION
We have just returned home after the most wonderful week's holiday in Villa Amycha. WOW! The villa is amazing and Jo, the owner, went the extra mile to make sure our every need was catered for. The villa itself is beautifully laid out with amazing views. Immaculately kept by the lovely husband and wife team who come in to clean every day and who couldn't be more helpful. Our holiday began the moment we arrived as the villa information brochure told us everything we needed to know in great detail. We took advantage of the local taxi driver, tried and tested restaurants and explored the surrounding bays by boat. Fabulous! Kalkan itself is unspoilt and the local people are very friendly and there's not a chain store or KFC in sight! Long may that continue. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a luxury villa in a fabulous location. So much so that we have booked again for next year only this time for 2 weeks. Thanks again Jo - you made our holiday.
Perfect villa in an excellent location.
From first contact with Joanna we felt that this was going to be a fantastic holiday and we were not disappointed. The villa was beautiful, well equipped and spotlessly clean, this combined with ample space for eight adults and views over Kalkan to die for made it a very special experience for us all.
The airport transfers were seamless, Ian the taxi driver in Kalkan couldn't have been more efficient or helpful, we had Kazim the chef cook for us on three nights and again we couldn't fault the service or more importantly the food, which was fabulous.
Everything you need including local information is at hand on arrival and a quick glance through the visitor's book leaves you in little doubt that you really have found a little piece of paradise.
I would highly recommend people to rent this villa and look forward to the next time I can visit.
Wow! Well what can we say......From the moment we stepped off the plane everything was organised to perfection! Transfers organised by Joanna were stress free, provided with ice cold bottles of water (just what we needed after stepping into 38 degree heat!) and a comfortable 1 hr 45 min journey to Kalkan. We arrived at Villa Amycha and were greeted by Kadir, although he doesn't speak much English he was charming, friendly and managed to tell us everything we needed to know.
Joanna has thought of everything from the daily fresh bread delivery, the scented toilet rolls and even the toiletries and additional essentials were such a lovely touch. Waking up to that stunning view every morning was as breathtaking on the last day as it was on the first.
Ayfer (our lovely daily help) was an absolute gem! The villa was spotlessly clean and she maintained it beautifully. The beds/towels were all changed after our first week. All the amenities were great for our boys, wifi, the pool table, air hockey, table tennis and XBox, only 2 games there though so take your favourite ones from home (if you really feel the need to stay indoors!!) Air conditioning was such a blessing as it was almost 40 degrees.
Kalkan is such a beautiful place, we can honestly say that we have never ever met such lovely, friendly and helpful people. We instantly fell in love with the place itself and the people. So unspoilt and charming, who wouldn't love this place?! And WOW what fabulous restaurants! So so hard to choose a favourite so we'll give you a few that we feel are worth a visit. Kalamaki, Doy-Doy (on the harbour) their steaks are amazing, Sade and Gormet.
We had the fabulous opportunity of Kazim cooking for my birthday celebrations, "Chef's at Home" (organised by Joanna) If you are fortunate enough to be able to book him (he gets so so busy and only had 1 slot available, how lucky were we?!) this was one of the highlights of our holiday. The food was outstanding, so delicious..... He even popped in the day after, as he was passing by and brought us some strawberries :)
What a lovely gent, he even joined us for a small glass of wine.
As we said in the title.....Absolute perfection! Thank you so so much for making it so special for our families.
Incredible stay in five star luxury yet again!
Just as wonderful as last time, we love Villa Amycha and look forward to our next visit. Everything you could possibly want, need and wish for in a holiday rental, in a stunning location, run by an extraordinary lady with exquisite attention to detail, genuine care for her guest's experience and a love for the town of Kalkan and it's people. Will be back...

Activity and Interests
A small peaceful Mediterranean resort and fishing town on the beautiful Turquoise Coast of Turkey, Kalkan has not been touched by mass tourism. More sophisticated than the usual resort town, Kalkan appeals to travelers looking for more than a “sun and sea” holiday.
Narrow streets twist down to the harbour, lined with old whitewashed villas with shuttered windows situated alongside small local specialty shops and restaurants in historic buildings. Overhead hang original carved Ottoman Greek timber balconies garlanded with thick masses of brilliantly coloured bougainvillea cascading to the streets below. It is a very special place with a unique atmosphere.
Besides the famous “Kalkan Style” historic architecture, the many excellent restaurants of Kalkan contribute to the special atmosphere within Kalkan. Good dining has always been the way of life in Kalkan and continues today. In fact, Kalkan is said to have the highest number of restaurants and bars per inhabitant or square meter on the Turkish coast (over 100 of them!). Additionally, Kalkan is especially renowned in Turkey for its numerous roof terrace restaurants and bars which offer a wonderful view of the town, sea and stars. It’s also nice to sit at one of the many fine harbour-side restaurants and watch the pleasure boats and fishermen leave early in the morning as you eat your breakfast, or see the fishing boats return with the day’s catch in the evening.
There is lots to do during the day and nightlife is fun, but laid-back. You won’t find noisy, wild nightlife here, like in some other coastal resorts.
Kalkan curls snuggly around a historic harbour sheltered at the foot of the towering Taurus Mountains.
Kalkan by day is fun. The town center of Kalkan becomes surprisingly empty during the day as guests set off for daytime activities. Popular activities include beach-going, relaxing at beach clubs or swimming pools, water sports, exploring the ancient lands around Kalkan and boat and gullet trips. Don’t forget to stop by Kalkan’s Thursday Market to pick up some great bargains and see local life.
Kalkan Beach, various beach clubs around Kalkan and Kalamar Bays, Kaputas Beach, Patarra Beach with its ancient ruins to explore, and the Lycian way
Kas (half an hour by car (or a 13 mile walk along the Lycian Way!) – apart from boat trips within the bay or to Kaleköy (“castle village”/ Simena offering paragliding, mountain-biking, canyoning and scuba diving
The mountain roads behind Kalkan lead to a cooler area with many trout farms (simple restaurants specialising in serving trout but plenty of other options on the menu too)
Kekova - the sunken city
Simena - perfectly traditional village with Byzantine Fortress to climb up to explore and to see the spectacular views from on high
