Summary:

Sunnyhurst is attractive, comfortable and family friendly, located in a peaceful village, within walking distance of the beach and 2 great local pubs. With 4 bedrooms, 2 on each level, it is ideal for an intergenerational holiday, two families of four or just one large family. Tastefully decorated and furnished to a high quality, it offers space to socialise and relax with a large lounge and family kitchen diner with patio doors into the garden. The south facing garden is not overlooked and ideal for relaxing in after a busy day exploring the area.

Detailed inside description:

Upon entering Sunnyhurst, there is a good sized porch.

From the porch, you enter the lounge which is a substantial 24 metre square modern living room. There are two comfortable, large sofas, one leather and one corner sofa which can easily accommodate eight people. In addition, there is a wall mounted 34 inch Sony tv with freeview and Sony dvd player. A storage cupboard under the stairs provides a small number of dvds, toys and all aged family games.

From the living room, there is a door into the large kitchen diner. The extendable oak kitchen table can easily seat 8 people, with 2 long oak benches and 2 chairs. (in addition there is a large Amercian fridge freezer and range cooker, with gas hobs and electric fan oven; a range of glassware, cutlery and Denby crockery is stored in the many stylish Cooke & Lewis curved kitchen units). A small quantity of consumables will be provided to get you started such as tea, coffee, oil, spices, as well as the Welcome pack with some locally sourced products.

From the kitchen, are sliding patio doors that lead into the garden.

From the living room, there is a door into our 'North Wing' where the downstairs bedrooms are located either side of the family bathroom.

To the front of the house, there is a double bedroom with a modern en suite shower and toilet. A chest of drawers and tall boy offers good storage space.

Facing the garden at the back is the twin bedroom, with white modern bunk beds and large wardrobes. This room receives sunshine throughout the day and has a blackout blind as well as curtains.

From the lounge, stairs lead upstairs where the landing separates the two bedrooms.

The Master bedroom receives light from three velux windows, each with integral blackout blinds. Mahogany King size bed with Egyptian cotton linen, feather duvet and large wardrobes. Furthermore, there is a wrought iron towel rail and long mirror. The en suite room is newly fitted and has a powerful shower and lovely views!

On the other side of the landing is the remaining bedroom with en suite toilet and sink, hosting two velux windows. There is a chest of drawers and small wardrobe with hanging space to store your belongings.

Garden:

The rear garden has a large patio area for enjoying breakfast outdoors or relaxing over a bbq in the warm Cornish sunshine. Our lawn is great for children playing or for adults to simply enjoy relaxing on, surrounded by established shrubs and hedges. Two small gates mean this main garden area can be enclosed and safe for small children. This detached house can be accessed all the way around and there are two further gates meaning you can section off the back garden from the front, should you wish to. Our safe and substantial driveway offers plenty of parking, handy for those planning on bring a boat/kayakes/surf boards/motorhome etc. It also doubles as a play area too for kids of all ages, with secure gates from the road.

Local beaches:

Our nearest and favourite beach is Perran Sands in Perranuthnoe- walkable in 20 minutes- offering beautiful golden sands, great rock pooling and climbing opportunities, wonderful swimming and surfing conditions (though it is not lifeguarded) as well as a small cafe. There are also public toilets and parking facilities for a small daily price.

Our other favourite beaches are Praa Sands, Porthcurno, Sennen, Godrevy and Poldhu . Toilets and parking facilities available.

Tourist Attractions:

St Michael's Mount- world famous National Trust property just a mile away

Minack theatre- outdoor theatre built into the cliff face neighbouring Porthcurno beach and Telegraph museum

Eden project - 45min drive

Flambards- family friendly theme park, with museum and rides. Usually, free returns within the week is offered and tickets can be purchased with your Tesco vouchers.

St Ives - we think the best way to see this stunning harbour is on the train from St Erth. This not only avoids the hassles of parking but the views from the train of the Hayle estuary and stunning beaches of Porthminster and St Ives are truly breathtaking.

Fishing harbours -

Mousehole- quaint and beautiful, with great cafes (Whole Foods deli) and quality restaurants (The Old Coastguard, The Cornish Range) Why not visit Newlyn harbour on the way, the Tolcarne Inn offers a great seafood menu.

Porthleven- famous for its photographs of the storms of February 2014 when the waves pounded this traditional Cornish fishing harbour, this is a must see village. Unique local shops and fantastic restaurants (Kota Kai serves great food and very family friendly) and pubs, all with a great view of the ocean.

Just to let you know we had a lovely time staying in your place in Goldsithney. We had everything we needed and thought it was beautifully furnished. It was nice to have some space in the kitchen to store the food we had ordered! Thanks for the milk, eggs, butter and wine left for us on arrival.



We followed a few of your suggestions and went to Trehidy Country Park one day, Kynance Cove and Porth Curno and had a meal at the Old Coastguard in Moussehole - excellent food.

Great house, family friendly with good size bakcyard and kitchen. Clean and nice.

We were two families with small children travelling together. The house is big, and with two bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs, it was possible to have some privacy as well as spending time together. We especially liked the big and light kitchen with doors leading out to the nice backyard. The area is nice as well, only few minutes drive down to Perranuthnoe beach which became our favourite. The little village has two pubs and a little shop-just what you need. The owner left some great toys the children loved, and a nice welcome packet the grown-ups enjoyed:)

One thing we did miss was to be able to use the tumble dryer. The weather and the house is quite humid, and with three children the laundry piled up because it took a long time to dry.

Great house, great area, definitely worth a visit!

Great Stay! Beautiful spot for families!

A great place to be! It immediately felt like home. Very clean, very cosy and well equipped. Fabulous location to explore South Cornwall!! Would definitely return and can highly

A really lovely place to stay

We (4 addults and 4 kids) all really enjoyed our days at the place in Sunnyhurst. The weather except of one day was fine and we loved it to use the kitchen for preparing great fisch meals.

We found and tidy place and everything with Mrs C. Little went fine.

We strongly recomend this place for a stay as a very good place to start tours in the area of Cornwall.

Wonderful place to stay!

Great Base - smart, comfy, child-friendly

Great base for a family break. Good sized rooms, clean, well equipped. Loved the light-filled dining area looking onto garden. Lots to do in Cornwall we found, even in the winter. We rarely seemed to drive more than 5-10 minutes to get anywhere. On the colder days, we just enjoyed the log burner, sat around playing games and ate too many scones! Hope to come back in the Summer.

Spacious, private, convenient. Great kids' garden

This is such a great house for a family on holiday - it made it so easy to relax (which is what we really needed). The kids played for hours in the grassy garden and on the drive while we enjoyed coffee and late morning starts before heading off to one of the nearby beaches. We particularly loved Peranuthnoe with its quirky cafes - such huge meringues! The house was clean and welcoming, beds were comfy and the upstairs and downstairs bedrooms meant that the grandparents could sleep on away from the children's noise in the mornings. We've not done a home-stay before but would certainly recommend it now - no need to bring toys or books as so many for them to explore at the house and all with novelty value! Roundabout we loved Marazion beach and the magic of St Michael's Mount, Godolphin country manor (Nat Trust), Praa Sands. The teenager loved surfing at seen and the men did some paddle-boarding off Longrock beach (you can hire boards and stuff) as well as a round of Golf at Praa Sands. It was only in meeting other tourists that we realised how blessed we were with all the safe parking space - seems that's quite rare for holiday houses in Cornwall an other people seemed to be having quite a bit of stress with it. The owners are really attentive and helped us out with suggestions etc. All in all heartily recommend this house.

Many great novels, from Poldark to Daphne du Maurier and Rosamund Pilcher present Cornwall as the beautiful country that it is, but why not discover it for yourself and get to know its amazing beaches and secret hideaways. We love Sunnyhurst because it offers us everything; close to the beaches, great local walks, peacefully positioned just outside the village (which offers a shop, two pubs and a post office with beauty salon) It is easily accessed from the A30, being well placed to access the beautiful areas within west Penwith as well as the stunning St Ives.
