Newly revamped Villa Puerto Pollensa

In the residential area of Siller, Villa MAria combines peaceful surroundings with easy access to the stylish coastal resort of Puerto Pollensa. The resort's lovely beach is less than two kilometers away and there are shops, bars and places to eat within walking distance.

The villa has been completely revamped and redecorated this winter bring it to a very nice and high standard. The villa is situeated on a small plot however not overlooked with beautiful views of the mountains. Overlooking the swimming pool is a covered, purpose-built barbecue area.

Bedrooms: 1 double(1.80x 2.00cm); 2 twins (80x 2.00)

Bathrooms: 2 shower rooms, 2 bathrooms.

Layout: Ground Floor: entrance, living/ dining, kitchen (dishwasher, electric oven and hob, fridge/ freezer, washing machine), from the entrance hall you access the living room, a shower room which is beside the kitchen.

First Floor: Master double bedroom with en-suite shower room (large walk-in shower), 2 twin bedrooms each with en-suite bathroom

Amenities: Satellite TV, DVD, CD player, WI-FI, microwave, washing machine, A/C in the bedrooms and living room.

Swimming pool: 8 m. x 4 m.; rectangular; ladder.

Stunning villa in great location with amazing views.

With 4 small kids, we decided that a villa with its own pool was the best option for us, so we could keep a track on them easily and get some relaxation ourselves...and Villa Maria turned out to be absolutely perfect! With the supermarket an easy 10 minute walk away, the main square of Port de Pollenca about 20 mins, and the beach 25 mins (walking with kids) we felt truly spoiled.

Despite arriving in the early hours, there were no issues whatsoever gaining access. Patricia arranged us a taxi from the airport, and she came to visit us in the morning to make sure we were settled in. We were left a lovely welcome pack which meant the supermarket shop could wait till we felt truly refreshed.

The local bus service to Pollenca old town, Alcudia, Call Saint Vincenc, Inca and Palma leaves from a stop only 5 mins walk away. There are several lovely walks through the mountains to secluded beaches one of which starts a stones throw from the back gate of the villa.

Wed had a few very hot afternoons and the villa was perfect for quiet lounging in front of the telly for our boys... A couple of English speaking kids channels, and a selection of dvds were lifesavers :-). We used the air con in the villa in the bedrooms at night for the last couple of nights and the kids slept a lot better than without.

For a holiday away from the tourist hubbub, but still close enough to bus stops and town to avoid needing a car and to get to the local market (Wednesday morning), you couldn't beat Villa Maria.

Our only issue was intermittent WiFi access, which Patrician did her best to solve for us

A wonderful relaxing get away

We had a wonderful time staying here. The property is immaculately presented, and fully equipped. It was clear form the outset that a lot of effort has been put into this property to make it a great place to stay. It is in a quiet location secluded further by the surrounding hedges. Stunning views of the mountains make it more impressive that a lot of other properties in the area. Outside, the shallow end of the pool is particularly great if you have small children, whereas the deeper end is good if you are an adult wanting to relax. The undercover eating area and large parasol provide a good amount of shade in the garden if direct sun is not your thing. Inside is surprisingly cool even in the midday heat even without the air-conditioning which is there if you need it. Inside is spacious, clean and fully equipped. Excellent friendly introduction from the property manager, would definitely consider returning here or recommending to a friend. The supermarket is a 5-10 minute walk, and the beach is walkable too, although if you have a car the free parking away from the town end of the beach may tempt you to drive.

The Port de Pollensa, which is located on the Bay of Pollensa in the north east of Mallorca, is the tourist resort chosen by the majority of tourists who opt to spend their holidays in a hotel or apartment within the region of Pollensa.

It is built along the coast, with a promenade for pedestrians next to the beach, which is where most of the bars, cafés and restaurants are located. It is not one of the island´s larger resorts and the hotels and apartments here are low-rise buildings.

The resort has all the services needed to enjoy a holiday by the sea in a cosmopolitan and exclusive environment with unique surroundings and is a gathering point for people from different parts of Europe.

The marina at Port de Pollensa attracts a great number of pleasure craft and it is the departure point for the boats which run trips along the coast to the peninsula of Formentor, which is one of the most beautiful and popular spots on Mallorca.

The town of Port de Pollensa, which locals refer to as Moll, began to grow up at the end of the 19th century, when the first seafaring families settled here. Fishing and the start of tourism promoted the initial development of the town, bringing about the construction of the first hotels on the seafront and the summer homes of wealthy families. These buildings, which are separated from the sea by a promenade, provide one of Port de Pollensa´s most distinctive scenes, with pines and tamarisks seemingly rising out of the sea.
